Rox Burger in Lewisham

I organised my child's birthday party at the restaurant. There were around 20of us, and the food were really good . It's highly recommended; the meal was excellent. Both the service and the presentation were excellent. Staff members were pleasant.

Came here with a friend who said this used to be the best burger joint in London... We were both dissappointed. Burgers were lackluster with very limited options, and server was clueless. Despite messing up our order they added extra charges for things we didn't receive and when we asked to have them removed he said he'd have to call the manager and just stood staring at us instead. Got fed up and paid the full amount because he wouldn't change it and we just wanted to leave. Definitely not worth an extra £15 for service charge and products we never received.

I use Just Eat to deliver from here and the burgers are the best I’ve found locally! For this reason I’ve given them top marks in all areas as an assumption. Well priced, nicely cooked and not ridiculously large. Rox Burgers are the best burgers!

Not a burger shop, but Asian. There were a few customers in the shop, the mood was totally oppressive, no music, yawning emptiness. The burger was by far the worst I've eaten in my life. Even if I go to the supermarket and buy minced meat, rolls, salad and ketchup, I can only get a better burger with ready-made products. The fries were prepared accurately, although it wouldn't hurt to change the fat in the deep fryer, as all sorts of things are fried in it on a regular basis and the fries taste accordingly.

So there's a lot to unpack here but bare with me... The place claims to be"Roxy Burgers" yet there is more Japanese cuisine and only a selection of about 4 different burgers, they even put chopsticks on the table, so yeah, definitely not a burger restaurant. The burger was small and not like the burgers I had seen in pictures previously but with a pretty hefty pricetag considering. We had chorizo in our burgers and it was basically the chorizo from those prepacked deli meat selections you get from Tesco. The chips came unsalted, with literally no table salt anywhere to apply your own. The tables were wobbly at the bottom and very sticky at the top like they hadn't been wiped clean. And the icing on the cake for when we went to go visit "the best burger in the UK" was the condiments they bring to the table, I received a price marked bottle of euroshopper basics ketchup (pricemarked at £1.35) and whilst I am not a snob, when a company pushes that they cook food with the best ingredients but can't even be bothered to hide how scrimpy they get on a bottle of sauce then I don't feel 100% convinced that I am being sold a good quality product here. The staff were lovely but I get the impression they know they're on a sinking ship as everything just felt a bit sad. I came here off of a recommendation from a friend who used to go to the higher green branch but he's defo lost credibility now 😅 Best burger in the UK? Its not even the best burger along that thames walk... It's a cafe burger with gourmet burger prices, I tell you something, I'd take Burger King over this every time and save myself a good chunk of change for some decent ketchup and table salt.

I have become a loyal customer, the best in London and the waiter and master chef Leandro is very polite, friendly and has better service, but the other rude waitress spoils the atmosphere.

The current location on google is just a takeaway address, the main Rox Burger location is: 45 River Gardens Walk, Greenwich, London, SE10 0UB. Rox burgers own website is incorrect with the address too. Shame as lost big group of customers today. Strangley Rox burger insta account has correct address.

I used to be a loyal customer of this burger place when they were at their previous location, and the experience was nothing short of fantastic. However, I'm sad to say that the magic seems to have vanished ever since they moved to their new spot. The burgers, which used to be juicy and bursting with flavor, now appear lackluster and uninspiring. The decline in quality is evident in both the taste and presentation, leaving me nostalgic for the memorable meals I once enjoyed. The change in location seems to have brought about a significant drop in the overall dining experience. The atmosphere and ambiance of the new place are sub par compared to what I remember. The previous cozy and welcoming environment has been replaced by a lack of charm and a sense of disarray. It's disheartening to witness such a remarkable decline, especially when I had held this burger place in high regard. I hope they can address these issues and recapture the essence of what made them so appealing in the first place.

I didn’t try this however, gave one star as the location is moved and the photos on maps doesn’t actually match the current location, very disappointing , we had a long drive and came based on the photos and reviews only to find a take away burger shop !!!

What happened?? Back in 2020 was so good, now awful old dry buns with over cooked (when ordered rare) patties :( Left a review on Deliveroo - no reaction. Happened not once but twice…I think it’s burned out! You can do better but until then no go. Real shame.

Great customer service , I ordered a burger it was quickly served , very tasty burger and milkshakes .the is restaurant very clean and the view is great. I have tried other places burgers and it was my first time at Rox burger and I love it the burger is juicy and tasty will definitely go again.

Not sure how they have so many reviews, they just opened. Went today and felt so disappointed! The chicken wings were cold, dry and tasted like pre packaged ready to eat chicken wings you buy in tesco. It didn't help that they also poured cold sticky sugary syrup all over them. What a shame. Most other restaurants in this area are great, they have done a solid job of bringing the average down.

Amongst the first customers at yesterday’s opening. Waited almost 2 hours for 2 burgers and fries despite my wife and I being up at the counter trying to find out what was going on several times. It took them 25 minutes to bring a can of Coke. The whole system broke down to utter chaos within minutes - they seemed to be serving people who had only just arrived before customers who had been waiting over an hour. When fries arrived they were stone cold. Patty in the burger quite nice and juicy.

