Lovely Sahara restaurant food was great and nice,clean and good service.

Came all the way from Bradford and worth the journey. Food absolutely bangin in my mouth. Recommend the mix fajita chicken panini and chicken steak and if you want an upgrade go for the melt chicken steak. Kids loved it and the owners were really nice. Met the owner can't remember but think he was called cube was a very top gentleman Good service aswell by the young lads. Will be coming back definitely Best spot in rochdale hands down 👏👏

Visited yesterday evening while on route to visit a friend. It was really busy, currently Ramadan. But managed to get a table for two straight away. This is the first time I've been to the new location, as I was living out of Rochdale for a couple of years. Ordered chicken biryani, double kobedi, keema peas, samosa chaat, rotis. All came with fresh salad and sauces. Presented really well. All really tasty. For me the keema was a little under seasoned. But still really good. Kobedis were delicious. Service was quick and polite. Venue clean throughout. Will definitely visit again

A great restaurant with delicious food. Fantastic value for money and staff are really welcoming.

Went for a meal with a couple of brothers. Food was cooked well, however my mixed kobeda and chicken lacked flavour when compared to other places. Overall a nice meal just lacking a little flavour.

Roti and handi was perfect but the masala fish was bland and no taste, more like steam fish. Need to work on your masala fish. Thanks.

Clean restaurant and polite staff, chicken biryani tasted fresh and easy on your stomach, overall good food and reasonable price.

We decided to visit Sahara on new years eve and despite it being quite busy we were served within 20 minutes of ordering which was fantastic. The staff were very helpful and the whole family really enjoyed the food which was top notch. We will no doubt return in the near future.

A busy atmosphere, hygiene is satisfactory. Food is consistent, tastiest kobedis in Rochdale. Succulent, melt in your mouth and so flavoursome. With such soft naan. Absolutely beautiful.

Sahara has a really clean environment with loads of really good staff and amazing service. The food is on another level, with the naans being mouth watering. The price is also good. We have been going there for around 10 years and has never disappointed. 5 stars on everything.

It was lovely place to take your family. The atmosphere is lovely and the food was really tasty. There are toilets in the restaurant which were clean and easily accessible. Parking was difficult as it's a main road. We ordered the mixed Kobeda, which was really tasty with naan and salad.

The kebabs are exceptional. The curry was nice but not amazing. Lovely people lovely customer service and a brilliant atmosphere. The prices are a bit steep but it's worth paying that bit extra for good food

Food has always been excellent at this place, great value for money. Couldn't recommend more the Mango Lassi, Salsa Salad and Peri Peri Chicken Wrap.

The food is incredible, got the chicken tikka and seek kebab on nan. The nan bread was so delicious on its own! Chicken tikka had so much flavour, clean, delicious foods, highly recommended.

This place was recommended by a friend, and it definitely didn't dissappoint. The variety is pretty decent and the quality of food was spot on. I probably had the best chicken Panini ever. I had a melt chicken steak and a Ferreo rocher milkshake. The steak was really nice and shahid (waiter) made my milkshake which was really nice too. Muneeb and Adam (other waiters) were also very professional and made sure my needs were met.

I only had a quick bite to eat, 2 samosas and a tray of chips. Now to be fair it was quite expensive, but the food quality does justify the prices. If you don't mind paying that bit extra for good food, then this is definitely the place to go. Well done guys👍

Owner was very friendly and welcoming and nice to chat to. Food was good, wasnt disappointed, would reccomend for families, and groups, very clean resteraunt to dine in and toilet facilities.

Early doors evening meal- difficult choice with all the great menu options. We went for a large platter and had fries as a side. Service was good/ welcoming and rapid but not fussy. The meat samosas were excellent- full of meat filling. Lamb chops done to perfection [chargrilling makes the difference]. Chicken tikka and kebab great as was it all really. Nice salad [just enough]. But the fries- = fresh and crispy= the best ever. The only down side was the £2.25 for a small bottle of sprite. All in all a good meal out and will return

Have been a regular customer for years, but this place has gone so downhill. Especially when you order takeout, my children have always found hairs in their food and they were literally stuck inside the food, the chips are always dry and hard, almost as if they have refried them. I have had to ring back a couple times because they would give me the wrong order and would forget other stuff like Naan and salad with our fajita. Naan was still very hard and the chicken wrap has no flavor at all.

Easy to read menu so I could decide as I'm so indecisive. Lovely food huge portions me and my friends really enjoyed it. I'll more than likely go back. Reasonable price too. Staff friendly. Comfy seating

Went in a group of around 20. Everything was spot on, almost. Food rook a while as expected but the reason this is 3 stars is one of the meals had a small hair in it and when we told the owner he just wiped it away and joked.

