Simply Fish Boxpark in Hackney

Recientemente ha sido con amigos a la GRAN "Construir un ladrillo Lego' Exposiciones (vale la pena una visita), cuando nos preguntamos Road, el Brick Lane / Shoreditch nueva supuestamente moda zona, y vimos un restaurante que llevó nuestro lujoso, especialmente como un par de nosotros sólo comer pescado, "Sencillamente pescado'. En el cruce de Bethnal Green Road y de la concurrida Shoreditch High Street, justo al principio de la casilla Park ( Un pop-up Mall), la entrada es por pasos concretos empinados, atractivo elegante creo que no, pero obviamente creo que moderno. Hay un ascensor que entiendo. Afortunadamente, tenían espacio, así que nos fuimos.

Fuimos a este restaurante para la cena para celebrar el cumpleaños de mi hermana el miércoles 10 th 2014 diciembre y fue una experiencia fantástica! Desde el momento en el que entré, el gerente de servicio Batou presentó a mí y me hizo sentir realmente bienvenidos mientras esperaba por el resto de mi grupo. La comida fue absolutamente deliciosa y llegamos en poco tiempo. La música era insuperable - hacia el final de la noche, incluso había un poco de baile Batou! El ambiente es genial y todo el personal era amable. Sin duda volveremos pronto! Gracias de nuevo Batou & Co!

Nos reservaron otro restaurante para mi cumpleaños de mis hermanas pero después de un chiste con la reserva nos encontramos aquí y fue lo mejor que podría haber pasado.

Nos recibieron 2 excelentes empleados que eran muy amables. Excelente marisco y langostinos tempura. Buena comida, buen ambiente y buen servicio. Por desgracia hice la reserva por Internet y estaba garantizado un 50% de oferta. Después de la comida que les dije que había la oferta y me dijeron que no es aplicable el domingo. Me mostró la camarera agradable el correo electrónico que les mostré mi día de reserva domingo seguido de la oferta. Comprendió y trató de hacer lo mejor posible. El director era que estaba bien, pero dijo que no podía hacer nada. Él fue muy amable y nos ofreció desierto gratuito ahora o aperitivos gratuitos la próxima vez que entramos. Aunque para ser justos fueron muy amables y no lo mejor posible, pero no se sintieron estafados. Me encantó la comida, pero siento decir que has perdido un cliente.

Necesita decidir si es un bar o un restaurante como esta noche no podían hacer tanto. Pescado estaba muy bien cocinada, pero fuera de 6 cosas que pedí el plato del menú nunca apareció, la cerveza, que se había acabado de la antena de lado y el otro, una salsa, nunca fue 'a'.

Recibidos por el par de Sandra fabuloso y Saad ya que entramos en el restaurante, nos hicieron sentir como si fuéramos los clientes más importantes del planeta.explicó Sandra y Saad cuidadosamente las opciones del menú del día. Optamos por los calamares de jengibre y gambas para principiante y frito de róbalo para las principales. La comida era fresca, deliciosa y abundante. El valor añadido era el excepcional servicio ofrecido por el personal. ¡Volveré! La Mesa abierto ofrecen una estupenda relación calidad-precio!

El domingo por la noche alrededor de las 7 pm mi novia y yo decidimos dar una oportunidad a un pequeño restaurante de pescado localizar en Boxpark.

Pedimos el sandwich de dedo de pescado, aunque tuvimos que esperar un poco para nuestra comida, la porción fue muy generoso y nos dejó llenos, y estaba bastante bien también.

8.30 en un sábado víspera y parecía un poco usada después de un día ajetreado. Pocas cosas fuera del menú, y aunque la camarera europea oriental era muy dulce y haciendo posible, tuvimos dificultad en entender ella. solla europea resultó ser rodaballo (que no estaba en el menú) pero bien. eglefino decente con buenas patatas fritas. moussaka vegetarianos pronunciado mal. tuve gambas y almejas curry - 3 largish langostinos y un embrague de almejas en salsa bastante pesado y gloopy que totalmente abrumado las almejas. podría haber sido comer nada, realmente. Una porción bastante miseria de arroz acompañado.

Fuimos con un grupo de colegas y por una vez los cuatro de nosotros estamos de acuerdo en que nos gustaría volver - primera!