First day in their new site and really not working (yet?). Waited nearly 2 hours for 2 burgers and chips, which didn't arrive. Gave up and went to cafe next door where same order took 10 minutes. Shall avoid until teething problems are sorted out.

If you love Five Guys or Patty and Bun or Shake Shack or Mother Flipper, then you should probably just go to one of those and save the disappointment.

The chorizo burger is out of this world. Just nicely spicy and you can order to be delivered in up the creek comedy club which is in part of the same building

Ordered Rox burger and Chefs burger. Presentation – 5 stars. Brioche is good. The burger itself is a bit dry – probably had been frozen (was cooked medium well). Chorizo is too finely minced and probably mixed with burger meat – the aroma was very weak. Onions cooked perfectly, so as bacon. All tasted as strong 4 stars.

I order from here all the time and the burgers are fantastic, one of my favourite burgers in London even after it's sat in a moped for 10 minutes. That said, the quality of the fries are poor and really let down the meal. Drowning them in parmesan and herbs helps a bit but you seriously need to improve the fries themselves if you want to take the top spot. Another improvement would be the option of a Gluten Free bun, it doesn't have to be a good one, just an option for celiacs. If my girlfriend's hungry we have to order from Honest Burger just because they have the GF option. Still leaving 5 stars despite the fries and lack of GF option because the burgers more than make up for it and you deserve to be on the map for that!

Wow I just had the worst meal delivered by this restaurant. The chicken wings Chipotle sauce was the only thing that was nice other than that the wings were so dry and dashed in the sauce and the burgers were dry and horrible and don't get me started on the dry chips. I used to be a regular customer when the original shop opened in Lewisham, since the move to Greenwich I am a much more infrequent user. During lockdown since thry reopened I have ordered delivery on three occasions. Each time the quality has been awful. They excelled themselves on this final occasion, by interpreting my order for mustard bbq wings as beung rolled in pure mustard. The burgers are now dry and tasteless. The citrus garlic sauce is now fatty mayo. Rox sweet now comes with a weird coat of cheese on top. I don't know if the place is under new ownership but I am now an ex-customer. I was aware the original owner moved abroad but thought that it had been kept in the family. When it opened this was one of the best burgers in London. How the mighty have fallen.

Soggy fries and burgers were way too salty

We didnt get a photo because once we tried it, we scoffed the lot! Best burger I've ever tasted, we came up from Plymouth and if we could we'd drive back again next week! We had one beef and one chicken burger and they were both as fantastic as each other!

Don't go there if you want to eat a load of Greece it was that bad it was dripping out of the burger and the bun is covered in Greece as well its ok if you have had a beer and don't care and it says outside we do the best burgers

I just ordered a burger and milkshake, and found a (thick) hair in my milkshake. It was definitely not my own hair. I tried calling to discuss this but no one picked up. We're in the middle of a pandemic, where hygiene from people preparing and sharing food is literally essential. Their hair shouldn't be falling into the food. This wasnt just disgusting, but unsafe and scary.

Just had the worst burger in London. Ordered a £14.20 burger medium, what turned up was VERY well done, dry and tasteless. McDonalds would be far superior. £5.65 for a tiny milkshake. Rox fries were barely warm. Chicken wings were stale. £30 in the bin. Avoid!

Just had 4 Rox Burgers home delivered. Our first time. I had the Chefs Burger and I just cannot fault it, great bun, the burger had that flame grilled taste, juicy, great quality piece of meat. Best burger I think I've ever had, thank you. Onion rings were awesome also. Will definitely visit the restaurant when this shut down passes.

After they moved from Lewisham to Greenwich it was hard to get good burgers around London. So I moved house couple of months ago and fund out that I live -again- in an area where they deliver to. So I ordered again, yesterday via ubereats. Not only came the food 50 minutes late it was also completely cold and soggy. The quality of the food went from A+ in Lewisham to F- in Greenwich. I am truly disappointed and will never eat there again. Rox Burger forgot about where they come from!!!

Soft bun and tasty meat, I can't recommend this burger enough. It's a must try if you're in Greenwich area. Heinz mayo is available on the table and this is a big thumbs up. I just didn't understand why they don't have Heinz ketchup as well but kind of a cheap cash and carry one. As soon as they go for Heinz I'll change this for 5 stars.

Came here because of the raving reviews but was thoroughly disappointed. We ordered the cheeseburger and the buns were practically soaked in oil, the patties were tough and tasteless (we ordered one medium and the other well done). We had their honey bbq wings as well and it came drenched in sauce which was too salty and the chicken itself was really tough. Will stick to Five Guys next time!

I have a strange penchant for burgers, always looking for the best one wherever I travel, and the Special Crispy Double Decker at Rox is by far the best burger I’ve had in London. Despite the hefty price of £16 for the burger alone (if delivered), their pattis are 100% Angus beef, deliciously seasoned and flavoursome. They’re huge (mess-all-over-your-face kinda burgers), so no need to order the fries, which were underwhelming. Overall, a very happy customer and will order again.

