Sip is a gorgeous wine bar with an intimate feel, they are very friendly with a great selection of wine. We ordered a platter. Which was good, pardon peppers and courgette fries let it down though. Will return to this little gem. Big shout out to the owners always friendly and very welcoming.

I couldn’t recommend sip more! The staff were very friendly and accommodating, they kindly recommended red wines after I advised that I’d like to improve my knowledge of red wines - the staff provided samples based on their recommendations. The wine selection is exquisite and each wine is very well described in the menus provided. We also had a cheese board which was lovely! I will definitely be returning to sip.

Had a lovely 3 course meal with wine pairing here, my girlfriend and I both thought it was delicious!

I say generally as there was one occasion a young male came across rude in his delivery and given me frequently attending here I was taken aback by his mannerism. However, good small plates being offered with complimenting wine and a card machine system for a selection of wine which is always fun. Owner is delightful and welcoming.

We booked a table for 8 for my husbands birthday family get together, the bar/restaurant is only small but the put tables together so we could all sit together. Very accommodating! We had a wide selection of small dishes between us which were all amazing. The staff are so attentive, we were served by Frances the owners sister who couldn’t do enough for us. Wine was amazing, they have a wide selection from across the continents! They gave us two complimentary bottles of champagne to celebrate my Husbands 50th, nice touch, we will be back again as soon as we can.

We came in for a meal and drinks - really cool venue with great music and lovely staff! They had an amazing selection of wine, the only thing I would say is that the food was bang average and a bit on the pricey side. The whitebait and calamari was ok but the steak was not good at all & a lot of the other dishes were not much better than average home cooking unfortunately (especially the steak, think it was from the coop over the road) will definitely be back for drinks though!

Pleasant setting with a large stock of wines to sample. We were able to try several wines at a range of prices. Very flexible approach. If you prefer a coffee, that’s also available. Highly recommend

I have been to Sip on a number of occasions with friends to eat and drink. We popped in last Monday and as per usual the service was impeccable, the staff are always friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable regarding helping us make a wine selection. The music and ambience in the place are spot on. Will be back in again soon!

Love this concept!!! Went to one in the city a couple of years ago but this place is the best!! Great atmosphere (small and cosy but in a good way!), variety of music and owners are lovely. A great way to try wine that perhaps you wouldn’t usually choose. It does work out expensive compared to buying a “regular” bottle elsewhere but I love it! Would definitely return.

A great venue on Burton Road, you can serve yourself wine and great coffee. The food is also fab and the atmosphere perfect. One of my favourite places- can sit outside on the pavement and will be very cosy in the winter too.
