Ross Park Hotel n ireland in Ballymena

This is a hidden jem and should be on everyone's list. Our daughters wedding was held here and it was a truly fantastic day. The hotel is hidden in huge gardens, extremely kind and profession staff, wonderful food, extremely clean and very homely. Everyone enjoyed every aspect of this special occasion. Words can't describe how fabtastic our day was. Thank you

Stayed here last night (11.8.23) for the second time.. the first time was back in October 2022 and we had a double room which was just ok, quite run down and overdue and update.. So with that being the only issue we stayed again in a family room last night and the room was very large with comfy beds but unfortunately that’s the only positive’s.. The room was dirty, cob webs on the inside of the window which u can see in the photo attached and the room also had a few flies and spiders in it which isn’t great if u are like myself and are petrified of spiders….when I addressed this on check out the man on reception couldn’t care less! His excuse and I quote was “well you are in the country so you will get flies and spiders and that’s why there’s webs.” As u can see in the photo the webs aren’t spider webs they are cob webs that have been there a long time! Breakfast…I would give it 1*, waited half an hour for sausages and bacon to be replaced when it had ran out and the glasses for juice etc were dirty! Wish I had a photo of them.. All in poor service and not a great selection of food. Would 100% not stay here again and wouldn’t definitely not recommend to anyone

A great dining experience with excellent food. My husband requires gluten free options and the choice was very good. My starter of pancetta, sun-dried tomato and blue cheese salad was very tasty as was my husband's salted chilli chicken . For mains we had the duck which we both enjoyed, if I was being pedantic I would say the duck was slightly overcooked but I appreciate that to most diners it would be perfect. The accompanying sauce was very flavoursome. Bizarrely our only issue was with the cutlery - the knives were blunt beyond belief. There was a adequate choice desserts, the profiteroles with chocolate sauce were light, filled with cream and the sauce was delicious. The cheese board was fine but I've had better. The staff and service could not be faulted and a warm welcome is guaranteed. I'd b happy to recommend.

Went for daughter's wedding the staff was excellent the church the food at lunchtime dinner and buffet were fantastic. Could not fault this venue. All the staff were friendly helpful.

A very disappointing stay, to be honest. First of all the likes:- beds very comfortable, bathroom spacious and walk in shower was great. Dinner was lovely, great flavour. Dislikes:- Bedroom was very warm, even asked for heating to be turned off completely but was not, rooms are very small not alot of air in the room. Not many choices of channels on TV. Have to wait in bar area to order food then be ushered to the restaurant when table is ready, not a great idea, specially if customer have walking difficulties. It's very out dated ( was told by receptionist this morning all hotels have this system, which is a blatant lie!) Breakfast is a buffet and food is cold, which was a shame as the dinner the night before was lovely. Outer building:- weeds growing out of water spouting, green all over window stills and roofing, outdoor furniture is rusted full of spiders webs and needs washed. Receptionist got very defensive and argumentative with us when we vioced our complaint this morning, didn't want to to know, when we turned to walk out of the hotel I said its ok that we wouldn't be back he raised his voice and started shouting at us as we were walking out the door, very unprofessional and uncalled for. After being treated and spoken to so poorly, unfortunately it was a very bad experience and a real disappointment to celebrate my partners birthday and the hotel ruin the occasion by that member of staff and we will never return.

6th April I was taken to Ross Park Hotel restaurant for an evening meal. Lovely soft music great dinning, good food , very friendly staff, I would Certainly go again and can highly recommend it. Very good chef. Thank you for a very pleasant night.
