Sofi's Plaice in Dudley

I come form London and I was shocked by the prices of this place it was surprisingly cheap for how good the food was only negative thing I have to say is I asked for cheese on my burger witch I did not get other than that it was one of the best chip shops I've ever been to highly recommend going people treat u like family

The food is average. i was expecting better quality kebab meat than what i got. They use the same kebab meat as majority of the cheaper fish and chips. They have nothing special. But paying £4 for a mini Kebab meat & chips is extortionate considering Chicka Filla on New St (1 min walk away) offer the same kebab meat with a piece of chicken and chips for £3.50, they also have sit in area. Sofi Place need to relook at what competition is offering and price accordingly as at the moment they appear as a rip off.

I found a hair in my fish. I was already home and couldn't bother to take it back to show them. They should all wear hair nets. I went to the new opening and I was still surprised that the shop had not been expanded. I was hoping that the cafe next door would have been knocked down or even opened up to accommodate the number of people lining up each time. The line is still long outside and on rainy cold wet and windy days it is not convenient. Not rushing back to go there. I will take the trip to Russell Hall Hospital's The Blue Submarine to get my fish and chips going forward.

I have been complaining about lack of decent food near my office, until I found this hidden gem. Just been there for the 2nd time and cannot recommend more. The food is perfect and service is very swift, but they get busy fairly quickly. Apparently, I'm not the only one who enjoys great food, polite and friendly service. I’m becoming regular :P

Best battered chips for miles around. Ever since 'the Golden Chip Shop' in Wolverhampton street disappeared, I've wandered aimlessly around town for the missing delicacy. OK - you might say "It's only chips", but no, that isn't so. There are chips and chips, and these are the best chips! Fish was OK. :-)

The place is alright but I went there for the first time I ordered cone chips which was £1.80 and a curry sauce for 80p and i should of paid £2.60 but I got ripped off and had to pay £2.99 now what I’m about to tell you next is gonna shock you I paid with a £10 note and should of got £7 but instead the lady who served me gave me £1.50 change and tried to lie to the other workers saying I paid with a £5 note but I paid with a £10 note won’t be going there again after getting scammed out of my money 😡😡😡😡😡

Stopped on way home from work for somthing quick. Had a small kebab meat n chip special. Was really enjoying it until I come to my last couple of chips and found a long black hair. Apart from that the staff were very friendly but now put off from using the place again Have added a photo

Best chip shop in the area. Fish and chips are delicious. I always eat in with my young son. Maria is very welcoming and friendly, she can't do enough to make out visit enjoyable.

Hard to just go to a chippy and get a cone off chips nowadays as bo where does them then come across this place and wow I thought my local chippy was the best but this one was better . What a tasty chippy

It's always a pleasure to visit Sofi's Plaice, the food is great, the staff are among the friendliest you could imagine, and did I mention the food? All of their food is very reasonably priced, being on the more affordable side compared to other chippies in the area. The food itself is always hot, flavoursome, and not too greasy. The portions are generous, even a small cone of chips will fill you up, along with any of their main items. The staff are warm and welcoming, always with a smile and happy to fill your order exactly as you want it. I wish I could comment on their attitude to complaints, but I've never had an issue here, and I haven't seen anyone else with one in the past few weeks of regularly visiting here. In conclusion, if you're in the area and feeling hungry, pop into this fantastic 'plaice' for a bite to eat! You won't regret it, and neither will your bank account.
