Simit Sarayi in City of London, Westminster

Very busy location so we arrived at the "wrong time" and had to queue up for 10 minutes to be served. Once served, the food was fresh and well prepared, but on the expensive side. but this is central London and prices are always more expensive in the centre

Visited a couple of times while in London. Both times, no simit... took a take away tea and pastry.. pastry reheqted and the lid of the tea does not fit so i spilt half my tea and did not enjoy the pastry as it was already dry again by the time i ate it.. hate to see and compare to the operation in turkey.. feels like the staff have lost love, really needs an uplift

Esta mañana tuve un par de minutos para visitar. Fue una gran decepción, no un gran servicio y comida cara e insípida. Tenía la intención de probar este lugar por un tiempo ya que soy fanático de los pasteles y la comida turca. El miembro del personal que me atendió en el mostrador no comprendió muy bien los detalles de mi pedido (una espiral de queso y un doble macchiato para comer, no demasiado complicado). Dudó un momento y luego señaló algo más que tenía queso (rectangular y cubierto de semillas de sésamo) y preguntó si ese era el artículo al que me refería. No fue así, pero decidí ir por eso. También parecía tener problemas con el aspecto de "comer" de la orden (primero me dieron una bolsa, no una bandeja / plato) y también tardó un rato en preparar el café, que pasó unos diez segundos colocando en el platillo, solo para que se desequilibre y finalmente se derrame un poco cuando levante la bandeja. El pastel de queso rectangular que recibí era bastante pobre. Masa blanca resistente servida tibia en el exterior, con queso frío, duro y sin sabor en la parte superior y en todas partes. Si este pastel costara 99 p en una estación de servicio, no me molestaría tanto, pero con el café llegó a 6. 75 (!) Eso es más que cualquier cafetería / pastelería premium, y probablemente a la par con los precios de Harrods, por lo que esperaba mucho más de la comida y el servicio. La única gracia salvadora fue el café, que sabía bien.

Nice freshly prepared baguettes in front of us. With some nice delicatessen to go with it. Would recommend it definitely.

Spraying the tables as people try to consume their drink and cake....very poor. This at 6pm of a sat evening with insufficient staff behind counter to serve customers. Not sure if this is a franchise but this Oxford St branch poor exponents of it and doing little for its reputation. Cares little for customers. I've to leave before I choke on the spray 😨😱

Good variety of food (sandwiches, stuffed Turkish burek made of filo pastry,etc.). Overall, good quality of food, but the sitting capacitg is very lumited.

This is a Turkish restaurant that serves breads, pastries and sandwiches plus coffee. You can sit down (limited seating) or take out. Although I did enjoy my pastry, I will not go back here. The staff is beyond rude - they are totally unhelpful and act as thought they would rather not have a customer bother them. It took a long time to get served and finally when it was my turn I asked a question about the pastries. The server reacted in an offhand manner with a negative attitude.

I found the staff in here to be pretty rude. In addition they do not have toilet facilities, when it was my understanding under UK law they should provide them. The food was "ok", not amazing, but not awful either. There are much better places to goto than this restaurant.

Quick stop by for dessert and coffee after a meal while shopping at Central London. Nice little coffee shops where you are able to grab a snack and some pastry in addition to some Americano or Latte or Cappuccino if you wish. They have limited quantities but they are all reasonably good and not too sweet.

Well that was an experience not to be repeated!! The Oxford St cafe is due to be open till midnight according to their website. We entered 1125pm with 35 mins to go. We purchased cakes and drinks, the former provided in bags. Went to sit down inside as others were seated outside when we were advised it was only take away after 11pm. However this was not explained in advance and as the place was empty inside we asked to sit down. Female member of staff kindly agreed. Unfortunately only 2 minutes sat down when the rudest and aggressive person I've ever had the misfortune to meet in a food establishment shouted at us to stop eating and get out. From what I could ascertain this chap was the manager. If he'd worked for me he'd have been shown the door there and then for the manner with which he spoke to paying customers. Big shame. Rated Simit Sarayi, the Green Lanes branch for example you're treated with respect (like a king in fact) Oxford St branch left a sour taste. Cost us £25 for 3 drinks and s few cakes whereas good manners from the manager here would have cost NOTHING.

Terrible food and drinks the coffee was bitter and cakes stale. The service was awful with them confusing customers and then embarrassing customers. Not visiting again
