Had a good value decent meal for daughter's birthday. The staff were fantastic and the place looked great

It’s half term and sunny so the restaurant was busy. I know they were short staffed but an explanation before ordering would have been helpful. Long wait for food. It’s all pretty much cooked from frozen so very average and overpriced. Dog friendly.

Advertise that they are open but in reality they are closed

My new must go back there place. Lovely location, food, drinks, service and atmosphere. The garlic baguette and olive's snack was perfect with a pint or even more. Highly recommended Salty's.

New Years Eve 2023 was made perfect by Salties. The staff were brilliant, helpful, attentive, friendly, fun, just perfect. The food was extremely tasty and the presentation was spot on. Thank you Salties.

Me and my family came for a big lunch during the Christmas period, and had the loveliest time! We were a big group with elderly and they were so accommodating and patient, made for a great meal out for all of us! The food was lush and would definitely recommend to friends and family ☺️

It is a lovely dog friendly restaurant right on the beach. Booked for four, and we all really enjoyed the food. We had lots of different dishes so we could share them and they were all full of flavour. The staff were all chatty and you could have a good laugh with them. Thankyou for a wonderful evening.

This was our second experience of eating Sunday Dinner at Salty’s and once again the food is absolutely outstanding. The gravy is the star of the show if you select the beef and served with perfect Yorkshire puddings. I personally thanked the Chef, Lee, and his team and will certainly return on our next visit to Tenby

Pork belly was cooked perfectly, the beer battered fish was enormous, great location and very nice atmosphere.

The food was outstanding, and customer service was excellent

We visited on a cold and dreary Tuesday evening, so they were very quiet. We couldn't fault the place. Lovely friendly attentive servers, an older lady and a young man. They were both superb at their jobs. We only ordered main courses, but that was all we needed. Food was served hot (salad excluded!) and was excellent. We really couldn't fault it. Lazy Cow Burger Goats Cheese Salad Vegan Linguini Butterfly Chicken All were very tasty indeed. Wine list was good. Our only wish, put a local beer on tap. Cask or keg. There's plenty about.

I will say the waiting staff were friendly but that's about the only positive. Really disappointing food and overpriced basically paid £25 for 4 boiled bland new potato's, and a handful of green beans and greens all of which were cold. The fish was nice, although small piece of sea bass. Unsure if it was local or fresh. I could've gone to aldi and cooked myself that meal at home for about 6 quid but just ate it because we drove 3 hours. No one asked if our food was OK and we had to get up to find the till to leave as no one came to take our plates away, but when we did complain to the lady at the main bar when we were leaving, she did apologise and try to rectify. The prices do not reflect the standard of food, really overflated.

We enjoyed a late summer meal here. We were in a party of 10 and enjoyed the evening immensely.

Lovely place very well situated. Lovely staff. I ordered some garlic and herb chicken and it was bland, didn't have much taste but that could be personal preference, also unfortunately did give me a bit of an upset stomach. Would I go again? Probably not. Would I recommend? For every 1 bad there's 10 good. Lovely location so would be a shame to miss.

Great experience and excellent vegan choices!

The restaurant itself is nice and has a good atmosphere. The views from the terrace are lovely. Unfortunately my starter and my wife’s main course were overcooked and borderline inedible. On the upside, our eldest son thought his burger was delicious and my main course was ok. However, a first request for a bill was ignored and the bill required 2 chasers, which stopped us leaving quickly, which is an issue for families with smaller children.

The staff is welcoming, and the fact that it's dog-friendly adds to its charm. Salty's is undoubtedly the go-to place for those seeking relaxation and a laid-back atmosphere to unwind. Myself and my partner loved it here and spent a couple of hours just taking it all in watching the world go by.

The food was amazing and tasted good. I had the cow burger with fries and my wife had the cod and chips , with calamari starter and olives. Reasonably priced. Few mistakes with the order throughout the service, however the service and the way they dealt with the orders being wrong was very professional and at a high standard. I would recommend this place with a wide variety of food, and I would definitely come again. The manager that was on last night 4th September was extremely friendly and very professional on how he dealt with any issues we had. Great atmosphere with the beach just next to you, a good variety of drinks alcoholic and non alcoholic. Dog friendly restaurants are an absolute winner in my eyes and this place is dog friendly. Booking a table via their website was also a nice touch. Vegan meals are available starters, main and desert. Very well done amazing.

