given the option of mild, medium , hot , extra hot … I would have thought ordering “mild” would have been a safe option when i can’t have overly spicy food. Both my dishes were so spicy! I could barely eat them.

Wraps weren’t as good as last time, the naan bread was bit thin so fell apart, asked for cabbage and cucumber and only got lettuce? Not as much chicken either but was still nice

I have dined in at slumdog Dalkeith on many occasions and also take away, and always had the nicest time and great food, staff are all lovely such a pleasant atmosphere, will always be my go to in the area, they always have good offers on weed which I hope to continue to see more of as I like to treat the family here, would Definitely recommend , also you need to try the frozen cocktails 😜😜😜 well done slumdog , happy customer x

quality food and good portions size

Food was enjoyable overall, but the order was missing items. Contacted the restaurant to find out that it had been delivered by a different branch, when I was passed to them they were very dismissive. After multiple return calls, the missing items were delivered over 90 mins later. Ruined the meal, won’t be back.

Lovely food and reasonably priced.

Bollywood music videos on the big screen, smelled delightful! Walked in off the street and got some street food takeaway. Sooooooo good and the service was fast and friendly!

I've ordered takeaway from here multiple times over the last three months and I've consistently enjoyed each time. More specifically I've had the chicken tikka, Bhuna, Garlic chili and the Karahi most recently. Excellent and I'm already craving more, highly recommend.

All in all, a very tasty takeaway. We’ve used Slumdog a few times and enjoy their twists on Indian food. Only slightly disappointing thing from our order that was different from usual, the chips were very soggy and the rice wasn’t piping hot. The food itself though tasted fantastic!

My order was incorrect delivered vegetable pakora wrap. I called the restaurant and they advised would send another, then later called to question this and that id ordered a vegetable one told them there was no option for this just stated pakora and i assumed it was chicken so agreed would send another. When i received the new one it had salad which was clearly stated i didn’t want. Apart from that it was ok. I would order again but think this would id call in to avoid mistakes

Ordered at 12.50 and the food arrived cold at 14.25. tikka masala sauce was not good at all. Would not order for delivery again as other reviews suggest this is a regular occuance.

Ordered at 17:33. Delivery expected by 18:50. Phoned at 20:00. Deluvered at 20:30. Very disappointed. And by the time it came i didn't really want to eat. Waste of time and money. Wont be ordering again for a long time

arrived 2 hours after ordering the food. The restaurant is a 15 minute drive away. This is not good enough. will never order from Slumdog again. The food is good but this happened the last time I ordered from here. it took 2 1/2 hours last time.

Far to hot and no flavour at all not what was described on the menu at all and one of the curries was ordered to be mild but was far to hot also

Went on website and delivery window was 45 minutes. But after order it was up to 80 minutes, nearly doubling the delivery time frame. So 1 hour 10 minutes later, food arrived luke warm and had to go into microwave. I usually go to Bell Bottom who are further away and food is always hot but they were displaying up to 60 minutes for delivery. Not making that mistake again. Food was alright but nothing amazing but not the worst. Always heard great reviews of Slumdog but not sure I'd order again.

Bhoona didn't taste like bhoona I've had anywhere else. No tomatoes!!! Seriously lacking in flavour. Vindaloo was only spicy again lacking in any sort of flavour. The korma was OK. Also lacking in chicken pieces. Rice and naan bread was best part. 5.99 for 2 onion bhaji and 2 brocoli bhaji is ridiculous. Won't be back. I'm glad this was 40% off as I would be seriously annoyed to have paid full price.

Ordered the Sweet Potato Tiki only to be delivered what can only be described as greasy fried potato fritters! Managed to receive refund from JustEat however this is extremely disappointing. If you can't fulfil an order, then you should make an effort to let the customer know! Did you think we wouldn't notice?

Pakora very nice. Chilli garlic chicken was ‘different’. Almost like Chinese with corn flour coated chicken. Not a normal North Indian chilli garlic had before.

Considering it was a busy Saturday night I assume, the delivery was only 10-15 minutes over the scheduled time it gives. Food was still piping hot and really tasty! First time trying here and I completely recommend and will be back! Thank you :)

Waited over an hour for our food, it arrived stone cold. Called the restaurant and after a debate, they agreed to send out a replacement order if we returned the entire order to the driver. We agreed as this was meant to take 20-25 minutes max. 50 minutes later, the replacement arrives. Quality was very poor compared to usual, the curries were very watery and several items were missing. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning, which is a shame as we had enjoyed the food on previous occasions.

3 TINY chicken pieces of pakora for £6.49 is shocking. complaint put in but not interested in the slightest. Terrible customer service!!!!!

Ordered 2 meals. Chicken madras was watery and pretty tasteless. Dansak and Naan were decent though

most of the food had to be reheated, asked for a stus update and was told 10 minutes, didn't arrive for nearly half an hour after that.

I was really disappointed with the quality of my curry. I ordered a chicken tikka masala and there was very little chicken in it and it didn't taste good at all. The chicken was really dry and the sauce was like lentil soup... The rice was dry and some of it was hard like it wasn't cooked properly. It definitely wasn't worth the £20 that I paid for it. I should have stuck to a Chinese curry instead..

Got a notification 20 minutes after food was ready saying our food was now ready to collect, so upon collection it was cold. After arriving home order, realised half the order was missing. Waste of money. Avoid!

Very disappointing meal. Side dishes were tasty. Main courses were tasteless. Service was good. Toilets difficult to find. Had been to slumdog in Corstorphine and expected a similar level of food.

I am a long time repeat customer - the food is always delicious, piping hot, and the frozen daiquiris are amazing!

Ordered food through app and went to pick up, but door had Closed board and Door was not opening...so also there was no one present either at the tables or in the bar side...so had to go to the next restaurant to place and order...after calling they claim to be open and door not locked...check your CCTV footage

ordered 3 + 1 poppadoms and received 1 didn't phone them about it as they are about 20/25 mins away but they should pay attention to what people are ordering since they are charging for the stuff

driver phoned 30 minutes after due time to say I wasn't in. I told him he's obviously at the wrong address. He agreed then to deliver the correct address. once he arrived he said the order was incomplete as they forgot parts of the order. completely useless. will not use the service or restaurant ever ever again.

Wish their food tasted like it was supposed to. Bhuna was good but tikka and madras didn't taste how they should. They taste different every time.

This is my 3rd order from Slumdog. It seems to be hit or miss on the taste of the dishes. I always order madras and tonight it was no taste all chilli. None of the 3 orders have tasted like a madras. My kids said the same about their food too.

Both curries were lacking in meat, and the tiny tub of spiced onions is quite outrageous given the price. It feels like a complete rip-off… Will never order from here again!!!!

Ordered delivery directly on their website. After placing the order got a call within two minutes that the cider drink I ordered wasn't available. I requested a refund of the item which they agreed to, but so far not received confirmation of this via email. Additionally, the main I ordered Lamb Chop Tava Masala, I ordered "Mild". However this meal was spicier than the dish my partner ordered, "Spicy" Railway Lamb Curry. Other than this the food was nice and delivered promptly.
