Fitted us in last minute and the food is very nice. It is a pricey place but perfect for a special occasion or treat. Service is very good.

**Review for Ronnie's Restaurant in Essex** I recently had the pleasure of dining at **Ronnie's Restaurant** in Essex, and it was a truly exceptional experience from start to finish. The service was impeccable, with the staff being attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. For starters, I had the **prawn cocktail**, which was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It was the perfect way to begin the meal. For my main course, I opted for the **lamb cutlets**, which were cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The accompanying sides of **parmesan chips**, **asparagus**, and **mushrooms** were equally delicious and complemented the lamb wonderfully. My two friends also thoroughly enjoyed their meals. One had a **beef pasta dish**, which was rich and hearty, while the other chose a different style of lamb that was equally succulent but prepared with a unique twist. Both dishes were beautifully plated and received rave reviews from my companions. The attention to detail in both the food presentation and flavors is what sets Ronnie's apart. As seen in the photo, each dish looked as good as it tasted, with vibrant colors and generous portions that left us all satisfied but not overly full. The drinks were also on point—refreshing and well-paired with our meals. Overall, Ronnie's Restaurant is easily one of the nicest restaurants I've had the pleasure of visiting, not just in Essex but around the world. If you're looking for superb food, excellent service, and a great dining experience, I highly recommend giving this place a try. It's definitely a gem that stands out in both quality and atmosphere!

Superb food and service. Room gets noisy when busy

Heavily over priced. Unfortunately this place isn’t about good quality food. Waiter was hovering around us for a good 40 min, made things quite uncomfortable. Not recommending.

My visit with my wife has been fabulous. Our waiter *Vazili?* was lovely, chatty and knew exactly what to recommend. Our sommelier (Italian guy) was very friendly and had a great wine comparing with our food. I am speechless about the quality, quantity, presentation and smell of our Surf and Turf. However, dessert presentation and taste could be improved.

Moved to Stortford in 2018. This is the second best restaurant experience I've had here in town to date, both in flavour, service, and ambiance all things considered. Thank you!

I went recently for my mum's 70th birthday. There were 16 of us so we had one of the rooms upstairs to ourselves. It was great to have the space, but the room isn't completely closed off so you still feel like you're a part of the restaurant atmosphere. The service was impeccable. Our waiter Kamil was amazing. He was really great at making sure the gf people were catered for and checked everything they ordered was suitable. He was patient with our big group and was always nearby if we needed anything. The food was incredible! We all loved our meals 🤤

First visit to this wonderful restaurant. From the moment you arrive everything is excellent, the welcome, the service, the menu choices and especially the food quality. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Took my mum here for a midweek lunch a couple of weeks ago for the first time and we really loved it. My mum is pescatarian and the menu options available to her were varied but also really nice (some places don't do so well for non carnivores). We both really enjoyed our food but also found the team in here to be really welcoming and chatty which created a lovely warm atmosphere. We will certainly be back.

Treated by good friends to dinner here, with, indulgent, top quality wines. The modern interior has a relaxing ambience, and the food and service were excellent. Our sommelier’s description of the wine was rich and entertainingly theatrical.

Bartender was unreal Renato was so real creating conversation making us feel very welcome and creating a friend like relationship which is absolutely worth it would definitely go again and went with a friend but it was so worth the price

Me and a couple other mates went in just for a drink and sat at their bar, we were greeted by a bar tender named Renato of which he told us it was his first day working here. He was lovely and took the time to talk to us and answer our questions about his life. I couldn’t recommend a drink from Renato more, one of the nicest people of whom we have been served byx

Every mouthful was delicious, full of flavour and cooked to perfection Staff immaculately dressed, attentive, friendly and added to an amazing evening. I have had the privilege of dining in many amazing restaurants in many parts of the world but this restaurant rivals the best and we cannot wait to return. You will not be disappointed. Everyone were dressed up too, families, couples, groups of friends and it added to the buzz of excitement amongst the throng of activity and festivities all around us.

Roni’s waiting staff make the experience personal in a friendly way. Food is high quality and prices are reasonable considering this is fine dining.

First visit and won't be the last ,really good choice on lunch menu ,slick service and friendly waiting staff .Husband had the beef ,which he said was excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed my squid and pork tenderloin -empty plates .

We dined in Roni's with a group of mums mid week. The food portions are small and unappetising. Unfortunately we didn't enjoy our food. The bill was so laughably huge we felt embarrassed to pay the £60 per head for two courses. Roni's has delusions of Browns pricing with none of the culinary skills.

Absolutely wonderful restaurant, will definitely return and recommend whenever we get the chance. We took my mum here for dinner on the last night of her visit. She came to town to stay with us and help after the birth of our first baby, so we were hoping to give her a good thank-you send-off. It was also our first dinner out with the baby. The entire meal was beyond wonderful. The staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful, anticipating our every need. They gave us a table where we could easily attend to our baby while still enjoying our dinner without constantly moving around a pram. The food was hot, and our server timed each course perfectly one after the other. There was an extensive array of allergen free options, including lots of gluten free dishes. Everything we ordered from the menus came out delicious.