Firstly I declare that my background is in the catering Industry which means that I am a little more observant when it comes to Restaurant Kitchens!My son suggested this restaurant to us after visiting before.... The concept is simple you choose your first course (if you wish) followed by a main course.... where you choose your fish, decide on how you would like it cooked, choose a sauce and some vegetable or salad dishes.We arrived at just after 7pm along with a number of other tables at the same time, staffing consisted of an excellent waitress, a restaurant manager, a lady helping in the kitchen, and last but by no means least a young chef..... the reason why I say this is that he seemed a bit "over stretched" at times..... but I will give the restaurant manager his due he helped out in both the kitchen and service.... which was great to see.Service was efficient, and I must say my Mussels followed by pan fried sea bass on a bed of crushed new potatoes served with Hollandaise sauce and a side salad was excellent.My only adverse comment is the "London" habit of adding a 12.5% service charge on to an invoice.... This is annoying when the main course was such excellent value at £12.75 including the sauce and vegetablesWine at £21 a bottle for Pinot is also a little steep... and I can never quite understand in restaurants such as this, why more sensible prices might generate extra sales, by the purchase of an "extra " bottle"But really great meal

This was an impulse visit after an exhibition at Rich Mix. We loved the little space and the very friendly server. The area outside wasn't in use as the weather was dreadful. There was a lot of dishes not available. My wife made three choices before she found a starter. I had fish soup which was supposed to come with rouille but didn't. This was annoying but, unbidden, she discounted the bill by £5 to take account of this. Of the main course dishes, like fish pie, there was very little available. But I had pan fried hake with crushed new potatoes and peas (no cauliflower) and hollandaise and my wife had steamed trout, also with hollandaise. The fish was absolutely gorgeous and perfectly cooked. And the price was reasonable though the service charge was a bit of a surprise.I do understand that at the end of a long day some things, particularly fish, may be in short supply. But the fish didn't seem to be the main problem; it was the cooked dishes and some condiments and sides that seemed to be missing. I think a little more careful preparation, involving better prediction of sales, would avoid customer frustration.

I loved the dishes..I loved the service..the staff..the manager..the venue..the music..the price...I just cant express enough how I loved this place!!This is my third time here within a month..and surely I will tell everyone about this place..and price wise..it is amazing!!I love eating out..and I am too critical about food..at this time..I have absolutely nothing to complain..or to suggest!!Very impressed..And in 2014..this place will be my second home..just the way we feel when we are here..Love..Love..and highly reccomend you to get to know this amazing little restaurant..Congratulations to all of you who can make this place so good..Simply Delicious! Hello everyone, I am writing this review after my third visit to this wonderfully amazing restaurant in two months at Boxpark, because I am now a Simply Fish Desciple! The friendliness and welcome that visitors receive from Batou and his team of Fisherfolk is the best I have experienced in London! The atmosphere is relaxed and warm, lighting and music very cool - think retro style to Buddha Bar. Everyone works in synchronization and harmony to fulfil our fishtastic culinary experience - Freddie our Chef is a Magician in the kitchen. Kitty our waitress is so friendly and attentive to all our needs. Batou's hospitality is like you're being welcomed back like long lost family! Neptune himself would be impressed! Come high seas, come hurricanes, come to feast your eyes and fill your stomachs on London's freshest fabulous fish at Simply Fish Boxpark!

Food and service were both excellent! The restaurant is in a great location close to the station. We had the squid and oysters to start which tasted amazing, followed by pan fried seabass and mussels which were equally as tasty! The service was brilliant considering there was just man hosting and serving the food. Would fully recommend a visit!

Location is excellent, the fish is always cooked up well and the pricing is reasonable enough. But its let down badly by both the service and an identity crisis as others have already noted. The serving staff are lovely people but really should not be near customers as they have no idea about what they are doing. This results in incorrect bills, lengthy delays and massive frustration! They need to decide on if it is a restaurant or a bar? Once they figure that out and play to the strength of one or the other it might be more of a challenge to go elsewhere.

