Rojin Mexican Takeaway in Rugby

We love Rojin, always a good honest takeaway, especially the chimichanga! I have to say, food always tastes fresh and natural, most other takeaways these days are full of salt and greasy, Rojin is not and is our choice when we can’t be bothered to cook, recommended.

I like Mexican, so when seen this, thought I would give there chilli a try! What can I say, more like Bolognese with a few beans throne in , don't think it has seen a chilli, had a korma hotter than there chilli, so definitely won't be going back!

We are vegetarians but even by anyone's standards, this was poor. Basically we were served frozen vegetables in a wrap. Very little spice and to be honest it was just carrots and peas with cajun spice. 4 people and not one of us finished the meal. It may be OK for meat eaters but if you are vegetarian, Avoid avoid avoid

Fantastic food, great flavours and amazing taste. Really quick service for the food, love Rojin and would highly recommend to anyone to try it. Fajitas are amazing and the Jambalaya is my personal favourite!

Ordered via online menu, called to place my order. Was told ‘cash only’, drives pay my bill and collect food to be told bill was over £10 more than their online menu said. When I asked why I was told bluntly that they don’t go with their online prices but more expensive prices. Staff member was rude and refuses to honour the prices on their website. So rude and will definitely not be back. So beware if you look at their online menu on their website! They will charge you more with no remorse, only saying they don’t go with these prices. Avoid Rojin! Oh and no receipt either!!!

Food here used to be great many years ago. Unfortunately it’s gone massively downhill. Very bland, greasy and over cheesy rubbery food. Should have realised what was to come when the chap working there was vaping in the kitchen.

Microwave reheated burito with more greaseproof paper per mouthful (why the paper??? It goes in polystyrene box!)

Lived and worked in Mexico....I LOVE mexican food....this was not even close to being pleasant. Covering everything in an excess of rubbery melted cheese does not a Mexican make. Veg chilli....1 taste...binned Chicken wings....1 bite...binned Flat mushrooms..... persevered.....3 bites....the grease meant ....binned Toast for tea 😔 Oh & they only take cash Nice enough staff though

Awful food. this was very very wrong. Poor attempt. My vegetable burrito contained a frozen veg mix with some tomato sauce. So bad I almost cried.

Been having takeaway from Rojin for years and years. Our favourites are the Chicken & Vegetable Arroz. The veggie Burrito is also lovely. Service is always pleasant and food on time. Can't comment on delivery as we always collect ourselves.

First-time visit, usually make my own Mexican food but too tired to cook. The food was ready when I arrived and the short journey home it was still hot once served and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. Thanks to the staff.

Right, hands up who's actually been to Mexico and eaten real Mexican food!! Not the cook from this place! I've spent weeks in Mexico on business and this is not Mexican food at all. Full of grease and not much flavour.

This is always good quality food cooked fresh to order using high quality ingredients. The owner and staff are extremely nice people too.

Disappointed in the meal, £8.50 for spicy lamb meatballs with rice and there were only 3 small balls. Chimichanga was flat, and not crispy at all. Also didn't get the "free 1.5ltr coke". More expensive take away than a Chinese or Indian and still free hungry so we won't be going back.

Didn't feel the take away represented good value for money. Spicey lamb meatballs with rice was £8.50 - only 3 small meatballs and chimichanga was flat and soggy. Still feel hungry so won't order again, shall opt for a Chinese or Indian in future.

I like the Rojin. I keep going back. It is not the highest cuisine. A lot of its fillings are pre cooked and reheated, But the flavour is still there, it's filling and it's not going to break the bank. My expectations for the cost has always been met.

I visit Rojin quite often for last 5 years. Food is always well cooked and seasoned, and well presented. I never had any issues with the quality. This is my place to go for comfort food as well to get a meal. Staff is always kind, polite and friendly. Best Mexican food takeaway, which I would highly recommend to anyone.

Always am meeted by cheery smiles from the staff of rojin, they know who you are and treat you as family. Food varies from amazing to ok depending on when ordering, order same thing and always slightly different, but i always enjoy it and come back.

