Rose and Crown in Ashfield

This pub is under new ownership and they have really tried to put some soul into the place, they have your standard beers on draft but they have guest beers that are brilliant and not too pricy. They have games nights but even if you aren’t a regular, they make you feel welcome. I wish it, or I, were closer!

Great local pub and good value. No food but usual snacks.

Great to see a couple of interesting and well-kept real ales which change regularly. This is a proper local pub but offers a warm welcome to visitors.

Wonderful traditional pub. John and Theresa give a friendly welcome. There is real ale, and plenty of traditional pub games, such as darts , dominos, pool and Skittles! They don't do food, but have Pipers crisps, the next best thing!

A proper "local" pub. Friendly little watering hole, no food, no kids, just darts n dominoes and a lot of friendly (albeit often sarcastic) banter from the townsfolk who use it.

Friendly staff and pub atmosphere. Even a bottle of spray in the loo for them caught short lol

Foods really good. Best to book as it does get busy. Staff friendly. Only criticism would be about the steaks. Never seem to get them right, whether you order medium rare or well done. Seem to come out the same. Otherwise everything else is on point.

An old time. Pub as they should be for the locals , domineo and crib as well as darts. A sing along at the weekends. Monday Caren served of speckled hen at 2.50 special offer, which is a great price for a free house.all in good order thanks

Good singer Robbie tribute. However some people spoilt it for others with loud drunken behaviour . Perhaps they think only they matter.

Stopes whilst out walking with some friends. Beer was OK and we can take dogs in. Not worth a night out but OK if passing

Great pub nice local atmos one of the few pubs left where you can go out for a fag and leave your wallet on the table and it will still be there with all your money still in it dogs and children welcome. Games for the little. Oned and slots and the oldest pub game in the world (ring the bull) for all to play beat the record if you can :) free wify well worth a visit
