Same very good selection of beers . Didn't try the food . Staff seemed pleasant enough. However be aware this place serves great beer however if you are looking for a soft drink check the price before ordering. The soft drinks are more expensive than the beers.

Awful hard wooden seats. No atmosphere. Beer and cider is horrid, probably the worst cider I have ever tasted. Bottled beers as an alternative in short supply. The smoked meat is foul, tastes like a smoked rubber tyre and the chips have so much sauce they are soggy and inedible. Staff throw the food at you, even though it was quiet and the tables are left uncleared. Sorry can’t think of anything good to say, even the toilets didn’t flush!

Beer is good, food is good, but won't be rushing back after my wife and I walked in about 5pm on a sat night without a booking and then got treated like morons for thinking we could walk into an empty bar unannounced for a drink having not booked in advance. When I pointed out I didn't realise we needed a booking the guy said bluntly, "well you do if we're fully booked!?" Yeah that's great, but you're literally empty... In true Aberdeen business sense style, he didn't seem to put 2 and 2 together that there was an opportunity to make some extra cash but grudgingly gave us a table stating firmly he needed it back by 5.45. "No problems! " Literally at 5.40, even though the place was still half empty and no one near our long bench, nor would it have taken more than 20 seconds to clear our pints and shared plate of chips, he took pleasure in telling us he needed the table back in 5 minutes. For context, we went to another place up the hill after (that was actually nearly full) and asked for a table and the response was, "we are full but we'll do our best to fit you in..." Not at 6 Degrees North, though. Instead of just letting us stay until the next lot of folk who'sd booked actually showed up, they couldn't wait to get rid of us. Bye Felicia!

I have just finished eating a takeaway from here with my partner and child. I could not be more impressed, when I phoned i explained my partner had some allergies and I was put straight on to someone from the kitchen who talked me through options and let me suggest my own. The food was very acceptable portions... i might add I'm 6ft 2 with a large appetite my partner is still struggling through hers... but i suspect it may beat her. The food was truly marvelous. Thank you, excellent service, very reasonable pricing and a wonderful experience from Start to finish. Note.... It beat her, leaving more for me.

Beer and Soup together in a liquid form served up inside a hollowed out loaf of home made bread.......Mind blown! As soon as I became aware of this gastric offering; I knew it was the beginning of the rest of my life. I knew that my existence thus far and all the events therein had been leading to the moment when i would behold this fusion of beer, soup and bread. It was pretty good although i think they may have taken it off the menu now (maybe it's seasonal?). It was certainly filling and seldom do i walkaway having only had one course when work are paying, but this was the case at six degrees. The venue is a large two-tiered, quirky modern place where you can easily blend into the background (ideal if you're a away on youre on with work like myself) and there's a great range of beers that range from reasonably priced to eye wateringly expensive. The beers are all listed on the TV screens as if you're in a railway station waiting for the 17.38, 12.5% express Imperial stout service to inebriation.

Ordered some food, after waiting for 55 minutes we asked how much longer to be told shouldn't be long, no check on what the delay was, not apology either. Waited another 15 minutes and had to go and ask again. It arrived a couple of minutes later! So waited 1 hour and about 12 minutes for 7 portions of poutine chips and 1 portion of mac cheese. There was no one else waiting for food so wasnt exactly over stretched in the kitchen!

In defence of the staff the bloke then took ages offering me loads of samples to find the right beer for me which was very good, tasty & worth the wait. We didn't see anyone ordering the food. Went on a Tuesday evening to find the place full of people playing board games. Despite the fact that there was no queue at the bar it took an age to be served. We ordered the meat and cheese platter for 2. When it eventually arrived, 3 items mentioned on the menu were missing and the portions that we did get were not what I would expect on a share platter. When I mentioned this to a staff member he was disinterested but brought the bread we were missing then told us we had been given extra of the other items to make up for the missing ones? His attitude made me decide not to push the matter but instead just email the manager. The next day I got a half hearted reply that didn't address my complaints instead saying they were sorry I felt that way. In a city with a good few craft beer pubs serving beers of equal or better quality, I don't think I'll be back.

Lots of restaurants in Aberdeen have a very broad mix of reviews from Excellent to Terrible. We'd gone through the listings in some detail looking for somewhere reliable to eat. After an excellent pizza at Nick Nairn's on our first evening (I'll be writing another review for this), there was no obvious place to go on our second evening, except perhaps back to Nick's for another pizza. Having had a great fish and chip experience in Fraserburgh at lunchtime, we weren't particularly hungry, so decided to try the beer place round the corner from the hotel. Six Degrees North brew a lot of different beers, many in typical Belgian style, and we sampled three each which induced a state of great contentment and not a little merriment. The beer is outstanding, the best I've had outside of Belgium.

I think the best way to describe this would be that it's the bar for those who like craft beer but think they're a bit more refined and cultured than those renegades at brewdog....I'm a card carrying member of the craft beer revolution so this place really should be perfect. I've been here many times, I have friends who insist on this being the first place on a night out and the place we spend longest but I just don't get it. I'm old enough to complain about loud bars and long for somewhere to hear a conversation but this is almost too far in the other direction, it's deathly silent, no atmosphere and even with all the various beer bottles on the walls, it feels almost sterile. Of course, it's a bar, we're here for the beer, right? Yes, but even then there's a drawback, almost too much choice. Again, I'm not a fan of just a couple of taps with the same old generic beer but here, it's another extreme, full multi-page newspaper sized beer menus which make it almost impossible to actually come to some sort of choice. In the end, I get tired of looking and just go for old faithful, the wheat wanderlust, which kind of defeats the purpose. I'm aware I'm at odds with my own friends and the majority of people on here but I just don't get the fuss.