Went here on Friday night with some friends. I had booked using top table however when we arrived the waitress looked blank and then rudely said we hadn't booked for there. When I threatened to produce email proof I was ushered inside and told to find a table. They appeared very understaffed and the one fairly young and unprofessional waitress seemed badly informed on the food- couldn't answer our questions about the dishes took ages to clear our plates and seemed bored of her job- at one point mid- conversation with me she started serving someone else! However the food and environment is great, great tasting fish, i had the sea bass and potato gratin and its a laid back unpretentious style of dining in a lovely atmosphere- the only negative when it comes to food is the portion was a bit small perhaps!I asked for a cocktail and was told they couldn't make any because the only member of staff couldn't make them and they havdnt got the best selection of drinks really. The final straw however came a bit later on the sams waitress from beford rudely came over and told our party to keep the noise down! We were five ladies enjoying ourselves nothing more- never have I been told to keep the noise down in a resteraunt before! I found it very rude and unprofessional!This really annoyed me and sealed the deal- I doubt I will be coming back even though the food was great!If I ever want to go back I would probably try the Camden one- worth it is the fish was lovely!

I've been going here a few times over the past few months that this place openedIt used to be very good....now....not so muchIt used to be a nice little fish restaurant with a good chef that simply closed when they ran out of fishThe service was always a bit hit and miss with things regularly not being entered on the system or turning up wrongThe restaurant is now more focused on running a bar for all the seating outside in Boxpark and the new chef they have isn't as good as the old oneMy companion sent her main course back and I was dissatisfied with mineI'm sure they'll make good money running the place as a bar given where it is but I won't be back in a hurry

This place is in a great location and I agree with the other reviewers that the food is good and for a good price.It is a great shame that they charge 12.5% service- with no mention of it being optional! I would expect excellent service for this however it took us 10 minutes to get served, 10 minutes to get glasses for our white wine which became warm in that time and took numerous attempts to get some water which arrived at the end of our meal. Finally, the waitress stood at our table whilst we paid the bill which was somewhat awkward.For obvious reasons we were not happy to pay the full 12.5% so offered a generous 10% which she was not happy about!We expected an apology but instead she sent over the manager who tried his best to rectify the situation by offering us a complimentary dessert which we really appreciated.I would revisit Simply Fish but only if we were served by the manager or someone offering equally good service. Alternatively they should make the service optional and preferably 10%!

Been there a few times now, with friends and family also. I like to eat healthy and chose this place because the fish is caught and delivered daily from Cornwall. The idea that you can choose your dish is a lovely concept, with extra fixed menu choices which are also great, love the chilli salt squid.The sizes of the dishes are generous and nicely presented, you'd probably pay much more for food like this somewhere else.The furnishing is very fresh and open kitchen is always a plus for me, I also like to see young chefs in the kitchen. Staff was friendly and chatty. Great value for money!

this restaurant is rather new, but the concept is simple. choose your fish, choose how you want it cooked, choose from a good selection of sides ( the oriental bok choi was great) and voila! simple concept, fresh cornish fish and a clean compact restuarant. really love complimentary the warm roasted peanut and fried white bait that is brought to the table, lovely touch. Only one minor quibble- the restaurant isnt really accessible if you are alone with a child and a stroller as its located on the first floor of a pop-up complex.

My wife and myself love fish and are always on the look out for good fish restaurants. We have always found that fish restaurants in London tend to be either over pricey, stiff with no character and the customary fishing nets, boat oars and ship wheel as décor or staff that simply do not know what they are selling. But this is not the case with Simply Fish - the décor is contemporary, the staff are so warm, very knowledgeable and the whole concept is airy and very user friendly. The food is absolutely divine and just the possibility of designing your own meal offers the possibility of so many permutations depending on your mood. Brilliant - please open a branch in Aylesbury -

Wanting a late lunch on a sunny Sunday, my wife and I headed to Box Park and into Simply Fish. Having a sit down in the shade was the highlight of the whole experience… but we could have done that on a park bench. When the waitress finally took our order – after chatting to the other staff members – we opted for the prawns as a starter. “No prawns” we were told. OK. “I'll have the fish finger sandwich” I said. “We've run out of fish” said the waitress. Surely, if you're called ‘Simply Fish’...

We were looked after very well. Tried the Gurnard ( on recommendation), white bait, calamari, chocolate mousse and green tea tiramisu. We will be back!