Honestly this place is worth 2.5 star max. The burger was okay, but felt some thing pre burnt to get the taste. We only came here because Hanks in Deptford Market Yard had closed. No substitute at all. If you’re a burger fan, don’t waste your time

I can’t believe people are saying amazing food. Was it my luck that I paid for 1 burger and fries with lemonade £18 and even the fries were terrible, how can you get that wrong?. The burger felt like it was made and reheated and so were the fries. Were you closing when I ordered my food and you gave me left overs for £18 ??? I don’t like giving bad reviews but I feel like I was robbed.

Had one of these today, after reading the positive reviews. While I really liked the venue, unfortunately I was dissappointed with the quality of the burger. It wasn't bad, just very average, for a start it needs more filling (onion, salad, tomato etc), the burger patty itself was good, but the bun was too doughy. Overall, it was just bland. It wouldn't take a lot to improve it, just some thought into how to add to it.

We really like Roxburger.The burger quality is the same since the beginning.We do order with Deliveroo few times a month.But the portion of fries what i have received for £3.30 was really disappointing today.

This place used to be my staple for dinner on at least once a week bases - that great their burgers were back when Rox had one brunch on Lee High Road in Lewisham. You could taste the love and passion put in to making their burgers in every single bite of their, and my favourite, Rox Salad Burger with Sweet potato fries. The atmosphere was very pleasant with family feel and great friendly staff, which I experienced unfailingly, when visiting the restaurant or picking up my order for munching on later at home.

Their old place on Lee High Rd served some of the finest burgers in London. Now they have a residency in a comedy club in Greenwich near the Cutty Sark DLR station. Not sure about the reasons why. Doubt that it is the same team now. The burgers were mediocre at best. Hardly a place to sit. McDonald’s frankly might be the better option nowadays sadly, not much worse but cheaper.

The menu looked promising but the actual food was not so great. Very bland. I will not be going here again.

Rox Burger deserves a 3.5 stars for our experience. I had craved a visit for a while based on reviews and the look of their burgers. Naturally, we were expecting to be blown away. Unfortunately, we weren’t. Bit gutted actually. The burgers did not look like what is advertised and they weren’t packed with as much filling as expected. Don’t get me wrong, the burgers were tasty but it wasn’t a Five Guys. The fries were the best part of the meal. Good portion sizes and plenty of Parmesan throughout. Lastly, we thought £1 for a very small pot of house sauce was overpriced compared to other burger joints.

Absolutely love Rox. Been quite a few times and would grab a burger roughly once a month. Everyone I've introduced to Rox love it too. Still one of the best around

Went years ago so isn't too sure if it's still the same. But the burgers were tasty and greasy just as burgers are meant to be.

Veggies get their own burger menu and the veggie burgers are delicious! Sides and drinks good too with local beers and homemade lemonade. Always busy.

Totally understand, anything can happen, someone messed up not on purpose, but this is a really dangerous health and safety risk.

Living just 68 meters from Rox Burger I was disappointed to find that the vegetarian burgers are cooked on the same griddle as beef. While my ‘veggie crisp’ burger looked amazing I could smell beef emanating from the plate and it was cooked on the same grill as my partners beef burger. I was offered another burger but politely declined this having been put off. I was informed that nobody has complained about this before. I have eaten at Rox Burger on a couple of occasions prior and feel this should be specified on the menu and not marketed as ‘vegetarian’. I can understand the difficulty in such a small restaurant however adaptions must be made in order to market your vegetarian options as truely vegetarian. While I did throughly enjoy my fries and the chilli sauce I am put off from revisiting Rox Burger again.

Best burger in UK? Poor cuts of meat, grissly, not minced properly, however, seasoned well. Soggy bread. 5 guys is better. Fries not good, coleslaw tasted odd. Very disappointed.

The most average, or even below average, of bugers. The bun was near-soggy with grease. Don't quite know how or why the top of it was so greasy. The burger tasted of nothing as it was entirely overpowered by a cloyingly sweet BBQ sauce. Grim. The fries were fine, but no better than McD or BK. Staff were very polite and nice. But you'd be better off most other places.

Alexandra (also known as Ola) was excellent when she served me the crispy french fries in the Up Creek Comedy Club branch of Rox Burger! The fries were of a very good sized portion as well I feel! =)

The burgers were 10/10, the chips were 8/10 (the cheese on them wasn't melted) the service was really nice though. Love the look of the place. We paid £1 for sauces - they came in these rediculously small pots that they give you in mc donalds for the ketchup and bbq sauce dispenser. The sauces tasted 10/10 but the amount you got for a £1 was not worth it in my honest opinion. Good thing is that you get a big portion of fries. Apart from the small amount of sauce and the cheese not melting on the chips, I've had a brilliant experience.

This little gem in Lewisham has one of the best burgers I've ever tried. The staff is friendly and we were all served very fast.

All three of us really enjoyed our meal. Small, clean place with friendly and quick/professional service. The food was perfect; we had a side of chicken wings (peri-peri) that we shared, along with pretty purple tasty coleslaw, and Parmesan chips. We all had beef burgers - highly recommend. Had homemade lemonade, delicious. The milkshakes were pretty special too. The reviews were right. Excellent place
