Authentic tapas in a friendly atmosphere

5 of us had brunch as a family. We were very impressed. Two of us had the all day breakfast, very good. Home made baked beans were very good, really chunky hash brown, perfectly cooked poached egg plus the rest was all lovely including very chunky toasted sourdough. Otherwise there was halloumi gyros and chicken gyros. Final person had mushroom soup plus a chicken avocado pesto warm focaccia sandwich. Everybody enjoyed the food very much and the drinks we all had. I enjoyed 2 flat whites though the first was much better than the second for some reason, had more subtlety to the flavour, maybe the second was over tamped, a little too bitter. Staff looked after us and were very attentive to when you catch their eye. This is a skill often missed by waiting staff but here they were really on the ball. Not the cheapest cafe but with food and service this good you don't mind. Probably one of the best cooked breakfasts ever for me. I stopped several times to say again how good it was 😄

Been here a handful of times for drinks in the evening/night. The service is always great and staff are welcoming. The vibe is chilled and relaxed. However, I came the other day for lunch and the food was not nice at all. My food wasn’t hot and the steak was tough.

Well where do I start?? Me and my daughter were deciding on where to eat in Didsbury and my daughter found this place highly recommended on TilTock where it was receiving a lot of attention!! The videos of the food looked insane and we decided we had to try it. We have eaten at a lot of Tapas places in Manchester and this is the best by far!!! Hands down the food is insane!!! The waiters Dillon and I’m sorry I can’t rent the other person although we asked and wrote it down 😂😂 but anywhere very polite and attentive making sure we were happy. If you’re looking to try Tapas then this place is a must!! Thanks Santé we will be back 🙌🏾🙌🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾

Oh my goodness this place is amazing, the atmosphere, the staff and the food is incredible. This was our first time trying Sante and we was not disappointed every dish had so much flavour. Our waiters Dylan and Bartoush apologies for the incorrect spelling but thank you for an amazing evening and being so attentive and caring:)

Very expensive, the £7 tiramisu was worse than a out-of-state Tesco tiramisu.

Quaint, colourful mood lighting, and soothing music. SANTÉ gives blissful feelings to all in its relaxing environment.

I’ve been here for dinner before and it was lovely. However, came in for breakfast and honestly it was the worst breakfast I’ve ever had. Parts of it was burnt and parts were greasy. Absolutely vile. Won’t be returning ever again!

Lovely meal, great food, lovely environment. Recommend the guest pale ale and a number of sharing dishes!

The place is amazing, so are the food and drinks but I must say - the thing that stands out about Sante are the staff and the service - outstanding. I love going here and would highly recommend it.

Went here for a meeting the other day, never been in before but the place was lovely, nice selection of drinks and friendly staff, will be returning

One thing that I didn't like about the service was that we came in for the 3 for 18£ deal but it was never mentioned to us other than when we had to ask for it otherwise overall amazing

Nice atmosphere and delicious food! We came here for a full English breakfast on the last day of our holiday and I can't imagine a better farewell to English cuisine. Special thanks to Anthony who sent my forgotten hat all the way to the Czech Republic! Thanks a lot ❤️

A lovely laid back kind of atmosphere, with lots of great seating options, including one table under a skylight which made it feel airy with the plants hanging down too. The prawns were so good we had to order two. Their brunch menu looked amazing im sad I missed the time slot for it, but the salmon, prawns and salad were great while having a cocktail or two. Will be back!

It’s not been open as long as the other established small plates restaurants along the road but Sante is up there as one of, if not, the best destination on Burton Road for a casual drink and small plates. We had the 3 plates deal and it was fantastic; the lamb moussaka was melt in your mouth, padron peppers charred and seasoned to perfection and the patatas bravas were as dependable as they should be.

Jake is absolutely amazing. He knows how to cater to the customers needs. A fantastic asset to Sante. I will happily come here with this high class level of service. Very happy with the visit. Will come back again soon.

Portion sizes too small for the price unfortunately. Bit of an insult to greek cooking when the menu is focused on small plates. Average at best

Tried around 9 dishes off the menu all really good, great variety and presented well staff really nice and helpful good wine list too, will be back!

Very slow service. Staff sat down talking loud the whole time. Steak came resembling shoe leather. Over priced for basic food.

Poor service, after waiting for over 20min to place an order we just left. It wasn’t busy and the waitress knew that we are waiting.

Nice place, tasty food, slow and inattentive service. 1 excellent guy but the rest treated it like they were volunteering at a student union bar. More interested in socialising amongst themselves.

cannot speak highly enough about my night at sante this evening! fantastic service, jess was attentive to our needs but never overbearing, food came out in a timely manner and was some of the best i have had dining out in a while - the steak and focaccia were stand-outs in particular. the cocktails were fantastic and you could tell the staff had a lot of love and pride for their work, the capri drop and raspberry and watermelon crush being my faves of the night :) cannot wait to come back! thank you again for making an impulsive date night really special

We were celebrating a 30th birthday, had the upstairs room, about 30 of us, SANTÉ catered very well for some allergies and intolerances. Fabulous food and the staff were brilliant.

