Fantastic wedding venue The civil ceremony was conducted indoors in a beautiful cosy room with lots of twinkling lights . The canapés were in the grounds and they were delicious. Wedding reception was in the amazing marquee which was set up beautifully. Delicious food , brilliant DJ and great service from all staff Thank you for memorable day 💕

My husband and I had our wedding here on the 3rd August, we are so over whelmed with how beautiful everything was, Beth and Alison went above and beyond my expectation! The whole team are amazing especially jay! Honestly Thankyou so much highly recommend to anyone that is getting married! Lots of love and Thankyou for making our big day the best day xxx

We got married at Shearsby on the 2nd of October 2021 and OMG, this place is perfect. We cannot put in words just how amazing this place is and how fabulous Drew, Cheryl and Rocky are. Shearsby should win some sort of award for what they do. We've been for Sunday lunch today and again, absolutely amazing. Food is first class and the team were awesome. This place can do no wrong. We've been back again today, 20th April 2024. Had the Saturday night a'la carté menu and what can I say. Just sublime as usual. The chef here should have Michelin stars for sure. I wish we could come more often but there just never seems time. Always a pleasure to come back to Shearsby for more of what we love.

Fabulous!! Beautiful surroundings and lovely atmosphere in the orangery for our Sunday lunch, complemented by a resident piano player !! Can definitely recommend the ham hock to start, roast chicken and beef, and sticky toffee and lemon tart for dessert - very yummy, cooked well and great attention to detail. All served by friendly and attentive staff - overall, what a treat !!

We had our wedding at shearsby bath in Oct 23 and it was the most perfect day. It was the only venue we viewed and knew it was perfect. I can't recommend the team enough from start to finish, they helped guide us through the process, and using the package took a lot of the stress off for us, everyone there is so kind and helpful. The day went really smoothly, the food was fantastic and the guests were kept happy! The setting really is stunning which made for some beautiful photos, especially in the gardens. Thank you especially to Drew and Alison who had a big part in organising our day.

Had a fantastic evening. My only complaint is it was a bit cold sitting next to the marquee walls but everything else was great and would definitely go again.

Went here for a work’s Christmas 🎄 party. The food was lovely, servings staff were good. Unfortunately we were in the corner of the marquee with the wind blowing the side’s all night. We were extremely cold as we were wearing dresses so had to sit with coats on or around our shoulders even though they tried to turn the heating up. One of the staff had dropped a tea towel while serving and I had it across my knees trying to keep warm. Spoke to another lady in the toilet and they had moved tables as it was so cold

What an amazing place. We have been regularly for their Sunday Lunch and it is fantastic. Amazing service, delicious food.

We held our wedding at Shearsby Bath in October 2023. Not only is the venue beautiful but the team at Shearsby helped us bring together our event taking away alot of the stress of planning your big day and I'm pleased to day the day went off without a hitch and so smoothly thanks to the Shearsby team and suppliers. Our guests have been raving about the quality of the food served and the venue. It was a wonderful experience all round for us and all of our guests.

We were married here on Saturday and we couldn't have asked for a better venue. Not only are the building and grounds absolutely beautiful, but the staff went above and beyond, nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend booking your wedding here!

Superb venue, tucked away in the countryside with great options for a small - large event. We attended a large wedding and used most of the available spaces which are lovely and well maintained. The team managing and running the venue were excellent, efficient and friendly. Loved it!

At a wedding staff friendly very smart lovely place

Wow, what a venue!! Amazing family run business. Made our wedding so personal. Vary accomodating. Really couldn't do enough for us and really gave us a wedding that surpassed our ideas. The wedding food was also outsanding every at our wedding kept saying the food really was the best wedding door they had ever had. Every member of staff where so polite and really did Rocky and his family that run shearsby bath proud . I really cannot put into words how much I would recommend them. They really are a lovely bunch.i would also like to say how good the planners at shearsby bath are. We had Beth and she really went out of her way to put us at ease and was also very quick at replying so we had answer to our question so we weren't getting stress out. However due to I'll health she couldn't make our wedding day. But Hugh stepped in, he really is a nice genuine down to earth guy. We really couldn't ask for more especially considering he stepped in very last minute. We really couldn't recommend shearsby bath highly enough. We are also planning on having Sunday lunch there when they start up again. And we would like to send a message to shearsby bath and all the lovely staff.......thank you for making our day so special. We really couldn't ask for more.

We visited to try the Sunday lunch. Positives were beautiful location, lots of car parking, large portion sizes, great ambiance, fresh flowers, excellent staff always smiling couldn't do enough for you, cost is very fair for food, great menu selection, free dipping breads. Negatives for us were uncomfortable chairs, food tasted very salty, wrong meat for main quickly corrected and free drink offered. Had to ask for Yorkshire puddings they forgot again quickly corrected. Not quite 5 stars but not far off. Don't think we would eat there again but they're not a public restaurant anyway....Sunday lunch was for a short time only then back to what they do best which is weddings

We had an amazing Sunday Lunch here. The menu is great with a good selection of starters and more than just the usual Sunday lunch offerings on the mains. The sweets sounded amazing but the portions were just too large to leave room. The staff were great. Not been here in many years but will be back very soon.