We went here this evening 4/9 /23, we sat down drinks ordered along with the food, drinks and starters came out quite quickly, very impressed, cleared away the starters and ordered more drinks, which took another 40 minutes to arrive, then waited an hour for the mains, when they didn't arrive we then asked how long they were going to be were told by the server that the kitchen wasn't told our starter's had been cleared, and that we wouldn't have to pay, due to the misunderstanding and the time it had took, we were told our food was being cooked straight away. After another 30 minutes of no food arriving or the drinks we had also ordered 30 minutes ago, we decided to leave, we also had our 2 dogs with us, who were also getting restless, we won't be going back again, being a chef myself I know it doesn't take 30 minutes to cook 3 burgers and chips

Hit the spot for lunch with a few people. Service was pretty slow but the kids working were a 10/10 when it came to friendliness and manners. Great location that you obviously pay a little more for. Only had a few sandwiches so can’t write much about the food. Loads of dogs. Something to bare in mind.

The restaurant is right next to the beach, the atmosphere is very nice, but it could be improved. It is not seasoned enough, the fish is tasteless, a hamburger for a child is just a cutlet and a roll. A great place

Do not go here if you are a foodie. Good service and location, warm and buzzing atmosphere. However, poor menu and very bland food despite the up-market price tag.

The food is ok. The service was ok due to some being very young however, eager to please. We pre ordered due to being a large table but still got our food very late after being seated; ironically it was almost an hour in when they asked us if we wanted our food!!! A great attraction to tourists.

Just stooped by Salty's beach bar and Restaurant in Tenby, and man, what a blast! As soon as I walked in, I was hit with those epic beach views and the sound of waves crashing – instant chill vibes. The guys at Salty's were awesome, properly friendly and on the ball. The menu was packed with all sorts of tasty choices, I went for the Filet Steak and I was very impressed the steak was cooked exactly how I asked and tasted great. I also had the large prawns' side dish, which was the only disappointment during the evening as the Prawns were small and seasoned poorly. Date night or hanging with the mates, Salty's nails it. Unreal food, sick views, and service that's spot on. If you're around Tenby, I defiantly recommend you check out this sweet spot by the beach.

Well, it was a little underwhelming experience overall. We booked a table in Windows section and it turned out it didn't mean next to the windows but a table where you can 'see' the windows. Apparently, there are parts of the restaurant where you can't see outside at all. Anyway, we managed to talk to the waiter to give us a table next to the windows and we got it. Next, we placed our orders and soon afterwards we wanted to change our order (bascially, to cancel the chili cheese fries). So I called the waiter who took our order and asked if we can amend our order and rightaway (without even asking the kitchen) he said no because they've already preparing our orders. So, OK, that means our food was going to arrive imminently, we thought. Well, we thought wrong. I was sitting facing the kitchen and I saw plates upon plates of prepared food were served to customers except to us. In fact, it wasn't until another 35 minutes before our food arrived. So it was very clear that our order of chili cheese fries weren't being prepared when we asked to change it and the waiter could have very easily gone over and removed the item from our order, but it turned out he was too lazy and/or couldn't bother to make the simple request we asked for. We knew then that we came to the wrong place; a typical touristy, shut-up and eat your food and leave kind of place. Tenby is such a lovely town and we plan to visit again but never in a million years we'd go back to this place, and I'd advise anyone to stay away from this place also.

Saltys was extremely busy and they said they were short of staff so we couldn't sit outside but a table was given to us inside. The restaurant was very busy with large families (some with children) but tables were used, vocated, thoroughly cleaned before the next customers were allowed to use them. We both chose beer battered fish ,chips and garden peas(there was a choice of peas). I think the fish was Hake. It was a very large portion and well cooked. The chips were crisp and tasty and the peas well cooked. We both had difficulty eating it all as the potions were so large. We wished we had the Grandsons with us to help us out! It was delicious. The bill came to just over £40 and included a soft drink and pots of tea for us both and we felt that was a fair price. I would recommend Sally's to all. 1. The view from just outside the restaurant. 2. Beer battered fish, chips and garden peas.

