Nice to see a traditional Chippie still surviving in Johnstone. I always enjoy sharing a generous fish supper and a portion of mushy peas for a fair price.

Was in here today got a pie and chips curry sauce. The supper was rotten chips tasted as though they were yesterday’s the pie was well solid with just a wee bit of meat in middle that wasn’t over cooked. Curry sauce lovely. Sorry Sandros won’t be back

Good food and service every time

I don't know what potatoes thay use but thay are watery and tasteless plus the othe stuff swims in grease sorry not for me every time the same

Never understood why folk think Sandros is the best chippy in Johnstone, chips are constantly a rotten big bundle of greasy semi warm mush, fish is nothing to get excited about. I'm afraid I'll be sticking to my usual across from the old Police Station which is by far the best chippy in Johnstone!

This is my favourite chippy. They always cook the fish fresh when you go in. It's always really delicious. Would highly recommend.

Good Fish at a reasonable price.

I ordered special fish and a fritter at lunch time. The fish was crispy and fresh. (bear in mind it was freshly fried) This is my favourite fish and chips shop by far. I haven't been back for over a year because the woman who has served me has a soured face and unfriendly. Sandro is now taken over by a new owner. I started coming back here twice this week. There now have friendly new staff behind the counter.

Chips were hard very greasy fish was all batter won't be ordering again

Staff and food good , but opening and closing hours are shocking. It just to open 12 till 12 during the week and till 1 in the morning in a Friday Saturday.

One of the best chippys it's always a treat.

The food is getting worse, and its very expensive with a bag of chips being £2.80 which is ridiculous for the quality of them.

Passing through bought Fish n chips went straight in the garage opposites bin horrid what else can I say utter waste of money

Best fish and chip shop in Johnstone and only equalled by Cosmo on Love street in Paisley, in my opinion!

Used to the best of a bad bunch but now it's just as bad as the others. Poor service from sullen staff, long waits for basic items and far more expensive than anywhere else in the town.

Chips and curry sauce at 5.20 has moved from large container to small absolute rip off.

Black Pudding was delicious but special fish had a lot of bones in it

Very nice and friendly guys there was a lady and two gentlemen inside and we are the chat. They are very friendly hard-working people. I tried to feel different things as you can see from the picture and the food was amazing I would definitely come back if I'm around and I could highly recommend it to anyone.

Was in on the 9/3 , bought a single hamburger at £3.60, only to find out the next day they had a special offer on at £3.00 for a supper, really shady that I was charged more for a single than a supper. No one had the decency to tell me when they took my money

Came here a few weeks ago ordered fritters and fish it was dripping with grease I took 7 bites of fish and there was at least 1 bone per bite DO NOT RECCOMEND

Fish was rotten, very greasy and overcooked, very thin fish in thick batter.

Decent chippy, huge menu and polite staff. Wait wasn't too long, even on a busy Saturday night which is a huge plus. Definitely recommended.

Hit and a miss with there fish suppers, overfried and dry as a stick sorry but never again.

Have been going from Paisley to Sandros for several years as the food was very good. However my last 3 visits have been so disappointing. Chewy batter and dry fish on last 3 visits Inc last night have put me off. It is so disappointing to see the great standard fall away to the point I will probably not return. Don't know why this has happened! Has it changed hands

Was a great chippy (probably still is) i travelled from paisley to eat there, sometimes lunchtime as well. But since u did a wee refurbishment & rattled the prices up. Sorry guys I'm not paying for it, so off to another chip shop for me.

Simply the best chip shop in Johnstone. Quality of the food is superb. There is a varied menu and there's always plenty of friendly staff working so you never have to wait long. The special fish supper is amazing, my son loves the chicken nuggets which are made from large pieces of chicken breast. Top marks.

Best chippy by a country mile staff are fantastic with great customer service, the portions are generous and food is always piping hot. When my daughter comes up to visit from England the first request is for a sausage supper from sandro's and I know she has told all her friends and family down south that it's the best chippy ever, I personally love the fish as it's always good thick slices and just the correct amount of batter (excellent batter too I must add). Give it a go you won't be disappointed

Prices have went up portions have went down. Dont know what oil there using but it makes the chips all mush.....very disappointing think I'll go round the corner from now on

Decent food , but the lady who served me spoke to me like dirt and looked at me with pure contempt .1240 28/2/19. Also short changed me by a pound and acted daft when challenged about it . Cant treat mentally ill folk like that .served her pal in front of me with a smile but I am scum .

I have ordered a sausage supper with cheese/curry few times recently and its drenched in mostly curry and barely any cheese defeats to purpose of the supper used to enjoy it from here aswell

Used sandros for years but last twice I've ordered the food hasn't been anywhere near as good as it used to be. No idea what's changed. Also twice its showed as delivered on just eat but doesn't actually turn up until 30 minutes later.

normally the food is amazing but tonight it was absolutely disgusting, the fish batter was soggy, some of the chips were green, swimming in grease and tasted weird. the mushrooms were soggy and the salad that came with it was brown and mushy. such a shame as i said normally the food is great.

Food was delivered as per revised time. Just eat really should have a means of letting people know BEFORE they order what kind of a wait they're going to have. When placing my order the estimated time for delivery was I think 21.05, this almost immediately changed to 22.05. If I had known this information beforehand I could have placed my order somewhere else that wasn't so busy. Restaurants should be able to give a better estimated delivery time before you click buy. An hour and a half wait for your order isn't much use tbh.

Arrived an hour early which was great. But caught us totally by surprise and my wife forgot to tip the driver 😂. Next time.

Delivery 45 mins late and food was reheated within an inch of it's life. This chippy used to be excellent but since it has been bought over it's standards have taken a nosedive. AVOiD

Very poor had a delivery this evening fish looked as though it had been dragged through a hedge backwards chips were looking back at me and we very soggy sauage supper was also disgusting never again
