Spice Express in Swindon

Second time we’ve tried chicken tikka masala and it’s been very salty both times. Popadoms were greasy and slightly burnt tasting.

Hadn't been here for a takeaway for a while. Ordered 2 chicken dishes, 2 nan breads and some bajis. Order taken efficiently and given 15-20 waiting time to pick up. Food ready on arrival to time described. All the food was delicious apart from the chicken in our dishes that was so so dry. It did not taste like it had been freshly cooked with the dish. A real disappointment for the money paid - will not be returning.

We live locally, so this is our 'go to,' takeaway. Recently under new management and the quality of food is very good. Staff friendly and helpful. We took away although they will deliver

We had a lovely meal here. The staff are super friendly and very attentive! Food was delicious everything was freshly cooked and oozing with flavour. The menu is extensive there’s so much choice and the portions are generous. It’s clean and neat and the toilets are clean and fresh, something which is important to me in any eating place 😉

Ordered takeaway. Special biryani was extremely bland, tarka daal was like a runny watery soup. Very very poor for the price. Avoid.

We ordered around 7:00 pm on a Saturday evening, our food took about 50 minutes to arrive. The distance to us from their location, is around 7 miles. The takeaway menu is quite extensive, having the usual fare, chefs specials and a good number of sides and extras. You can order by phone or online. It is also possible to collect as there is parking outside. The food was well packaged, though not overly hot on arrival. Taking travel time into account however it was not too bad. The food itself was delicious, nicely cooked, well spiced, loads of meat and in no way dry. The portions were large and the set meal for two was ample for that number. Good value for money taking delivery into account, Just over £70 for a meal for 5 people. Overall as I said, great food and when I am in the area again I will definitely give it another go. Highly recommended.

Always delicious food and if you ask they will do everything they can to convert a dish to Vegan for you! They remember regular orders which as a vegan is brilliant!!

Lovely food every time, they deliver super quick and have even got to know our order and that my partner loves extra garlic! Don’t even have to ask for it anymore 😄 5⭐️

I called this restaurant to say my food was dry and the problems I had with the dishes, the service I got was absolutely outrageous. I will NOT be ordering from this restaurant ever again. And can I also add the food was cold.

We normally order takeaways locally but decided to try somewhere different. We were not disappointed. Delivery was prompt, the driver was friendly and the dishes were lovely - chicken massala and madras were particularly tasty. Good size portions too. Thank you for a great meal.

Great food, tasty hot and delivered on time with a smile.Great flavours and ample portions. Would highly recommend but drop the voucher system. A bit upset about the voucher scenario and the driver wanted to see it. Such great service! Nothing is too much trouble and you can request anything and they will do their best to oblige, being a vegan household this works brilliantly for us as they do everything they can to accommodate us! Top marks every time!!

Just used for the second time after our recent move to Purton and I must say both times have been excellent. Great choice, extremely tasty. Happy to have such a great takeaway so close to home.

Wow the food here is something special and if it's not on the menu they don't mind making it, would highly recommend.

My family are very loyal customers to this place, and with good reason. Every meal we have had has been nothing short of perfection. I love the garlic balti in particular, but I do like exploring their menu. I cannot think of any criticisms and I look forward to my next meal from them. Cannot recommend highly enough

Food not great, went down hill with the customer service. The meat was tough, on delivery the food was warm and missing items, when we called the customer service was awful.

An excellent take away. The aroma from the curry reminds me of grandmother. The popadams pop and don't bend due to being freshly made to order.

We used to use this takeaway for years before we moved and after 15 odd years we re back in West swindon so we used this again on Saturday night and as normal the food was excellent. Got a warm welcome from the owner and the service and food was all spot on.We had a large order with 4 adults and a few bits for the grandkids and it was ready within 30 minutes to pick up. Garlic chicken chilli, chicken Korai, chicken tikka masala and chicken tikka Bhuna was all first class. I am biased towards Spice express as the service and food are excellent but this is still one of the best takeaways in Swindon which will be our regular again and even after 15 years it is still so good.I never had a bad meal from here all those years ago and it is testament it is still open and receiving excellent reviews, to the the owner and chefs well done all.

This is my favourite Indian takeaway in the swindon area. I have used it on many occasions. I love the Meat samosas and chicken chat on puri starters. As I like hot curries, I nearly always order the Chicken Tikka Nagawala as it is my favourite. My wifes favourite is chicken tikka garlic. Portions are large and the service is friendly.

First time I tried this place. We had our usual dishes but tried the cinnamon chicken ,sweet and spicy and chicken nagawalla, slightly hot. We couldn't believe the flavours we experienced in these dishes. If you want a change then we would highly recommend these dishes. Thank you Spice express.

So disappointed with our takeaway. It lacked flavour and was truly unenjoyable. Too many cardamom pods. Would definitely not be going back and would not recommend.

Just had a great takeaway Indian Meal. Chose the set meal for 2 which was more than enough for one adult and two teenagers, and worked out cheaper than getting the dishes we had planned on separately. Friendly service with only a short wait. This is a takeaway only! But well worth a visit!!!