We ate here as a large family group. The service was just ok, they did what they had to do, nothing more. There was no engagement, other than taking and delivering orders. On the whole, the food was average, nothing special - a little over priced taking everything into account. I ordered the lobster thermadore and steak combination expecting a real treat at £65. The steak was lovely, really tasty but the lobster was small, very disappointing and not treated with the respect such a creature deserves. It was difficult to eat as its shells were presented in a heap. The large claw wasn't pre-cracked, and the meat was a little mushy, not firm like it should be. I asked for a finger bowl, but my request was denied with an offer of another serviette - he didn't seem to understand why this wasn't enough to clean lobster hands! Overall, it was very disappointing 😞

Excellent food and friendly staff great views

On a day out from Bluestone, had to visit Tenby Beach and happen to come by this lovely restaurant. Ordered a couple of starters cheesy fries, Halloumi fries and squid onion rings. Great location and friendly staff esp the young lady on arrival. .

The food is OK, but nothing to write home about. As numerous other reviewers have noted the service quality is sporadic. A drink may take 5 minutes to arrive, or it may take longer. The staff also have an irritating habit of having a total meltdown once the venue is 40% full (missing those super-efficient Europeans yet Britain?). In short, it’s just ok. The owners have a great location by the sea but have failed to make the best of it. ***** Appreciate the owners swift response. Unfortunately, remedying their staffing issues isn’t really within my power.

Great experience this year. Charlie and the team doing a great job. For a young man he's got the potential to go far in the business. Whoever owns the place should be happy to know it's in good hands. Food was lovely and service was spot on. Can't wait to return. You have certainly turned the place around from what it was a few years ago.

Service was shocking!!! Waitress was so uninterested, forgot my meal, so only received as others finished. Some members of staff were good, but overall so annoyed with service won't return, especially as not a cheap place to eat. No service charge put on bill, but would have asked for it to be removed if it was. Won't be going back even though food was good

Visited here with a friend while staying at kiln park. All staff were friendly and polite. Had to move tables to get out of the sun and they were very helpful. Food was plentiful, tasty and hot.

Very good food, little pricey. We had lobster and prawn linguine. Excellent taste, we'll cooked, however, 3 prawns and 1 small piece of lobster is difficult to justify for price. However, the view over the beach and choice makes this worth a visit 👍

The choice of food options has become very limited since our previous visit

I visited with a friend as we was planning to go to the food festival but the line to get in was soooo long and it looked so cramped with people i just felt I couldn’t eat in such a small place. So we thought we would try Sally’s. Well I am glad I did because the food was lovely! Really nice, even though it was very busy, we did not have to wait very long at all. Really nice food and the atmosphere was great!! Will definitely be going again!

Food was that good we eat there twice this weekend fairly quick service good value for money the only real negative is that a few of the members of staff looked very miserable like that didn’t want to be there but over all good experience and we will be back!

Atmosphere, view and food are good (when it comes), but sadly there it ends, took 20 mins to get a drink and another 40 minutes for food to arrive. Sadly staff didn't seem to care at all and simply didn't show much interest in customers. It wasn't too busy, but there was just a lack of service. We finally got food which was good (pasta linguine), then a sweets menu (after asking for one), but gave up and paid without anyone asking to take a sweet order, didn't leave a tip (first time for years), but sadly it didn't deserve one.

Got there as soon as they opened. Friendly staff, great portions, great food. Ate and left within the hour.

Poor and rude service, we were forgotten about most of the night. Waste of time booking a table and requesting a decent table on a Monday night if you're shoved into a corner. The quickest time someone attended to us was when we tried to moved table so we were in the sun. I understand they don't want you to move table but when the restaurant is empty, maybe have some compassion.

The service was very good, even noting a sign stating that they were unexpectedly short staffed. Our food arrived quickly and was very good quality. The dessert options were limited but a broad menu otherwise.

Very busy, shown to our table by a friendly lady and that's where it ended service wise. Took over 2 hours for main course to come, far to long, we had sians special steak and lobster, both tasted delicious, however tried cracking the large claws with I assume a nut cracker and the handles just bent, I asked a member of staff to assist and was told she didn't know what to do, not a good answer in a restaurant that's sells shell fish. It is worth a visit just for the venue.

