Cheap drinks thought the mixers for the spirits were flat. The decor is dated, furniture falling apart, toilets were disgusting and it seems to be frequented by teenagers of doubtful drinking age and seen as a hangout for them. Lovely location though.

. .No tires tu dinero! ! !

The worst experience in my life!!! So bad that it is comical. After ordering the food.. Me and my husband saw a mouse... Then 2 and up to at least 5 mice were running around our table! It was so utterly disgusting. Worst response was the managers. She simply agreed that yes they have mice, they come in through the door and the cleaner "cleans" them away and they come back. Food is absolutely not contaminated she said. I am shocked and upset. Never ever visit this place. Terrible so poor service.

My experience at this restaurant was superb not sure why all the other reviews where poor. I decided to host my sisters 21st birthday party at this lovely riverside lounge, we had a sit down dinner for around 20people in our own semi private area, I was liaising with such a helpful women called Maria. Maria made sure my night was perfect from the very start till the very end.I was able to come in before hand to set up and decorate the area we were given, I had given Maria all the information on what my group wanted to eat. Everyone's orders were correct. We booked a belly dancer privately for the party through Maria with a small extra charge as the belly dancer was for our table only, one of the best parts of the night as she got the whole group up on the dance floor. We were also allowed to have our own music which was also great. The waiters were very friendly highly recommend. My sisters words "I had the best birthday day ever" I am glad I chose this venue the location was lovely as the riverside views were amazing.

The restaurant is situated overlooking the river with a large outside seating area. The inside is spacious, decorated in a tacky Mediterranean themed style. The hygiene was sub standard, table had not been wiped down and the wine glasses weren't clean. When we arrived there was no one to greet us so we just found a table and grabbed some menus from other tables. The food was expensive for what it was, portion sizes were decent but the quality was below average. The chips were frozen, lamb steaks tasteless, peppercorn sauce awful.

Been here today for ice coffee that I have had two days in a row. Today when ordering the same drink it was made different. When asked to make it the same way as before. The barman just carried on making it the same way. Will not be coming back again. This is a place that is never busy. I can see why now

A great location and Moroccan / Lebanese food sitting outside overlooking the Thames on a warm evening ... Sign of a great evening one would say .... So how do you screw that up I ask? It seems with ease here...Hummous tastes watery lacking lemon and the depth good tahini brings, the tahini sauce is virtually solid, falafel taste frozen without flavour ( #pilpel you have a lot to answer for as I have not come across anything as good as yours yet). At least the wine is ok!And another thing, no table service, so you order and pay at the bar like a pub!!This place could be amazing, instead it's less than mediocre, what happened to passion and quality? I would rather pay a little more and get better quality, this could be a little bit of Morocco or Lebanon in London, instead it's an ok place to have a drink on a warm evening !!

This is a fairly spacious place with approx. 50 tables and is on the river under the St George's Wharf apt complex. Venues here don't have much footfall except in summer. This place seems to be a restaurant that's failed and is now in its death throes and is being run as a shisha smoking bar with overpriced drinks (and really poor food for those stupid enough to eat here). If you're a non-smoker then it's unpleasant due to people smoking shishas inside and out.We live locally and made the mistake of not checking tripadvisor before coming. The staff seem to be just going through motions, presumably until there's a break in the lease and the place can be shutdown. It's a shame as the decor inside is quite attractive. It'd be easy to make it so much better. The service was non-existent. I waited 5 minutes to be served at the bar (with no one else waiting) whilst the waitress made a cocktail making no attempt to acknowledge me. The same when it came to ordering food - it's as if they just want you to leave and not bother them.We ordered starters and mains but everything turned up at once, 45 mins after ordering. I checked the whole restaurant and there was only one other table eating. The "lamb steak" with chips (£13) tasted awful, nothing like lamb, was tiny & the chips were dry & cold. The sauce was congealed and looked awful. No salt or pepper were provided. The vege mezze platter for two (£14) was a few bits of gunk splattered on a plate - some of the items listed on the menu were missing. The flatbread pizza (£10) was dry and tasteless. We wouldn't eat or drink here again and would definitely recommend avoiding it.

