Society Coffee Shop & Bar in Chesterfield

Lovely compact coffee shop, always a great selection of music playing, varied selection of fresh donuts on offer. Toasties are lovely too. Staff very friendly and always make my dog feel welcome. Miles better than Nero’s or Costa, always support your independent shops. I haven’t tried the beers yet but will as Paulander is always on draft!

Love this place. Friendly staff, Lou, Liam and Rihannah all great. Grilled cheese is fabulous. Coffee is great quality. Ambience is relaxed and welcoming. Just a quaint good fun place.

Very good coffee (some in our group are Italian and have very high coffee standards 😆 so this is a great compliment), cake was very good too and we received a great service. We also loved the homely details, warm and welcoming atmosphere

The best coffee - flat white, we had for a long time! It had so much flavour and the consistency was spot on. The place has a nice feel to it and they serve beer as well. Their doughnuts looked amazing too. Maybe next time!

The staff is great. We enjoyed our time there. The lady understood our wishes for drinks and made them really delicious. Also the place is very clean and has a homely atmosphere. The only downside is the lack of overhead lights in the large hall on the second floor and the TV didn't work. But I'm sure that's something that can be easily fixed

Best coffee shop for miles around. At weekends they serve Doughnotts doughnuts. Beers on tap too. My favourite cafe in Chesterfield.

First time in the cafe/ bar. Very welcoming owner who explained what they served and opening hours. We sat upstairs which had a tasteful decor , very clean toilets and plenty of seating. The two cappuccinos we had including one decaff were excellent and you could taste the coffee and not just hot milk. We will try the bar on Saturday as there was a good choice of craft beers, lager and a local hand pump real ale.

Very warm atmosphere, quaintly decorated. A very tasty cheese toastie with the options to add chroizon and onions, etc.

I loved it when I visited a few weeks ago. The coffee was wonderful and I loved the hanging baskets and decor. It's really nice upstairs to come on cold wintery days away from the hussle and bussle of the town.

Cute coffee shop would recommend especially for book readers to escape, would be better if had comfy chairs in the window, but coffees are perfect and beautifully made

Really nice spot to have a coffee. I was going to go to Nero but glad I came across this place instead. I liked the music playing. Service friendly, and he let transfer the rest of my coffee into a takeaway cup!

Had a meeting in Chesterfield so I was glad to have found this place. Got a couple of fantastic coffees and a grilled cheese sarnie a++++ what a place to perch on your laptop. I'm glad I read the reviews or else I may not have got the grilled cheese sandwich. Just wish I could tried some of the beers! Another time.

Recently visited here for the first time and loved it. Great choice of craft beers, the coffees were very nice and the grilled cheese sandwiches were first class. There was a really nice atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. We'll definitely be back soon!
