Just had some super fish and chips here. The batter on the fish was lovely and crispy and the portions very generous.

My friend and I have had the vegan vege burger several times which is always lovely. The manager then offered us 2x options of a vegan pukka pie (chicken & mushroom or Minced steak n onion) and they were both sooo delicious! He is currently expanding the vegan options, soon to be offering vegan versions of burgers, pies, and sausages! Vegan food lovers - Keep your eyes peeled! Added extra - The manager is also always very friendly and pleasant. I highly recommend.

Enjoyed lovely gluten free fish and chips. The portion size was large and the staff were really friendly. I would highly recommend Simply Fish and Chips, especially if you are looking for somewhere that caters for gluten free or vegan dietary requirements.

Me and my friend have been here a couple of times and have been super happy with the vegan options. We’ve had vegan veg burger before and the latest time we went they had just started selling vegan pukka pies! So good! When we were chatting to the manager he mentioned bringing in even more vegan options soon 🙌 😋👍🌱

The gluten free haddock was amazing! The batter was crispy and the haddock was huge! I would highly recommend Simply for those looking for gluten free foods. Will definitely be returning!

Great service, polite staff! Simply is our favourite local chippy, the food is always tasty and the batter is always fresh and crispy! The haddock is amazing as always!!

Cod and chips. Delicious and freshly cooked. Cannot fault. Highly recommend and will def come back too. Steak & kidney pie was also very nice and much enjoyed by husband

Just visited Simply Fish and Chips after the Fish In at Chalford has closed and we were very impressed with our sausage and chips. Excellent taste and well cooked, which kept hot until we got home. Will definitely revisit and recommend.

Waited over 40 mins for 6 portions of chips, that was after being rudely told 'It's cash only, you're holding a card'! No face coverings, no social distance, big crowd started waiting outside after we ordered. Miserable staff!! This is the first time i have been here in years, it used to be brilliant, frankly i will not be going again.

We use Simply Fish & Chips as a treat & have never been disappointed, only recommendation would be to introduce contact les payments instead of cash only.

Really disappointed! I've been using this chippy for years on and off.. The cod used to be massive. I went in this evening (28/01/20) and asked if they had any large cod. The man behind the counter replied "this is our large fish" as he pointed at what looked like mini fish. Quickly he made a defensive comment "they've always been that size, they haven't changed". Clearly the look on my face said it all. I thought I the apparent "large" fish were actually mini-fish. Safe to say I went elsewhere. Not nice someone trying to rip you off.

I couldn't say anything more positive about this place. I went there because fish in chalford is not open on Monday and now I'm a regular. One of the best fish and chip shops in the Stroud area. great food quick service and the staff are very friendly.

We use this chip shop most Fridays and it’s always fresh and simply lovely. We always have 1 chicken, 3-4 cod & chips, curry sauce and drinks. We normally phone the order through and we always get great friendly service. One week I was very late due to the snow and they waited until I arrived to serve us fresh food. Good value, friendly chippy. Simply one of the best

Had eight people round for national fish and chips day. Great fish and chips! Freshly cooked. What else can I say - other than it was lovely and fresh!

Yo estaba en la zona visitando de Bournemouth (en un lunes 7418) y un amigo de mi esposa recomendado Carol (que ella era que visitan cerca) 'únicamente pescado y patatas fritas' en Brimscombe cercano. Llegué en 1130 horas y mi (enorme y algo pesada) filetes de abadejo estaba preparado a pedido (como la mía bien hecho) con patatas y guisantes blandos y embalado en una caja de cartón fuerte. Las patatas fritas eran perfectas y crujientes ... y el abadejo era grueso y con mucha carne en excelente pasta. Era tan bueno que me comí la comida inmediatamente en mi coche aparcado muy cerca de la tienda y luego volví a gracias al propietario para la comida. Sugerencia - a menos que tengas una gran apetito pide 'estándar' patatas fritas ... incluso si me hubiera encontrado el 'extra' porción demasiado grande. Bien hecho únicamente pescado y patatas fritas ... volveré! Rob Mannion.