Poor Christmas party experience. It was absolutely roasting in there, much too hot (to get you to buy more overpriced drinks maybe?) The food was average, some bits overcooked and some undercooked. There was also an odd smell for parts of the night. The DJ wasn't great, playing the best Xmas songs while we were eating and the entertainment was awful. Whilst sat eating your starter and pudding a brass band and an awful singer played a random mix of football chants, Xmas songs and some that were unrecognizable, way too loudly. Like headache inducing. We came last year and loved it. We won't be back next year.

Xmas party , staff worked very hard & got the meals out quickly but quite possibly the worst night out . They had a 4 price band playing that was so loud you could not talk or hear any conversation but there music was absolutely appalling I felt like wrapping the trumpet round the players neck , he just couldn’t play. Also the dj was shouting the whole time and why when we are eating do we have to be drowned out by extremely loud music . It truly doesn’t have to be that loud . My ears are still ringing this morning . Also be careful it’s £6.50 for a glass of lemonade . Total rip off .

Just visited for Sunday lunch for the first time having read the previous review and wasn't disappointed this really is a first class venue from the moment you arrive the food and very friendly staff are exceptional we only live 10 minutes away already booked for the 18th December

Food very good, cutlery had to be cleaned twice before use and the place was freezing. God help anyone next month

Just returned from Sunday Lunch at Shearsby Bath . It was one of the best I've had in a long time. Huge, tasty portions, great service in a lovely setting with a pianist playing. They have only just started doing Sunday lunches and I will definitely be returning. Highly recommend.

Was here for a reception after family funeral. Everything was well organised. Lots of food and well presented. Plenty of space for guests to move around and chat with friends and family.

We had an Indian reception party for our son and daughter in law on 10/9/22 . Shearsby bath were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Our party coordinator ,Beth, was extremely helpful and made the day perfect. The food was delicious. All the different food requirements were met ie meat eaters, vegetarian, vegan, kids food, nut free and one child was lactose intolerant. The staff were very attentive and always at hand. The DJ was also really good. All in all we highly recommend shearsby bath as a venue that delivers . So say us and all our happy guests .

What an absolutely amazing venue for a wedding. From start to finish of our wedding day it was perfect, not one bad thing to say. Beth was so helpful and made everything so easy for us it felt like she would of made anything we wanted happen. I would definitely recommend her and the venue to anyone getting married. Great function and facilities for a Wedding outdoors and indoors. Friendly and helpful staff. Perhaps a canopy for guests sitting outside the octagonal pergola could be helpful.

My Sister had her wedding on the 13.07.22 and what can I say! Considering the Heat wave we had it was the best day ever! And it was your service and your beautiful venue that made it so special! The support you have given us especially having our other sister die suddenly in June and you still set her place up with the respect and dignity she deserved! My sister and brother Inlaw searched high and low for the perfect venue and not one other venue even came close your venue. Thank you so much for everything!

I can’t even know where to begin. We had our reception here on 13.08.2022 after marrying in a church elsewhere and baring in mind we had hot temperatures but that did not stop the day from exceeding our expectations. We started our journey of venue hunting mid 2021 and visited lots of places but as soon as we saw Shearsby we were totally blown away. The grounds, the set up, the hospitality and patience of the staff there was more than we ever expected. Everything was explained throughout and made very clear. Our needs were listened to without any qualms everything from start to finish was totally catered for us. The grounds are outstanding. The main building is stunning and the marquee has everything you would ever need. We opted for the ‘Ultimate package’ so this meant that absolutely everything is done for you. All I needed to do was buy my dress, bridesmaids dresses and suits. 9 weeks before our day my sister died suddenly who was also supposed to be one of my bridesmaids and the support and change of ideas to include her in our day were more than excellent. Everything was thought about carefully, suggestions were made to us gracefully and the actual day was beyond my wildest dreams. The food on the day was stunning. All was made fresh and served hot. The staff including bar staff and waiting staff were the kindest people and obviously take so much pride in their work. You can see from a mile away the teamwork at Shearsby is exceptional and every staff member is valued. Massive massive shout out to Drew! What a guy he is….had us laughing our heads off from the first meeting right up to the day. I could not of asked for a better organiser for my day. Your fab Drew! Also suppliers we had were the most kindest easygoing people I think I’ve ever met. We had our wedding here at the beginning of August. What can I say? The venue looked fabulous, the service was fantastic, the food tasted amazing and we had an incredible day. Drew was so helpful and he went out of his way to accommodate everything we wanted. So many people said that it was one of the best weddings they had attended and what an amazing day it was. Would highly recommend having your wedding in this beautiful venue!

