Absolutely amazing service, we have had the same server Lavinia the last two times we came! She’s so attentive, and is constantly checking that we are okay. She is what keeps us coming back, she is definitely our favourite server!!! Accommodates for everything we asked for too, couldn’t praise her enough. The price and the atmosphere is absolutely amazing too, couldn’t recommend enough!

We had such an incredible time at slug and lettuce! We had Chloe as our bartender for bottomless brunch and it was amazing! She made sure we always had a drink and there were 17 of us! She was so friendly and kind and we were so impressed by the service we’d definitely come again! Thank you so much 🫶

0 stars, pompous staff, incredibly aggressive, zero respect for customers. The chain is £2bn in debt and letting clowns run the show. I doubt this will be open in 12 months. Hopefully we will get a decent bar back with adults running it instead. The problem is that they aren't accountable, respond to complaints themselves and as a result, none of this info goes back to the actual grown ups! Fingers crossed, I get a narcissistic and juvenile response back to illustrate my point further as they really can't help themselves, spewing vitriol on command. And go...

Gabby and Chloe couldn’t have been better. We came for bottomless brunch for my friends birthday and they accommodated us perfectly. They even changed and turned up the music for us. Definitely the best experience we’ve had in a while. Thank you very much x

Popped in with our kids for a bit of lunch before the cinema. Their burgers and fries are delicious, kids meals are a decent size for the price x

Can’t really rate the atmosphere as it was a quiet cold , rainy day today 17/11/24. However having said that … the heating was not turned on . On request at around 3.45 pm the barmaid switched it on and says it would become very warm very quick .. that didn’t happen . Still as cold on leaving an hour later . Food was terrible ! Ordered chicken pasta in creamy sauce.. chicken was like rubber and the creamy sauce as thin as water . Even the Diet Coke tasted weak. Husband ordered big breakfast with scrambled egg option.. came as a fried egg chopped into pieces . Food was average tasting . Got refunded on pasta meal which sent back straight away and just had a side of sweet potato fries for quickness as we had waited around 40 minutes already for hood. They did taste nice but a simple thing to cook ! Girls behind bar were very apologetic and lovely. ….. Another issue was dirty seats .. I didn’t want to moan further so just left without complaint about that! Won’t be visiting again in a hurry!!! If a chef does not know how to do scrambled egg .. then it is time for a change of job ! On a better note .. the decor including the festive decor was lovely .

We had a lovely visit to Slug and Lettuce today. We were a large family group and all felt welcome and well cared for by Elijah. Not only was our table set up perfectly to meet all our needs, but they had even taken the care to highlight the food options available for the member of our group that had dietary needs. Elijah was attentive throughout our visit. They chatted and engaged with all of us, going that extra mile to ensure that the young children in our group were happy. He brought them colouring sheets and even involved them in hiding the “elf” for other staff to find; they really did go that extra mile. The food was tasty and Elijah again made sure the children were happy, bringing them extra condiments. Our visit really did feel special due to Elijah’s smiles, warm welcome and attentiveness. Thank you Elijah for making our visit so lovely.

Today we had a large family booking for lunch. We were greeted by Elijah who had already prepped the table ready for the party including activities ready for the children. From the get go Elijah made sure our experience was A* and was attentive to the needs of all our party. The food was excellent and was greatly enjoyed by all all credit to the chef Molly who made all items exactly to specifications of each person. Drinks were spot on and delivered promptly again by our host and server Elijah. Overall a great venue, great menu and a very enjoyable experience. Thanks to all especially Elijah and Molly.

Was having a pleasant afternoon in what turned out to be a relatively dead venue for a Saturday. Despite having spent a couple of hours there (and a lot of money on overpriced food and drink), it turned out that the table should have been reserved for a later arrival. The staff, rather than politely offer another table, demanded we go and stand at the bar to finish our drinks. Not the service you'd expect from any pub. Recommend avoiding, however pleasant it may first appear. Updated post S&L response: All we had expected was to be offered an alternate table after staff realised they needed our table. This did NOT happen. We were asked to go and stand at the bar. Strangely enough, I did call this disgraceful service, at which point we decided to walk out and find another venue.

My wife and I recently visited for some drinks and a bite to eat. The cocktails were visually appealing but leaned more towards looking good than delivering in flavor; many were mostly soda water and ice. The 2-for-1 cocktail deal is a nice perk, though you do need to order the same drink, which can be a bit limiting. The interior has a lovely, Instagram-worthy vibe, and the food was quite tasty and reasonably priced. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and would definitely return!

Insanely overpriced, been told horror stories from the staff about various insects and slugs being found in the ice machines. The atmosphere is nice but the revolting stories about the conditions behind the bar I keep hearing about put me off. The disabled toilet is usually either locked or out of order. No bar in Newcastle should be selling bottles of vodka for £200.

Had bottomless brunch. Servers were lovely and always offered more drinks. We always had a full glass and were here for 3 hours instead of 2 !!! Would highly reccomend

This was a grand bar for cocktails, with lighting lining the entire room! The stylish metal structures in the background add to the feel, counter is well presented too. Staff were friendly and seating is comfortable, where me and my friend had the yummy Under the Sea with the sweets inside!
