Food is good but have the all you can eat menu for value for money

Friendly, helpful staff & great food!

Lovely restaurant with extremely pleasant and efficient staff. Very helpful on arrival regarding parking permit. The food was beautiful, explananations regarding the menu and dishes was very helpful. All food was cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. It's well worth a visit.

We stumbled across this place after my son decided for his birthday he wanted to go and eat a Chinese in a ‘sitting down’ restaurant. We live in Stafford so travelled to here and what a find. The food was delicious and the ladies there very friendly . After our usual Chinese going down hill this is now where we get take away from. Totally worth the 15 mins drive!

Service was very good. Unfortunately the food was a big disappointment - there wasn't really any flavour to it, for example the yuk sung we ordered tasted almost exclusively of soy sauce.

I absolutely love it here. The staff are always accommodating and lovely. The foods consistently delicious with a menu full of variety! The price is really good considering it’s all you can eat fresh food. I will never suggest anywhere else for a family outing !

Visited today after coming off the M6 with no previous knowledge besides a quick Google search as we wanted some dinner before continuing on our drive. We had no expectations but were blown away! I initially thought the price was a bit expensive but it was honestly worth every penny! Every member of staff were so friendly and full of advice to make sure you got exactly what you wanted and needed. They felt very much like your grandma feeding you up at Christmas! We tried to order a couple of items as 1 to share (including wan tons) and they advised us they were very small so we ended up with 2 each but they were right! Would have been so sad to share 1 between the 2 of us, haha! We aren't from the area but have already saved it on maps so we can visit any time we go down the M6 again! Best Chinese ever!

Value for money, the staff are amazing and couldn't do enough for you they are a credit to the Sizzling Wok. I will definitely go back for more food 😋 Thank you Luigi

Had a great time for my dad's 75th birthday. Staff allowed us to take balloons, banners, confetti and a cake. They played Happy birthday when they brought out the cake which was amazing. Food was tasty and lots to choose from.

Good service, nice food. Fill up on the starters before moving to the mains as there better.

Regular visitor over the years and the food and service remains superb. The only reason it's a 4 out of 5 is price £25+ per person which as we dont eat a great deal is excessive for us - I think the high price is aimed at keeping alot of people away who would otherwise take advantage and just eat and eat

Took too long to get to me and food was straight out the freezer. Firstly, the food.. other than the stir fry I ordered and a colleague did the same it looked like it was out of a Sainsbury’s Chinese special sharer for a New Year’s party. Samosas were shockingly bad, chow mein egg noodles I’ve seen super noodles with more texture and denser. The salt and pepper chips we ordered for 2 and got less than a hand full then they still didn’t taste like the real thing we’re just chips with a little bit of topping. Obviously we couldn’t order the whole menu but we ordered a good variety and they asked us to stop, thought it was all you can eat? Soon as we arrived it was fine service was good at the bar, sat down within 5 minutes without reservation so no complaints there good… BUT, from ordering my drink waiting for them to come back (bare in mind you have 2 hours from your order to finish) took 15/20 minutes, tried flagging them down and all I got from the distance was a ‘finger’ to wait (index finger not middle of course) even so I found this extremely unprofessional. The lady towards the end of our night there because we got served by three different ladies was lovely. We actually said the crispy chicken was so rubbery it wasn’t edible she said sorry and took it away, It’s obvious it’s a well known establishment locally and does fairly well but I will not be coming back by choice unless organised by family or friends and I don’t get a say. For the size of the venue and being an all you can eat served to your table it doesn’t feel like it works for the customer, was a Saturday night and late it was still obvious there’s cracks in the flow of the restaurant.

Recently eat in here with my family and we all agreed this is the best Chinese around the rice was incredible the quality of food was excellent and the staff were polite friendly and delivered our food and drinks very quickly . Would definitely recommend

Would 100% recommend. Not the cheapest but for what you get it is definitly more than a reasonable cost as you can order as many plates. The food is lovely and a very good chance to try new things. The customer service is exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and the ladies we met were all very friendly. Thankyou for helping to make such a special birthday. Will definitly return.

The food was average.the service was good.the price for children was over priced.we had 13month baby and had to pay £10.99. The main for a 10 year old was 2 chicken nuggets and a few chip and was full price.sorry won't be going again.

Don't leave many reviews but this was a must! Food was absolutely lovely, came here for a meal with family and everyone enjoyed it, will certainly be back!

Great find on a roadtrip. The staff were super friendly and the food was amazing. Vegetarian options were good and the staff asked about what was ok dietary wise.

AMAZING!!!!! If you want to try lots of things and not spend a fortune doing so then this is the place for you. The staff are supper polite and friendly, the meals come out wok hot so be careful as everything is cooked to order and I burnt my tongue lol, my fault not theirs. Every dish is so tasty, the staff make sure you're ordering while you eat so that as you finish one dish the next is arriving. Everything is fully explained regarding the way the "all you can eat" works. Come very hungry, don't eat too many starters and dig in to the main courses. We'll certainly be back

Had an amazing meal at Sizzling Wok last night. We were having a family meal for a birthday and the staff were so attentive and the food was lovely. We all had a great time and we cannot wait for our next visit.

Not been for a few years but the food and service were still as good as ever...love the place.

Amazing food cooked fresh as you order. So tasty and staff were lovely. You can order as many starters as you like and then as many mains (you just can't go back to starters). You pay extra for the dessert (if you can fit it in). Would 100% recommend this place.

BEST CHINESE EVER quality and price is bang on Highly reccomend salt and pepper prawns the chow mein bbq sauce & curry sauce are amazing haven’t come across a better Chinese would be great if you delivered but the custom says it all can eat in all you can eat or takeaway really friendly lady on the desk too 🎇🥡🥢🎎

Went to Sizzling Wok tonight with my sister for a little birthday dinner. Food was lovely, very tasty. Nice atmosphere and service was great, we never waited and the staff were helpful and friendly. We'll be going back with friends again soon.