Visited Six degrees north to try their local beer which fulfilled my expectations. I really enjoyed that they started their own brewpub even if they are a small brewery,

Atmosphere was non existent.I know its a beer bar, but we tried the Mussels from the food menu, Stay well clear of these, they were the worst i have ever tasted, could not eat them.cold and lying in what looked and tasted like dish water.

A great place to spend a few hours sampling some of the vast array of beers. We went early on a Saturday evening, having never been before we were amazed at the huge selection of beers. We were offered tasters of a few before deciding on the ones we wanted. We didnt have anything to eat but the food that we saw others enjoying looked really nice. I would recommend six degrees north to friends without hesitation and we had such a good experience there that we returned on Sunday just as it opened and had a coffee with our daughter .

A fantastic range of continental ( Belgian ) style beers served in a modern bar with atrium roof . What a find on a quiet dull afternoon . Very helpful and knowledgeable young staff members made us very welcome . We could see that table reservation signs for the evening could make this place a hive of beer activity later in the day . A challenge to your taste buds awaits but watch the strengths of some of them on the notice board . Cheers

Great Belgian beer selection, good service. There's nothing else to say here... if the place isn't crowded, consider yourself lucky.

En fin liten pub som har massvis med olika öl, de flesta från Belgien men som även har sin egen öl och bryggeri. Väl värt ett besök om man är en öl älskare.

My adult son introduced me to this great place. How the tables are turned when it's your children who educate you about quality beers!I highly recommend stopping for a superb exploration of some incredible beers for all tastes. The bar staff's knowledge is second to none. The young chap asked me about my preferences and hit upon a brilliant choice for me. The decor, ambience, staff & beers are second to none. Not to be overlooked, the great lunch food to go with one's beer is fresh, imaginative, locally sourced and delicious. Make a bee line for this place if you are within a 100 miles of Aberdeen. You will not be disappointed.

This is a really nice bar which is more funky than traditional. As a result it is a little quieter than others in the immediate area which means it's usually possible to get a table. The place sells a massive list of Belgian and speciality beers - though the wine is fine too. Staff were happy to let my mate try a small glass or two of the beers on tap to find his preferred tipple. They were accommodating and knowledgeable.

MORE AT TripAdvisor

I have visited here on several occasions including very recently and some things haven't changed since it opened. The beer on offer is interesting, a commendably varied selection with a clear nod to Belgian beer but with a recognition that there are other styles outwith the already varied range within the Belgian boundaries. Their own beers are decent but not exactly ever-changing albeit they are reasonably priced. The rest of the beer is more expensive but not over the top and from a beer perspective this cannot really go wrong. The interior of the bar is set over two floors, a large cavernous space with gallery overlooking the main downstairs bar and seating area. They do not make the best of the space. Right from when this place opened my first and lingering impression is that it was dull. I accept the attraction is the beer and that is difficult to criticise. They never set out to create a flash bar with image over everything but the grey decor and park benches give the large space a cold and unwelcoming appearance. A splash of colour and some comfortable seating would make this much more appealing as a venue you would want to go to irrespective of the beer. As it stands however you go for the beer and put up with the surroundings. As for service this is a frustratingly mixed bag. I think it has gone downhill and I am sorry to say that but in the early days there was never a problem getting served but that has changed. One problem is that staff can spend too long debating the merits of beer styles with newbies and this leaves customers waiting and without an acknowledgement and that is problematic. Customers don't like that. Staff also have a habit of nipping through the back meaning the bar can have a glut of staff one moment and none the next. There used to be a slightly hippyish young man with a great shock of hair dashing about, spinning his serving tray, relaxed but quick. This was the high watermark of bar service not just here but anywhere. He has been gone for some time replaced by a far less enthusiastic brigade with a few exceptions amongst the more experienced staff. 6 degrees is to be commended and thanks to them for what they have created but the game needs lifted in some essential respects.

Great bar around the corner from Brewdog. The place has a more relaxed atmosphere and has an amazing choice of beers. The beer prices are a little steep but if you like your specialty beers then this is the right place for you. It's dog-friendly too if that's important for you

Love the atmosphere at 6ºN, more european bar than british pub. On the menu side, it would be difficult not to find something that speaks to you! And if you are not sure, the staff is always very helpful in trying to find something for you to experiment with... And the Share plates are good too! Now, it can get very full at peak times on weekends, so choose your time if you want a more quiet vibe! Will be coming back again, and again!

Popped in here with a chum more in the spirit of research rather than adventure. The craft beer movement is now well established in the uk and this bar is a fine exponent. The modern industrial decor helps remove this from the the basic pub and is, instead, laid out in a more European drinking bar layout. A large board high up on the wall above the bar has three columns of draft beers. First column is headed by the bars own brews. These continental style beers are strong and good flavoured. The other two dozen beers don't disappoint. Open till midnight during the week and 3am on the weekends if be sure to out this in your 'to-do' list.

Shared a delicious pot of mussels with hubby in a very cool Belgian beer bar. Really attentive staff. Great surroundings excellent selection of beers and some good vodkas. Don't really need to go to other places once you park yourself here. Will return on our next visit to Aberdeen. Well done to a great team who tried hard to make our visit comfortable it worked and we commented we would love to have a bar just like it.

Food was amazing me and my wife shared two starters, halloumi and hummus starters, I had mixed chicken and lamb kebab, included two large pieces of each meat, onions and peppers, my wife had Ispannakli Tavuk, chicken pieces in a creamy white wine and mushroom sauce on sautéed spinach both came with a very tasty salad and rice. Our meat was cooked to perfection and we couldn't fault anything. Very generous portions. All round good value for money £79 with bottle of wine. One small negative, gents bathroom in need of update but ladies was lovely and spotless. Would definitely recommend.