Great food, drinks and service. Had to wait a fair while to order food (a discount was given for the wait without asking or complaining) but enjoyed cocktails in the meantime. Service was fab, great recommendations from our server, she suggested a lychee cocktail and it was delicious! The place has a great selection of veggie dishes too and everything seems super fresh, the carrots were so tasty

Had a really lovely meal and drinks here last Saturday. My first visit and will definitely be returning. The food was delicious 😋 and the staff were lovely. We had a lovely bottle of fizz too!

Visited for a works Xmas party. We had the upstairs area for the evening. Unfortunately due to some technical issues we weren't able to play our own music - disappointing but no big deal. The staff were excellent, could not have asked more of them. For £30 a head, the food was very minimal, lacking in variety though what was served was nice. Possibly would come again but did feel ripped off on this occasion.

Came here for an anniversary dinner and would come back any time! Food was delicious we got about 6 small plates between the two of us and the waiter who served us was great with his recommendations. They kindly gave us a glass of prosecco on the house as they knew it was an occasion which was so lovely. Really nice atmosphere, friendly staff, great food and drink would definitely come back :)

Was looking forward to it! The food was delicious, service was great. No problems whatsoever. I found the portions a bit too small for the price. And again, the food was delicious but the menu itself felt a bit inauthentic or original with the exception of the chorizo and squid and maybe keftedes. Will probably come back still

Great new restaurant in West didsbury. The menu is very much like a tapas style Greek cuisine. Service was great and very attentive.

Really lovely little restaurant that deserves more credit. The food was just amazing and personally I think the portion sizes were perfect (definitely recommend the croquettes and meatballs, or salsa romesco if you’re veggie). The staff were all really polite and checked in to make sure everything was okay and we didn’t feel rushed at all, which can happen a lot in some restaurants in Manchester. Cocktails were also delicious and refreshing. Would definitely go again and would love to see what it’s like at lunchtime!

Had a reservation for lunch on Saturday. Nice ambience, good service, and good food.

Santé was a surprising find and the food is really very good and good value. I would especially recommend the lunchtime deal of three plates for £15 me and my friends shed six plates between us and I'm more than pleasantly surprised at how good the food was in the portion sizes were great. Between us we had the Hummus, Salsa Romesco, Croquettes, house fries, Gnocchi and Squid. The stand outs for me were the Salsa Romesco, Gnocchi and Squid all of which were outstanding. The squid came with a wonderful sauce and these crispy little chickpeas that we could not get enough of. The Gnocchi was Beautiful and tasted amazing. I can't say how good this was it's so worth getting I would add this to my top five Gnocchi dishes and I eat in Italy a lot. I think the portion sizes were really very god too me and my friend left happy not to full but ready for an afternoon snooze our our sofa's. The staff were lovely too, this is such a good addition to Burton Road, there are some very overrated places on Burton Road but this is not one of them. I think the menu is the right size and there are a significant choices to make but given the six dished we had I am pretty sure anything you get here will be good.

Saw this place on instagram and we decided to try it. Very tasty and fresh small plates, this spot didn’t disappoint! The Salsa Romesco with their flatbread is one of the best things I’ve recently had!! The Bavette was so good, very tender. Drinks were very tasty especially the Passionfruit Mojito. Still a few dishes to try and will definitely return ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️

I only write reviews at either end of the spectrum. I've dined here on two occasions. The first was good, we sat downstairs, quick service, food reasonably priced and had a good evening. Unfortunately the second was quite the opposite. My group were sat upstairs (perhaps this made the difference). We ordered every item from the first section and took advantage of the midweek deal and proceeded to order a mix from the second half of the menu. Plates started arriving in dribs and drabs, which was as expected at a tapas style restaurant. However it soon became apparent there would be significant delays for a lot of what we ordered. It was a shame it took them half an hour to communicate to us. And even then, only after prompting. When the last plates of our food arrived, they were incorrect. We'd seen the staff write our order, they hadn't mistaken it at this point. We were told the kitchen was shut, so we could take these as an apology and they could see if our original order could still be made. Not wanting to make a fuss, we accepted these plates and insisted they didn't have to make our original order. The manager came to apologise. We were told we'd missed a deal because of the mistake, so they'd take an equivalent of a deal off and 10% off the bill. Seems reasonable. They then offered us a free bottle of wine, so we asked for an extra glass for a friend to partake. Instead we got given a single glass of wine and no bottle (admittedly, the whole situation around the wine we didn't really care for). When the bill came, we'd been charged for the plates they had brought us which we hadn't ordered. Significantly more expensive than the deal. The 10% off was the service charge - not a surprise given it was only the service at fault. We challenged the bill given we hadn't ordered the extra plates and frankly wouldn't have accepted them if it had been communicated we'd still be charged. Their response was that we got better quality food and a free glass of wine so that should be ok. This place has a lot of potential, the chefs are great and the menu is tailored well. But slow and subpar service means we won't return here.