We order takeaway from this restaurant every Friday and we love their food its delicious I ordered a stir fried donner on garlic nan and omg I've never had a better more succulent tasty meal from anywhere it was delicious I couldnt stop eating it the portions are very good and the prices are very reasonable for what you get I will get happily fat thanks guys from shelly

Me and my partner Dan had this twice in the same week and every time fresh hot/food. Fresh salad. Very tasty food abouslty gorgeous food. Definitely my best place to eat!! Keep up the good work.

Nice staff excellent service food decent

Came all the way from Bradford to get dissapointed with the service and quality of food. The best sellers recommended by the gangster waiter were terrible. Lamb chops undercooked, fish was swimming in oil and the hummas was tasteless. Chicken steaks were like cardboard and donner was like eating rubber band. The chips were dry like the sahara desert (wonder if thats why they are called Sahara Grill). Ended the meal with terribe customer service as the staff were eager to get home before closing time. Dissapointed is an under statement. First and last visit. Lets hope the kitchen staff sort themselves out. P.s they can also do with a proper menu, not just papers stapled like a school assignment.

Lovely food this time round I remember going back after the lockdown and the stake and the chicken platter taste were absolutely different to what it was before the lockdown... But thank god we took the chance again... it was definitely worth it The service was brilliant they cater for children and adults spicy and non spices The burgers were brilliant size taste spot on and the fries were nice and hot hot hot The chicken platter was very tasty we were really pleased with out all time favourite to go place. The staff were welcoming, the food was spot on the ice cream was definitely luxury icecream the children really enjoyed their visit here so did we adults and you could smell and see the cleanliness of the store We definitely will be back again They have won their old customers back I'm just really happy we went back and gave them another chance.

I used to visit Sahara Grill back before the refurbishment - the food has got even better. Recently visited with my Mrs (12/06/21) Alhamdulillah space was good and a lot variety of food to order from and got served and waited on excellently amazing manners and respect. The food was amazing fresh and my Mrs loved it (she is very picky eater) she really loved the Chicken Kebab on naan and the Biryani and extra fries. I had the Melt Fillet Steak amazing and the Sahara Salad. I used to have the mix fajitas with half rice and half chips but went to the steak this time (wasn't disappointed). They also have 2 areas where you can eat inside some where quiet for families and somewhere there is a lot noise between customers which is great in my eyes for privacy. The only thing I can say 2 down sides (please do not take offence just giving my honest review) but in my eyes its nothing major they are a tad expensive (but the food it worth it) and the portions are slightly smaller compared to previously when I used to visit (not a big issue in my eyes other friends have stated the same) or it could be the way the present the food but I am sure if you request extra chips/food they will be willing to honour your request. **EDIT/UPDATE** Changing from 4 Stars to 5 Stars since eating a lot more out in the Greater Manchester, Bradford and Leeds region this place is one off the best restaurant I have been too, would 100% recommend to family and friends. Parking can be a pain but nothing major. Food is always fresh on point, never had an issue with it being cold or anything. My Mrs loves the Biryani here (she is very picky). Only once I was given the wrong food but it was rectified within 10 minutes (not a big issue), the staff are super friendly and so is the owner.

I'd say good food really is ,and you get what you pay for in life , so I'll give it 4 stars for two reason , but food we personally bought and took home we put in the bin after one bite we threw it in bin and went and ordered a Chinese,but reason I went there is because everyone told me it's the best place for a meal , the service I noticed was polite courteous and friendly towards the customers they clearly know personally,but when myself and my partner walked in we was made to feel so uncomfortable like we was out of place ,

Nice small place, decent portions

I have been a regular customer at Sahara for years and generally food has been top quality. The last order, however, was not up to the usual standards. The samosa chaat had more chaat than somasa and the seekh kebab was very dry. Hopefully this was a one off.

Really good kobeda kebabs, only gripe is they got my takeaway order wrong even though I asked if they’d let me check, but the said it was right. Live too far away to go back.

Food quality was good. Maybe slightly pricey but ok for one-time experience. We drove all the way from Manchester so it wasn’t worth it that much. You have to be lucky with the parking on the back of street because of limited space.

Poor tasting food Chicken was not fresh did not smell nice at all and when staff were informed they showed no interest in customer opinion. His reply was :this is the first time he's heard that and reading from the reviews it doesn't seem like so. What made it worse is he did not show any interest nor did he apologize for what we experienced rather promptly printed off the bill. The steak smelt like fish as they cooked it in same place. Have heard many people share that this place is not advised anymore. Chips were the best thing eaten. Do not recommend. Genuine review

Delicious food great customer service

Staff are super friendly and very attentive during our visit. The service was brilliant, place was clean and food was exceptional. I'd recommend their mixed fajitas and kobeda kebab.
