Shashlik in Leeds

Don't really review places but this curry was really really good, and the portions are fantastic too!

Always delicious food and prompt delivery with friendly polite drivers. Good choices on the menu. Shashlik is our regular choice for a weekend delivery.

Love Shashlik it's the best curry around . Service is always good Sunday and Wednesday 3 course meal deal is an amazing price plus bring your own alcohol makes it a really cheap night out. The staff are the best there are 🥰

Our chicken tikka masala and king prawn masala were perfect. The onion bhaji was the best we've ever had. We're definitely going to keep coming back for more.

Absolutely awful experience here, we booked a table for six adults and four children, as a birthday treat for my daughter, we arrived promptly to be pointed to a table and told you are sat there, we sat down and two Pickle trays wirh 7 popadoms were put down almost immediately, we then waited for someone to come take our drinks order, this did not happen, my daughter caught the waiters eye twice and asked him if we could order drinks and twice she went ignored, after 50 min we decided to just pay for the pickle tray and poperdoms and leave, the manager was the rudest most unpleasant person who spoke to us in an argumentative manner asking us what we were playing at! although the place wasn't busy people were dining and it was embarrassing trying to pay. I would NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone and won't book there again. Birthday tea spoilt!!!!!!!

Random visit today and it was a great find. Good value and tasty food. Didn't realise they closed at 10pm but were kind enough to let us stay a little longer. Will be back soon.

Was only person in early doors so hard to talk about atmosphere but staff were welcoming and helpful. Food was okay. Pickle tray was a little underwhelming. Reasonable price and okay quality

Really tasty food. Always tastes incredibly fresh and it’s really juicy, succulent meat. My husband called them up to thank them for the great food. I think they thought we were complaining at first but no, it’s become our ‘local’. Must add, very quick delivery. Always well within the hour. Thanks.

Wouldn't normally post something like this but in shock really. Been ordering from Shashlik for years and curries have always been pretty good. Anyway, ordered our usual tonight for collection and went to collect it, it was pretty busy which is unusual. Anyways got home and the curry was wrong to what I ordered, I called them up and they offered to rectify and delivered me a new one, it arrived within 10mins of the call. Anyway the rectified mistake still wasn't right so I called them up to let them know, I told them I didn't want a refund or an exchange and I know their busy but the curry isn't what I ordered. By the time he had finished giving me grief on the phone saying allsorts I was then told to find somewhere else to order from in the future....... just wow, amazing customer service!!!

I didn't order anything extravagant. Keema bhuna, chips, naan and chicken tikka starter. But it was lush. On time, arrived hot and tasted spot on. Definitely order again. Nice one.

Delish takeaway! First time I’ve eaten here. Got the Shatkora, Lemon rice, and a plain naan. Delicious! Will become a regular if all the dishes are as tasty! 30 minute for collection wait but also, 7pm on a Saturday! Worth the wait!

Friday night takeaway from Shashlik. Extremely tasty, tender meat. Biryani didn’t have veg in the sauce… strange to me. But all so tasty.

Really pleased with the food. Big pieces of chicken in my biryani, rice is moist. Bhuna has great flavour. Pretty spicy but I enjoy it. Definitely ordering again.

starters were amazing really tasty. However had chicken tikka massala as it said speciality dish. Chicken really nice but the sauce was so basic. just like a korma sauce but red. Such a shame.

Long time since we dinned here and I regret it after eating this wonderful meal, cooked to perfection and the service was great. Take your own beer as no license. Today's visit just confirmed my thoughts Shashlik is the best Indian restaurant by a country mile in this region, another visit another superb meal 👍

The food was very tasty however the bhuna was very watery. The coating on the mushroom bahjis fell off, the shami kebab fell to pieces when I picked it up and a lot of the poppadoms were broken into little bits and I couldn't detect any onion in the riata. The chicken bhuna did come in a large container and the portion of chips was of a good size. The chapatis weren't like any I've has before but were really nice. It's a shame about the things that were wrong because it arrived early, portion sizes were good and it was tasty

It's great here. The food is excellent, the staff are friendly, and the onion bhajis are to die for. The meal deals Wednesday, and Sunday are great value for the money as well. Been coming for the last few years. Go see yourself, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

The whole meal was clap cold, had to reheat my tasteless chicken and spinach balti in the microwave! The lamb tikka was just gristle. I am very disappointed as I used to love this place. Lovely friendly delivery driver, but the food? No! Shan't be ordering again..

Quality of the food was poor onion bahji was rock hard couldn't eat it . It was so hard to eat it was dried up as if it had been blasted in a microwave till I try was so hard , korma was very thin and runny overall poor

This restaurant used to be great. Unfortunately there is a member of staff who has joined in the last couple of years who is arrogant and rude. It is not the first time he has been rude. We have used this restaurant for take aways and meals for years. We have always recommended to friends and family and have taken them there. During our last visit we were charged a service charge for my 8 year old son spilling popadom on the floor! The rude member of staff said I will have to charge you a service charge if you make a mess, ofcourse we laughed and assumed he was joking! However my husband didn’t check the receipt and when I did the next day I was horrified and disgusted to see a £5 service charge added to our bill. I cannot believe this after we have been loyal customers for years. During our visit my son also had hot scalding curry fresh from the kitchen spilt over his leg, the same member of staff was more concerned about mess than my sons well-being and didn’t offer to assist the scalding or bring out a first aid kit. My husband had to lift his leg into the sink in the toilets and deal with it, we left not long after this due to my son feeling unwell.

Order our food it said arrival would 35 to 55 mins. We had to phone the restaurant after 70mins. They said they haven't cooked the food yet with been busy. They said 20mins for delivery. 60 mins later it arrived. The food was cold the naan bread looked like it had been eaten. The sauce was all over the bag. So very disappointed with the service

Really amazing paneer palak and pakora from here. Usually love the food and normally they’re very accommodating at adjusting your order to your preferences, however on this occasion it was clearly ignored meaning my mum couldn’t enjoy her curry.

Order accepted about 7:40. Delivery time 8.55. Got a message at 9pm saying it would be delayed. Tried to cancel as we were off to bed. Assured it would turn up in 5 mins. Arrived about 9:20. Wife had a small amount of her meal as she was very hungry. I'd gone to bed so had nothing. We've now got £36 worth of cold Indian in the fridge that will migrate to the bin by Monday. On a positive note, My wife say's what she did have was delicious. I'd argue when you're that hungry anything would be nice.

What a shame when the mangers not there , that the staff cart even do there job competently enough to get my order right, asked for extra mild chicken curry and they sent something as hot as a vindaloo. Waste of my money on time as they refused to give me my money back 😤