Been here for a wake today and can say that from the moment we parked the car, to the moment we left, everything was brilliant. The staff are so so friendly, there was a lovely lady who greeted us and told us where to go, where the bars were, toilets and what time the food would be ready. The tables were set out very well and the food was epic. It's a strange thing to remember a funeral by!!! But it was honestly amazing.

Lovely wedding though the chairs were very close together for the actual ceremony despite there being lots of free space. The buffet food was good as were the pizzas and the games and garden were a lovely setting. The coffee at the bar at £10.25 for 3 Americanos - I know it doesn't divide evenly - were a touch pricey. Beers were reasonably priced for a wedding venue.

Shearsby bath is such a magical place, Beth and the team were amazingly helpful and we had the most wonderful night celebrating the end of 5/6 and for some 8 years studying medicine. the food was absolutely incredible. We loved the bar inside the marquee and the drinks were above and beyond what we expected Anyone considering booking this place for an event - it’s worth every penny Thanks again to the team and shearsby! We wholeheartedly recommend Shearsby Bath.The whole experience of planning our wedding, food tasting evening and the big day itself was amazing. Special thanks to Beth who guided us through the whole process and coordinated things on the day. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the grounds are exceptional. They created a fully bespoke package for us that catered for all our needs. Even going the extra mile by helping us with extra personal touches.The food was delicious and they catered for all tastes. Their suppliers where top notch too. The florist and cake maker all embraced our theme and added their own creative touches to make the day even more special. The day was wonderful for us and many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever attended.

Looked at Shearsby bath for my wedding, it's a stunning venue with huge grounds. The staff were helpful, friendly and polite. Only downside for us was it only has accommodation for the bride and groom.

Very nice setting but also remote. Waiting staff seemed inexperienced and looked scruffy. Meal was OK but some of the main course didn't arrive and we had to serve ourselves. The bar person who served me was rude and when I asked for rose wine didn't bother to ask which one I wanted. Luckily the bride and groom weren't affected by any of this but beautiful gardens, seating areas and water features can't make up for unsatisfactory staff. The wedding planner was super but can't be everywhere at once.

We couldn’t recommend Shearsby Bath enough. From start to finish the team where incredible, we had a few date changes due to covid which were handled brilliantly. Our day was absolutely perfect due to the hard work from Drew and the team even in 30 degree heat! The venue and grounds are beautiful, the food was delicious and everyone had a fantastic day!

Wow what amazing place couldn't of asked for anything else..

Shearsby Bath hotel venue party night with a band called The Talent. Sorry but this doesn't describe them favourably. Quite possibly the worse band I've heard for a long time. The sound was just awful..very tinny so bass and singing just drowned out but thankfully as this was not good at all. I would not like to hear them again. The venue did their very best and on the whole they did a really good job but it was very cold in the marque where the venue was held . We could smell the mens loos from our table. The pepper pot contained salt and the dessert which was a sharing platter was atrocious not enough to go round the table consisted of chocolate rolls could have been bought at asda, a few truffle chocolates. mini mince pie one each pots of chocolate and caramel dipping sauce with a few biscuits that were rock hard I guess these were to dip in the sauce oh and 2 strawberries. And why can't any chief worth their reputation not be able to cook Brussels sprouts! So overall not too bad but could have been better.

All day long we felt like we were in an extended family gathering. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Friendly yet unobtrusive, efficient, and professional. Fantastic day. Fantastic memories. Amazing secluded rural location, and the ceremony room was simply magical with the fairy lights and natural theme. Attention to detail was absolutely amazing. Thank you

Great venue in a secluded country location. Beautiful grounds and large, heated marquee next to a kitchen, with flooring, lighting, sound system, stage etc built in. Ideal for large parties, weddings and functions. Sound level meter automatically set to shut off if sound becomes dangerously loud. Staff were friendly and professional. Been plenty of parking available.

From the moment we met Drew and his fantastic team at Shearsby Bath we knew this was the wedding venue for us. Apart from the venue itself being absolutely beautiful, Drew and his team went above and beyond to help make our day so magical. We went for the all inclusive package and it couldn't have been any more perfect and stress free in every way. Everything was wonderful and blew us away. The Floristry, the photographer, the cars, the food and everything right down to the little details are all things that we'll never forget and we can't thank you enough for the first class service that you provided. Our guests are still talking about how it's the best wedding they've ever been to and I think that says it all. Thanks again Drew and team for everything, you will be forever in our hearts.

Great venue. Attended a wedding. Very beautiful venue and ceremony!

The venue was lovely and very impressive. A lovely place for a wedding. However, the venue clearly got their food ordering wrong. On two tables in the wedding party, guests had chosen vegetarian dishes but the chef/venue, didn't make enough. What was on offer? Well, the chef or manager came out with a stinking attitude saying that they would cut the vegetarian pie in half and split it amongst two guests! Outrageous. It could have been dealt with a lot better for sure. Also, the waiters need to be more mindful of how they collect and put down plates. Plates were literally thrown on the table with food going everywhere. None of this dampened the day or the event but the venue could do with improving this part of the business. There is also a sewage smell near the venue but maybe that is unavoidable.