Awful service, waited 1 hour 20 for food only to be told they had deleted our order by accident. Manager was useless and rude, didn’t even offer to put us to the top of the orders just said he could put it back through but we would have to pay wait another hour. Not ideal with 2 hungry children. The staff were completely useless. Would advise people to steer clear. Shame as the views are amazing.

Don't be fooled by the lovely location the staff are so rude and its massively over priced it's a shame but there is zero customer service skills what so ever I have never experienced staff like it Avoid at all costs

Table booked for 19.30 food ordered, starters and a main for 2 adults and 2 children! Starters came relatively swiftly, eaten and enjoyed, an hr later still no mains after asking staff a few times and promises of 5 minutes everytime 🤔 finally got our mains at 21.35, we'd all gone past the point of wanting to eat by then!! I'm guessing the manager, did apologise and refunded all our drinks, but that wasn't the issue obviously! We come to Tenby once a yr and always look forward to Saltys, but that for us will be the last time unfortunately 😔 If you like a wait, the food is pretty good!!

The service was a little slow we were sat waiting for a while before we even ordered drinks, but the waitresses were lovely. The food was nice but a little overpriced, for the price we paid we expected it to be better. The menu said the hake was fresh but it didn’t taste/look/feel fresh, seemed like it was fresh but they froze it and defrosted it before service. The calamari was good and they were very big, could easily share this starter! Overall our experience was good but nothing special

Oof, where to begin… The only positive was that the food was nice. The biggest negative was that service was dreadfully slow, with food as a whole taking ages to serve, and then they forgot our kids’ food (ages 9 & 6), who ended up waiting over 2 hours after we sat down at our table until their mains arrived. We had to give them our food + snacks to keep them going. Other more minor things included not being offered a steak knife with my steak, and an unclean bathroom. It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review (most of the time I only give places positive reviews), but honestly, this place needs to take a look at its management and up its game. A disaster from start to finish. We won’t be back.

Just had food there , absolute disaster from the start. . Waited 1 hr 30 mins for the food , it was tasteless, gravy like water. The meat was fatty and no beef to eat. Then the vegetables came out halfway through the eating the meal . Then two bowls of cauliflower cheese came out to serve 16 people. Never go to this place again . Absolute garbage . To top it off our OAP’s only got served half a meal . With the managers attitude disgraceful and disrespectful!

Only go if you look the part… went down at 4pm for a drink in the sunshine with my family. I asked about a table and was told ‘we don’t do take away drinks sorry’ and dismissed. I replied that I didn’t want to take them away but sit down outside, I was again dismissed with ‘we have no outside tables’ I looked and could see 10-15 free tables. I asked about those and was told ‘we aren’t doing any more outdoor drinks’. Feeling incredibly confused, and a little humiliated, I went back out to my family to relay the news. Another couple were also outside and said they had been told the same. As I watched my son play in the sand I saw 6 more groups being told the same, however a young couple were seated outside immediately! A few of us ‘rejected’ clientele all noticed and shared a joke at what the code was to gain entry! A very odd place obviously doing so well to refuse the business of so many potential customers…!

Went there around easter. Service (during our meal) was very good and the supervising lady was great as well as the younger staff members. My only issue is we booked for 6pm on a Sunday and (being rainy) we decided to see if we could go down a bit earlier and have a drink or two before dinner rather that walk somewhere else in the rain. The girl told us that was not allowed even though we had a dinner booking we needed a separate afternoon booking for a table for drinks. Fair enough if it was busy but there would have been no more than 3 table inside being used. Had to walk my elderly mother across town in the rain to the Imperial. Would have been good to be a bit more pragmatic about the situation rather than stick to the rules so rigidly and unnecessarily.

I had a lovely lunch at Salty’s yesterday, efficient and friendly service, lovely food, great coffee and the perfect location for sea gazing!

The food was delicious. Service was good. Went there for a Lobster and steak for my wife but was told they don't have any lobster or Hake so ended up ordering something else (lamb ) while eating her main the table next to us which arrived after us was having lobster . When we asked why and the answer was delivery just arrived with lobsters at 6pm on Saturday evening. If they were expecting it we wouldn't mind waiting 10/15mins before ordering food. The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived.