After following this restaurant on Instagram we were very excited to attend and travelled on a Sunday from north Manchester. This was a very disappointing experience .. the special which was heavily marketed on Instagram was not available on the day. Plates are served as small plates however prices reflect larger plates. Food was very salty and of a poor quality. It was however, dog friendly. Overall, we would not recommend this restaurant.

The food was quite good but the service wasn’t there at all,,personally for me the vibe was ruined when stuff didn’t show any hospitality it’s not a takeaway or some kind of fast food place so I expected stuff to be more hospitable and warming! Just for that reason I wouldn’t go back there again! Thanks

This place needs serious work. From the moment we entered, the service was non-existent. We had to wait for nearly half an hour to order food, which then took nearly an hour to arrive. Throughout our stay we weren't asked any of the service basics, (i.e. would we like more drinks/how is the food etc). The staff clearly need training in the basics of hospitality, as they spend most of their time talking to eachother at the bar rather than being attentive to paying customers. The food is masquerading as forward, innovative small plates, but is bland, under cooked and plain lazy. Overall poor experience and would not recommend. Hopefully this place improves.

Delicious food and drinks! It's one of my favourites since they opened not long ago. They serve Mediterranean tapas food, ideal to share, like hummus, croquetas, calamari, gambas, meatballs, chicken gyro, Greek salad, falafel, iberico presa ... I've been several times, and the food is consistently good. They also do nice cocktails. The staff are super nice, and the location is perfect in the main bit of Burton Road. Highly recommended.

Stopped by for drinks a few times as I live local. The service has been amazing each visit. Joe & Jen are extremely welcoming. Much better addition to the neighbourhood than the previous venue.

What a lovely addition to Burton road. The food tastes as good as it looks and the service is friendly and attentive. Sante is fast becoming one of my favourites for a drink and bite on Burton road (and the competition is strong).

A top-notch local bar and restaurant in Boho West Didsbury! We ordered the veggie meze platter, which was delicious. Cocktails are good, reasonably priced, well balanced flavours (not too sweet). This works as a place for couples or groups.

Delicious cocktails & food, especially the gyros & falafel! It’s a shame you have to order at the bar but will definitely return.

Genuinely the best squid I’ve ever had! Loads of great dishes. Portions are good even for small plates, loads of cocktail choices. We had the white wine sangria which was really refreshing. The staff were all very friendly! Look forward to coming back soon!

Poor experience, ordering was via the app only which was very clunky and took far too long. Staff were great, and it’s not their fault obviously management have made a decision. Customers don’t want to be sat around a table on their phones scrolling through menus, bring back human interaction, customer want that as part of the experience.

We were looking for somewhere to have a bite around Didsbury and came across this place. Food is beautifully presented. The salsa Romesco and the prawns were quite tasty, and the flat bread was nicely seasoned. Cozy lighting and decor.

New addition to already packed Burton Road located next to West Village. Great small plate menu but coffee leaves much to be desired. Will visit again 👍

Sat outside in the sunshine (always a bonus !) and had a fab chicken gyros. Top quality fodder ! 👍🏼

A great addition to Burton Road, would highly recommend for a lunch or dinner as the small plates allow you to have as much as you want. The food is excellent and the keftedes are a must.

Lovely food, tasted really fresh, staff very pleasant, some of the nicest food we've had eating out in a good while. It was all delicious but the stifado was something special.

A fantastic independent addition to Burton Road with Mediterranean vibes! The cocktails and food are amazing, we visited recently and my favourite has to be the croquettes and prawns, absolutely delicious! Will definitely be returning.

We have come to Sante a few times now and each time it’s been amazing! They have a wide range of cocktails and drinks, and both the lunch and dinner menu are incredible. Will visit again soon!

Came here for dinner last week, the food is absolutely incredible! We had the bread and dips, gambas, mussels and a charcuterie board to share between 2. Really tasty cocktails, the staff are lovely and the atmosphere is really cool - a proper Greek vibe. This is a must try if you are near Burton Road.

Excellent place for casual dining and/or just drinks. We had several Mediterranean tapas dishes and they were all cooked fresh to order, beautifully presented and extremely tasty. The gambas, croquettes and telescope dip are musts! Too service from the very attentive staff too. Great addition to the thriving Burton Rd area of West Didsbury.

We had some lovely authentic tasting Greek food in this new little bar/restaurant on Burton road. Cool selection of Greek beers too and very friendly staff - would recommend!