Eat all you can Chinese resturant - staff are good at managing people’s orders. This is not a buffet - you order through the waiters/waitresses. Any food not eaten needs to be paid for. Once you have finished with starters, you order mains - you cannot then reorder any starters. The food is lovely, hot & tasty. It is fairly expensive £26.50 Any child over 1.4m (height chart on the wall) pays full price..…no matter how much they eat. Under 1.4m £10.50.

We picked this Chinese restaurant based on the reviews on Trip Advisor and they weren't wrong. We had a take away, that had prawns & mushroom, sweet & sour pork, teriyaki beef, egg friend rice and chips. The Take Away was ready within 15 minutes and every dish was delicious. It was full of diners too (which is always a good sign). Will definitely be back again.

Excellent local (to Penkridge, Cannock) Chinese restaurant. We ordered take away and it was ready within 15 minutes. We had sweet & sour port, prawns and mushrooms, teriyaki beef, chicken fried rice and chips. Every dish was delicious! The restaurant was busy with diners eating in and also people ordering take aways. Great find. We shall certainly be back!

Lovely food as much as you can eat .

I love that in this ask you can eat restaurant, they don't like your wasting food, and only bring out enough at a time for you to eat. If you do waste food you do get charged which frankly I think it's fair and encourages people to not order more than they can actually eat. The variety of food is great. The service depending on who serves you can be nice, some staff are more abrupt than others but they aren't unpleasant or rude. You also cannot more on to the next course until you are ready to have nothing else from the previous course, so when you move on to the mains, you cannot then order from the starters again. It's always busy and pleasant when we have been here and would recommend.

The food is great when you get it! We've just left having paid for a meal they couldn't provide. We phoned ahead and were told 40 minutes, but upon arrival our order had disappeared. We ordered again, they took payment, then after half an hour were told they couldn't give us what we ordered.

Ordering process is a nightmare and portion sizes are hit and miss, price for all you can eat is very high unless you eat loads and pudding isn't included.

The food was good with a decent selection of foods avaliable.. staff were also great to interact with. The only gripe I have is the cost of it. Must be the most expensive all you can eat in the whole area...

Dined there with my husband last night as been wanting to go for a while. Wish we had stayed away bill was £57 which included a pint of carling and got charged £1.50 for tap water. Way overpriced food was discusting way too much salt in everything we had to the point drank 2 litres of water to rehydrate ribs were just bits of dry bone to be honest didnt enjoy 1 bit of the experience asked what was for dessert got thrust a menu of which was extra after paying nearly £27 each which is diabolical i thought desserts were included ill stick to jonny wongs in burntwood better priced water and desserts included

Really nice food, but way overpriced. Nearly 27pp you are not going to get your money's worth here. I would suggest including Dessert into the price and it would make it good value! Staff were really friendly. The place could do with a facelift.

Very very attentive service. Good food. A little unusual as you are ordering as if you are selecting from a buffet but everything is cooked to order. Good value if you require a banquet. Food portions are small but you can just keep ordering additional dishes or more of the same. Will certainly return.

Excellent place to eat with family and friends

From the moment I called to arriving 15 minutes later on Friday night for a table for 4, I can truly say the staff were so lovely, friendly & attentive. The food was excellent . Thank you to all the staff and chef for their patience as we were the last to leave. See you soon 😊

This is a great place to go. Food is served at your table and it's like having dim sum brought to you. Excellent atmosphere waited on by very attentive staff. It is a bit on the pricey side at £25.60 per person, but, you can stuff yourself silly, so best advice, go hungry and tuck in 😊

Went to sizzling wok Chinese on Friday 19th May for a takeaway in Penkridge good selection on menu we had the hot and sour soup then chicken curry and sweet and sour chicken and some spare rids service was great lovely people only had to wait about 10 minutes for food and we really enjoyed the meal well cooked and plenty of it would recommend it will vist again May be for sit down meal

Love this place, the food is super fresh and hot. You keep choosing your starters and when your done with those you move onto to the mains. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I especially love their pork in teriyaki sauce (pictured). It was so good that I'm taking my husband back there on Saturday!

Although food was delicious, unless you've a massive appetite you won't get your money's worth. Wouldn't visit again as think £26 per head is too much and doesn't even include a dessert.

Great idea for an 'all you can eat' with freshly cooked dishes rather than food drying at a buffet. Huge selection of food to choose from though some of the portion sizes seemed particularly small and were gone in literally two bites so it did feel that we were continually ordering more food. The plus side was that dinner wasn't rushed. Plenty of parking. Not overly easy to find as tucked behind a fuel filling station but perfectly good ambience once inside. Happy to re-visit as this is a convenient mid-point for casual family gatherings.

Visited with a group of friend and had never been before. The idea is brilliant and the food was very tasty. All cooked fresh. Drinks were reasonably priced. The only downside was the service felt very rushed but this wouldn’t put me off again as I think the staff were just very busy and clearly working hard.

This place is terrible went for a meal here with friends paid bill un full with a 12% tip to staff chef then came out from kitchen and started swearing repetidly and threatened us with violence for no reason what so ever as it was my first time there he was very aggressive and told us that he spit in our food please be aware this place is terrible

Booked table with friends, warm welcome, and excellent service. Very attentive staff and polite. Kept checking see if everything was ok. Food was absolutely amazing never have I had a Chinese with such great flavours and presentation good. Very great value for money will for sure be eating here again. Love this place food great but they have out priced there selves it was 19 90 a head now its 25 90 a head won't be goin for a long time there's plenty of places to eat that are just as good