What should i say? It was Perfect! Starting with the Food: Nice grilled Octopus and the best Cozze Marinara i‘ve ever had in England. The Linguine al Astice where just like my Nonna made them. Simple, fresh and a little bit spicy. To fill the last Gap: Creme Brulée Drinks: after a nice Aperol Spritz a lovely Prosecco Rosé (Winecard is a must-see!!) For Dessert a Double Espresso and a Grappa on the House (my Favorite ;) ) But the best yet to come: The Service! You Guys made my Evenig perfect. Dining alone is a thing in UK… not as chatty as in US or Italy. But @ Roni‘s they absolutely know how to make you feel welcome. Nice Chat, Good Recommendations… simply perfect hospitality. Thank you Guys and i‘m looking forward to see you again

Service at Roni's was exemplary. The attention to detail shows and the experience was as expected for this fine dining experience. Fast to be served and smiles all round. Food was fresh and plating well recieved. Lamb was a little dry but still satisfactory. Venison had a sumptious relish. Escargot was a first and an aquired tase felt the garlic may have overpowered but still first to try. Overall, will recommend and be visiting again

This is the 2nd visit to Roni's and we were not disappointed, would highly recommend and look forward to our next visit

If I could rate this 0 stars I would ! Booked a table for Valentine’s Day , watch 3 women walk in and be handed a rose but not myself , I don’t want to sound pathetic but I did think it was rude , lady at front kept looking at us and smirking ,table was at 9 didn’t get seated until 9:20 considering we was there since 8:45 ! Food was ok nothing special for the price ! And was rushed eating our starter , maybe this was because we are a younger couple and 95% people in there were older , I’m not sure but should judge books by covers 🥴

Excellent food and service. First time as a family that we we had been there. Not cheap, but we didn't want cheap.

Only 4* as the lime served with the crayfish starter looked like it had been cut at 9am & served at 8pm that evening. I expect better/fresh @ £70 a head for a meal. That said we did enjoy the meal very much & will be visiting again.

I cannot express my disappointment at the service we received last night at this restaurant. We hired the private room for a party of 12 and the service was very poor, we waited 40 minutes for our first drink, we ended up going to the downstairs bar to get our own and waited 1hour 50 minutes for starters to arrive, main courses were late and cold staff said when questioned that this was our fault as we were talking so they didn’t want to serve us !!!! One of our party ordered sticky toffee pudding and got Christmas pudding, when this was questioned staff tried to convince us this was a sticky toffee pudding made to look festive.

A modern European fine dining restaurant in Bishop's Stortford. The dining room is pristine, welcoming and spacious. The front of house team are attentive and universally lovely. The food is good but probably not quite wow enough for this price.

Surprised that I hadn't eaten here before. Really nicely set up. Lots of natural light, and the team are really accommodating Lots of choice on the set lunch menu. I'm scoring low as mine wasn't great, but I think that's what I chose rather than being poorly cooked. Worth a visit

Food is hot and tasty Service is good and friendly

Really enjoyed our Sunday evening meal here. The staff were attentive, largely left you in peace, but ultimately came over straight away when called upon. I ate the lobster linguine & sticky toffee pudding, (the apricots with pistachio was also very good) and can highly recommend. As I was driving I had the virgin Mary but asked for additional tabasco which did not disappoint. I would happily eat here again. Note: 12.5% service charge was included in the bill but as described it was worth it.

Just popped in for a quiet lunch with my wife and we both really enjoyed every aspect - superb service (in particular from the sommelier) and lovely food. Good to see vegetarian and vegan choices in a good quantity, too. Perhaps a little more expensive than the alternatives in Stortford, but you get what you pay for. We'll be back for sure.

Beautiful food and lovely atmosphere. Sara was courteous, polite, respectful, considerate and delightful. She looked after our family so well, and even won over my two year old grandson! Her recommendation of the fiocchi was spot on - one of the best dishes I have had. Thank you for such a wonderful evening.

Lovely food, menu has lots of choice for all. Amazing wine list curated by Raffa, the sommelier, who is super helpful in picking the perfect choice for your food.

Really amazing place. We were incredibly well looked after by Vas and the team. Great knowledge of wine and food. The food itself was incredible… Pasta just like being at home in Italy. Would highly recommend… so nice that’s Bishops Stortford has something of this standard.

From the greeting at the door was a first class experience the food would and is as good as many London restaurants, The service was spot on I've heard that people say it's a little expensive !! Absolutely brilliant evening. Great Staff and food. Not mad money but quite expensive for a local night out. I didn’t begrudge the cost at all I almost never order a steak unless I’m in a steak restaurant. They usually disappoint. My friend (who had been before) recommended that I would be missing out if I didn’t have the fillet. He was 100% right. It was as good as I have had anywhere.

I had a great experience here, I took my Nan and the waitresses and waiters were all super friendly, efficient and helpful. They were also happy to give some great recommendations. The food was delicious, (Prawn linguine and separately Grilled King Tiger prawns) will definitely return.

Great attentive service. Expensive, could be a bit cheaper. Never understand 12% service charge on wine. The more expensive the wine the more you pay for service, but the uncorking and pouring process is the same! Gave a surprise birthday dessert that wasn't ordered and then charged for it. One of our guests complained that the beef was too dry, but it was dealt with

Best restaurant in Bishops Stortford in my humble opinion. The place spotless and staff always impeccably presented. Great food choice and good wine list. Staff always do their utmost to accommodate. Only thing I would say is that it would be good to see new things on the menu more often.

Fantastic experience dining at Roni's for Mother's Day. Delicious food, beautifully presented and great atmosphere in the restaurant. Even at a super-busy peak time, the staff were very attentive and made sure we had a great experience - the Greek waiter with the beard in particular was very friendly and knowledgeable and gave great menu recommendations! Can't wait to visit again.
