Sirhowy Chippy in Blaenau Gwent

Today I went on my own for a meal, ordering an appetiser, lamb passanda, coconut rice and garlic and cheese nan bread. It was beautiful. As you see the plate was empty afterwards. The food- full of flavour and hot in temperature. The food tasted fresh and had good texture and meat was tender. The staff- Staff were very polite and friendly, I was served by a gentleman and a lady who always had a pleasant smile. The restaurant was not too busy but it had a nice relaxing atmosphere with gentle music playing. It has disabled access although entrance doors could be difficult to navigate through without help. There are toilets on the lower level. The restaurant is over two level with suitable lighting so you can relax and enjoy your food and not be blinded by bright lights. It was a good evening and I enjoyed it. The other customers also seemed to be relaxed and able to chat without difficulty and were enjoying their food. I look forward to coming here again soon.

Only stayed for one night, used this as a place to sleep before heading for a hike in the Brecon Beacons. Claire was incredibly helpful beforehand, and accommodating my late check-in time. Staff helpful, room clean, shower worked great, very happy. Would stay again. Thank you, Claire and team.

Never been here before but my boyfriend has and he recommended the place when we came it it was lovely atmosphere and loads of people there which was lovely to see the staff were quick to take our order. And it did t take long for our order to come out. The food was lush everything was piping hot and the meat just fell apart well worth the money and I hope to return soon

Very tired public house, attended a wake for an old friend, personally wouldn't use it again, my honest opinion.

Never had a bad experience but tonight was something else. Food was soggy and wet after waiting over two hours passed the selected time . Time kept changing on uber so I called them she said it was busy and they only started making it at 8pm didn't arrive until 8.40 then. Won't order again
