Excellent meal and hospitality, very enjoyable evening.

Run by a lovely husband and wife couple. Good menu and we’ve enjoyed every dish that we’ve had over the last several years. Great starter for two, tasty soup and excellent chicken and cashew nut main course.

Very tasty food. Service was quick. Good array of dishes suitable for all. I thought the pad Thai was very good. Portions are just right. Professional.

Consistently good food and friendly owners

This had been recommended to us by our B&B hosts. The couple who run the restaurant are lovely, friendly and welcoming. There is an extensive menu which is reasonably priced, the food and service were both faultless. I would strongly recommend.

Honestly, I could not recommend this restaurant highly enough. The food is some of the tastiest we have ever tasted and we like eating out! The owner is [rightly] proud and very passionate about his food and talked with us at length about which dishes would be right for our meal, based on our personal likes and dislikes. We were not disappointed. It was just a complete taste sensation. Superb service and a lovely friendly atmosphere. Honestly, if you have a chance to eat here, don't miss it! Our visit will not be our last!!!

We visited Saturday night and are celebrating a wonderful dining find. The food was absolutely wonderful, so tasty and perfect portions. The owners are so very passionate about their food and rightly proud. My husband can take food far hotter than I, so we chatted with the owner about the dishes so that we had the perfect ones for each of us. If you love Thai food and a wonderful dining experience, do try this restaurant. Your first visit won't be your last. Ours certainly won't.

We were visiting the area for my partners grandads funeral and we checked into our hotel late and we needed to go and eat. We read the reviews on this restaurant and omg - it didn’t disappoint. We walked past the restaurant and it was empty, we both looked at each other and thought Ohhhh, 🤔 but we went in anyway. The service was 10/10!! I know we was the only people in the restaurant but it was brilliant and the food came out piping hot and fresh. Smelt amazing and tasted amazing. We had the chicken satay with peanut sauce to share as well as sesame prawn toast. My partner had the chicken coconut red curry and I had chicken cashew - absolute chef kiss!! Oh and we shared a egg fried rice too! So yummy and tasty!! The portions was just right for us. We left very happy and had a full tummy. Totally worth the money, and we will 100% be back but under better circumstances. The couple that own this restaurant are amazing people!!! Thank you guys!!!

The best Thai restaurant we been to. Incredible fresh cooked food and homemade ice-cream to die for. Beautiful ambience created by charming flower table dressings and tablecloths, quiet Thai music, friendly and efficient service. Very reasonably priced. My partner and I went for dinner last night, haven't been out for a long time having got fed up with loud restaurants made noisy by the lack of soft furnishings and bad service, so we were so happy to find this wonderful place. I had the hottest dish on the menu (I realised after ordering) and found it exquisite in flavours and not at all too hot but nice and spicy. We didn't leave anything! We will be back soon. Highly recommended.

Have visited this Thai restaurant before and had fantastic food, however last night’s meal left a lot to be desired. The presentation was as good as it normally is but what happened to the lovely Thai flavours? Could not taste the fresh pineapple or prawns and cashew nuts as everything covered in this extremely hot sauce, my son said it was more like a hot curry. I have to say our starters of chicken satay was delicious and could not fault the warm welcome and presentation of the restaurant .We were not the only people saying the food was overly spiced, two other tables also complained and were asking for coconut milk to reduce the heat in their dishes.

A cosy and welcoming place with friendly smiling hosts. The food was truly delicious,bursting with flavours. Quickly prepared and piping hot the whole experience was a delight. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely authentic meal here this evening. Run by a lovely couple. Service was lovely and attentive without being too claustrophobic. The food was amazing. We had the Thai fish cakes and dumplings to start. Both were tasty sensations. Then, for main - mixed seafood and jungle curry, both spicy but not ridiculous, with Pad Thai and jasmine rice. Desert was banana fritas with homemade coconut ice cream with a Sauntern and Muscat. I would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Visited this lovely restaurant with a friend who has specific requirements (no dairy and vegetarian). The owner was careful to advise the best options for her, and with an excellent menu to choose from everyone was catered for. Service was impeccable and the freshly cooked food arrived piping hot. A very relaxed ambience was enjoyed over dinner. This restaurant is a little gem, and one that I would highly recommend. We will certainly be returning very soon.

