Great little friendly hotel in a great position in Lynton. Breakfast also really good, with personally cooked options if that's what you want. Stayed 2 nights, perfect! We also had a really nice room with a view over the sea and down into Lynmouth.

This is our second time here. There will also be a third some day. The staff (Peter) was so kind and accommodating. The property is maintained very well. Beautiful outside and inside. If you're stressed (I'm not, I'm retired) take your walk around the shops in both Lynton and Lynmouth, get that out of the way, then just sit in the living room, enjoy the views, and pretend it's all yours. Actually, they make you think it is. Take the walk to the Valley of the Rocks but continue to Lee Abbey. Take the walk to Watersmeet too. Soak it all in. Then come back to The Seawood for a rest, and again, the views. Then, start over from the beginning. If the weather is not what you expected, it doesnt matter. Make the most of it all. Enjoy the great breakfasts and specially made dinners if you so choose. Meet a few new friends while you're at it. Thank you very much.

I came her on a visit to Knowstone for 3 days and although the place was empty, we were told all tables were fully booked and could not accommodate us for a small meal. I find the staff are slightly unwelcoming to those who are not from the area and will not be recommending this venue to anyone visiting area. Steer clear of Masons Arms.

Our second stay at this amazing hotel. Decorated to a high standard with perfect taste. The bedroom we had was a Queen, it was beautiful and we had the best nights sleep we’ve had in a long time. Plenty of nooks and cranny’s for some quiet time. A gym too, which we didn’t use but good to know! The food was perfect and locally sourced. Also nice to over hear others at breakfast saying how the food and hotel was amazing too. Dog friendly. We don’t have dogs but it’s so lovely to be in a family run business where guests are welcome to bring their pets, making it a home from home. The surrounding area is lovely and picturesque with the entrance to the Tunnel Beaches right near to the hotel and five minute walk to the harbour. Can’t wait for our next visit.

Came here for a carvery today, on holiday and staying nearby. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The carvery was absolutely delicious. So much choice and perfectly cooked. Best roast I've had. Highly recommend but book in advance
