I recently dined at Simasgrill and had an amazing experience! I ordered the Kebab Momtaz, which includes a skewer of chargrilled marinated boneless chicken and a skewer of chargrilled minced lamb. Both were cooked to perfection juicy, flavorful, and full of authentic taste… I’ll definitely be back!

The barg kebab had really bad smell, fesenjoon was absolutely random. I had meal here when they started and it was really good but now they are going down the hill.

Absolutely phenomenal shishlik kebab! The lamb was perfectly tender, bursting with smoky, tangy flavors from the marinade. Each bite was a delight. i had an incredible dining experience at Sima Grill, i ordered the ribeye steak, paneer sabzi, and king prawns and every dish was absolutely perfect. The ribeye was perfectly cooked, juicy and full of flavor. the king prawns were some of the best I’ve ever had – fresh, succulent, and beautifully presented. The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations.

The atmosphere is warm, energetic, and welcoming, and the staff are super kind and professional. But the real magic comes from Chef Sima ❤️herself — a truly lovely woman and one of the best chefs I’ve ever met. She cares deeply about quality and makes sure every dish is perfect. Her passion and warmth shine through everything in this place. Five stars aren’t enough — I’d give ten if I could!

Good Food, menu could be bigger and with more healthy traditional food and variety. Too many restaurants in Finchley Central offer similar, limited and unchanging menus, hence so many locals don’t really go out locally. Also, it would be better, and I would be happy to pay the price increase if they cooked with olive oil instead of unnamed vegetable oil. Olive oil always tastes better. Lovely space and people - so friendly. Unfortunately, they have a paraffin flame going inside by the front door which looks nice and warms the room but makes it smell of paraffin - not good for someone with a good nose and sensitive lungs- especially asthma. Therefore, I will wait until the summer to go back.

After reading all the positive reviews, what a letdown this place was! Persian cuisine has always been one of my favourites, and I've never had a bad Persian meal... until today. The litmus test of an Iranian restaurant is their koobideh and I'm afraid this was the worst I've ever eaten - the flavour was completely off and the meat sat heavy on the stomach. The service was also inattentive. To add insult to injury they overcharged us but when we pointed this out they hastily amended the bill. I will not be returning.

An absolutely fantastic dining experience! The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and professional. The food was beyond amazing, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Every detail, from the ambiance to the presentation, was flawless. I can’t recommend this place highly enough—truly a gem!

The food is incredible and the service is exceptional - the staff couldn’t be nicer or more hospitable.

Cons: Joojeh kebabs are totally undercooked and dangerous. Same goes with kebab barg and Chengeh. Even when ask to Cook them more still pink inside. Kebab Barg was rough and chewy. Exactly what shouldn’t be. I like the very soft music which is not loud and make you relax when eating. The food is delicious And hot, even undercooked! At least 20% more expensive than most Persian restaurants in London, which is annoying and not worth it. Drinks are very expensive and they charge you 10% of service charge Whether you like to pay or not. That’s cheeky and people should have the choice If you’re not happy with the service Or food you should not pay service charge. But you do not have a choice in hear. The restaurant is cold when door gets opened and is uncomfortable. Twice I have been there and the staff were ill and they admitted it themselves but still had come to work, touched the cutlery and bring their food and get within 20 cm from customers !! That is unprofessional and unfair to customers. They should stay at home if Unwell. It is A small restaurant And highly likely to pass it on to other people. Parking is difficult. Pos: Staff are professional and provide good service. The food is in large portions and well presented. Food are tasty but there are problems as mentioned. .

Had the most amazing time at Simas Grill. The service, food and atmosphere was brilliant. I had the Jojeh kebab and it was very tender and well marinated. My friend had Barg, it was really well cooked and tasty. We had one Ghormeh Sabzi to share. The staff are so friendly and went out if their way to look after us. Definitely going back and will recommend to anyone as very good value for money ! ;-)

I reserved a table here for Valentine’s Day and was very disappointed by how poor the coordination was with the service and the food! Especially when this place has been rated 4.8 stars out of 5. I can’t comprehend how. Firstly, we weren’t acknowledged by the door upon arrival, only when we stared to look around uncomfortably. The restaurant is tiny and the spaces between each table was insanely small and crowded (not sure how this is acceptable with health and safety rules). There was an issue with the booking name, whereby I had to show my phone history to evidence that I had called restaurant and booked the table! The guy I spoke with simply misspelled my name and took it down incorrectly which already wasn’t a great start! We were offered a table for two, right underneath the bar (yes underneath the bar) where the staff put plates, take away boxes and collect drinks. All of this was level with our heads and as you can imagine it was very disturbing each time a waiter took a plate, a drink or a take away box! We initially asked for a better seat and were declined. Even though a couple next to us which was seated at a six seater table, was reseated to a two sets of two seater tables next to each other and we were told “this table is booked for 4”. Later down the evening, we quickly learned that it wasn’t! At this point both me and my partner had thoughts to leave altogether… We ordered calamari and hummus for starters and didn’t have any issues with it as such. Only pointer for calamari that there were 5 pieces for £9.99…a little over priced for the portion in my opinion. Please see picture for reference. For the main, I ordered sea bass with mash and my partner went for Kebab Makhsoos. Apart from the fact that seabass was full of bones (didn’t expect from such restaurant) and barely salted. My partner had the worse end of it, his kebab was pink! From my understanding the meat should be well done? And no salt too. The mince lamb kebab tasted more of onions than the meat and again no salt. All in all, we rushed out quickly and were extremely disappointed with the whole experience. Will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone! Avoid!!!