Went for Friday lunch. Virtually empty (only two other tables filled) but service was still slow and haphazard. Room very cold. Lots of shouting from kitchen, not sure what was going on. Several menu items not available and food was very average, certainly not worth the price.Poor selection of overpriced mediocre beer. Ended up going to Riverside next door to warm up and have a second pint!

We were a large group booked for Saturday evening at the Souk River Lounge. The location is nice on the riverfront and the decor is pretty. That's as far as all the positives I have to say go.The staff took their sweet time to come and take our order despite the fact that the place was virtually empty. They seemed more interested in talking to each other than actually working. When they finally did come and take our orders, we waited an hour and a half for our food and drinks. A lot of the time they forgot people's drinks or dishes and had to be reminded. Granted we were a large party, but even the cold dishes took an unacceptable amount of time to be brought out. The food, when it finally came, was average and they made up for the pathetic lack of quantity by piling a load of salad leaves on the plate. Absolutely disappointing and would never go back here again.

Attracted by the good reputation of its more established sister restaurants in central London, I booked a table for 4 at Souk River Lounge. The first disappointment, upon arriving for my 9pm booking, was to find out that the 'river lounge' (outdoor space) was closing at 10pm. No mention of this on their website, mind you! So we waved goodbye to the perspective of a post dinner shisha with a view, and took a table inside the restaurant, which was uncomfortably warm and muggy. The second and biggest disappointment was the menu. I had done my homework and researched on the restaurant website, and was impressed by the array of cous cous and tagines on offer. But when the menu arrived, there were only 5 or 6 main courses on it, of which only one tagine, and vegetable cous cous only came as a side dish. I asked the waiter for explanations and he said that the sister restaurants in central London have the wider menu - which was no excuse at all, because on the website I had specifically selected the River Lounge menu and not a generic menu.Anyway we ordered and the third disappointment was the food. The mezze were okay but nothing you wouldn't find in any Lebanese restaurant. I then ordered a merguez salad and the merguez (lamb sausages) were dry and flavourless, nothing to do with the juicy spiced ones that you can buy in any French supermarket. My boyfriend was tempted by the 'Moroccan flatbread' which turned out to be nothing but a mediocre pizza. And this unimpressive food didn't come cheap at over £30 per person. It's safe to say we won't be back...

I have visited Souk more than once, given I live in the same complex, and enjoy sitting in the sun by the river. However it is always a frustrating experience; the staff pay little to no attention to the customers, so you need to go to bar, wait in the queue and wait for the drinks to made (particularly painful when you order different cocktails and coffees) When you could have spent the last 15 minutes sitting with your friends in sun! The 'do you want to add a tip' when paying by card is extra cheeky! As a local resident, I am waiting for this place to shut down in the hope something better comes along!

While staying in St George's Wharf some friends and I decided to have dinner here. The food was good value and mediocre (I have had far better Moutabel elsewhere). But what really let it down was a number of things - the sofa we sat on was broken, there were people asleep at the next table (apparently Muslims waiting for the sun to go down so they could eat during Ramadan - fair enough - but asleep at the table?!?!). Also it took the staff 15 minutes to realise we were standing in the middle of the restaurant waiting to be seated, we had to get the menus ourselves while staff chatted with each other. We have to wave at staff for ten minutes until we could ask for the bill...then about three arrived and asked if we wanted the bill finally.

This place is in a new development on the Thames at Vauxhall. It was a lovely evening when we went there. The bars and restaurants were all full of people enjoying the great views and the weather. This place was no exception. We had a set menu as there were a number o us. It was extremely good value - there was more than enough food and it was delicious. If you are in the area - it is well worth a visit.