No typical Thai seafood salad. A lot of the dishes are the same. Green curry was spicy but not very appealing. Mixed seafood dish was excellent. Service was superb. Quite pricey in my opinion, for what is essentially, basic dishes of food.

Came here mid week. Service was professional and polite. Definitely no complaints there. We each had two courses. In comparison to other Thai restaurant that I have been to the dishes felt a little underwhelming and unloved. For example, there were a couple of dishes that could have done with more coconut milk. Nothing was bad, but nothing was special. The wine that we selected was also quite expensive for what it was.

Mid week quiet at this time of year on our last visit. Similan is mobbed at the weekend. This small restaurant really punches above it's weight. Very authentic, delicious food cooked by a Thai chef and served by his Thai wife. A great team, great service. I like the clean, white interior. Good value as well!

Had a wonderful genuine Thai meal from this very nice little restaurant on the High Street. I was accompanied by my Thai friend who was very complimentary about the food and service. The owners are wonderful and their business has been established here for many years. I’d definitely recommend you give it a try and if you do, don’t forget to try the home made ice cream made by the owner. It’s the best I’ve tasted!

I’ve had a fair few Thai meals out but this ranks very highly indeed. First up it is a nice small restaurant… which was fully booked on a wet Wednesday night , a great sign! The service was very attentive, the prices very fair indeed , especially in comparison to others locally! But most importantly the food was superb and had enough of the standard items you’d normally find on a Thai menu along with some different dishes. Will definitely be returning!

Had a wonderful meal here on Valentine’s Day. Had to book in advance as they were busy but we were lucky and managed to get the last table. Food was fantastic, authentic and generous portions, and the service was excellent, happy to discuss each dish and make recommendations etc.

Moved near here last year. Was recommended by a friend. Truly superb king prawns. Much bigger than I’ve had before and serviced in a lovely tamarind sauce. Nice wines as well. Very friendly owners. Very intimate inside and we talked to the neighbouring table. Overall a lovely evening.

Little gem of a restaurant in highcliffe, owners friendly and helpful with menu, food was good, chicken jungle curry and stir fry prawn with mushrooms plus vegetable side dishes all good washed down with Thai beer and wine.

Great authentic Thai restaurant

We were on a short break in Highcliffe, and looking for somewhere to enjoy an evening meal. Having always said we'd like to try Thai, we decided to visit. It was a great decision. The host/owners were lovely and friendly, and when they realised it was our first Thai meal, they took time to explain the dishes and advise on combinations. The share starter for two was very tasty and an excellent way to try various starters. The curries we had for mains were delicious and very tasty. Highly recommended.

Absolutely lovely food, especially considering it was my first Thai food experience. Green Curry with beef sirloin and Thai vegetables, Chicken Stir-fry along with Jasmine rice. I definitely recommend this restaurant; lovely service and very welcoming.

Our first meal here was so good that we paid a second visit during our short break in the area. We had various prawn dishes: the prawns were plump and succulent. The jungle curry was bursting with flavour. The ingredients in this dish took me right back to home-cooked food in Northern Thailand. The couple running this restaurant are friendly and welcoming. Came here for dinner with my girlfriend, really disappointed. Had the sharing plater for starters it was @£20 and not very good, tiny rubbery fish cakes, over cooked satay and the other bits were very generic. Drinks were expensive at @ £3 for and £7.50 for a large bottle of I think Singha. My red curry arrived and was strangely generous with chicken. Apart from half a chopped chilli there was not one vegetable in the entire dish. My girlfriend curry just overwhelmingly tasted of aniseed( not sure if that’s the basil or star anise) and the flavours were lost. Just an underwhelming experience and not particularly cheap