The food was not what I expected. I was expecting authentic, flavourful Mexican food that was not smothered in cheese. It was very bland. The burritos did not contain refried beans as stated on the menu and instead they were soggy and clearly not grilled as described on the menu. much to my dismay the star ingredients of both the burritos and chimichangas were huge hard pieces of chicken and an excessive amount of sweetcorn. The food was was disappointing least to say. On a positive note the staff were friendly and nice.

If, when you order a burrito in a Mexican takeaway, you expect it to look and taste like a Mexican burrito, Rojin, I’m afraid, is not for you. If, however, your idea of a burrito is a wrap solely filled with frozen diced vegetables cooked in a spicy sauce and then smothered in cheese and grilled, then get ready to be happy. The refried beans which the menu assured me were a component of the Rojin veggie burrito were nowhere to be seen, alas. Maybe the other menu items are more authentic. I won’t be going back to find out.

Best Mexican food ever. Never had a bad meal.

Worst mexican i have ever had. Tried it once before and it was poor a few years back and thought i would give it another chance- big mistake. Opened at 5 and picked my order up at 5.30- thinking it would be freshly cooked, but i was wrong. The fries were soggy and the nachos were dreadful. If you can't do nachos properly we are in trouble. Chimmichanga was burnt, but actually tasted ok. Very disappointed and will not be going back for a third time.

We are always impressed with Rojin. They do have a tendency to use a little too much cheese sometimes, esoecially on their nachos.

Best Mexican Food I have ever tried!

The most flavoursome, amazing Mexican food I have had! Extremely great service and friendly staff! Mexican night was Brilliant.

Nice food, but I had to breakout the hot sauce because the spicy chimichanga was very mild. But like Indian takeaways they could be tailoring the spice level to their regulars

When you're looking forward to your Mexican takeaway from The Rojin Mexican in Rugby and it's basically a bag of frozen veg and a tub of salt wrapped in a tortilla, then when you complain the girl on the phone starts giving you attitude and calling you sweetheart! Think you need to read some of the reviews you've had 'sweetheart' Avoid at all costs!

First and last, basically a bag of frozen carrots and peas wrapped in a tortilla with a tub of salt in! Will never use again can't even eat it, i wouldn't even feed it the dog!

Food was hot and service good but the food was all bland and the vegetables all seemed soggy cooked from frozen.

Drove 24 miles from Kettering to have Mexican food from this place was very good the last time we went about 8 yrs ago but gone down hill since should of just eaten some road kill

We had beef burrito's, chicken and prawn arroz and curly fries. Great price. All were fresh and flavoursome and the staff are friendly. We'll be back

I'm glad it exists as Mexican food in England is hard to come by. I had a burrito served Texas style (no salad, smothered in cheese necessitating eating with utensils). I prefer California style (everything inside, can be eaten on the go, like a wrap).

Great tasting filling food. The thing that puts us off returning is that we were given a frozen pot of guacamole and didn't realise until we got home. We called the restaurant who advised us to microwave it. There probably isn't anything wrong with that - just a bit off putting. And we weren't given an apology.

Hugely expensive for stale bland food, beef loaded nachos £5 not one tortilla chip was whole, very stale bland chilli on tortilla chip crumbs chicken fajitas ok but for the price expect fresh lime juice instead of concentrated, enchilada reminded me of a ginsters pasty £1 Tesco

the best place I've been , as soon as I stepped one foot into this palace I new this would be legit . the way the good looking Turkish man looked at me made me feel ever so warm inside . and then I look to the left see lots of happy customers but not too many as it was a late night . I pulled my trousers up to my waist . comb my hair and was ready to be amazed . the chef or serve smelt like Mexico and it really made me drawl and want more bt my boss (tight git )only paid me a little amount but thankfully I was able to afford a nice meal due to there brilliant prices . it only took about 6 mins to come , and wen he said " yo g tings done "I was amazed and excited to be tasted .bngl it was Peng also my ex gal said that I cheated but I didn't do not in but the owner of the Mexican let me sleep at his house as I'm homeless and to this day I still live there ty sir . so over all ig its kinda good

Delicious food wonderful service

Ordered a takeway - not cheap and certainly overpriced based on what was provided. Clearly the fajitas were not freshly prepared, we basically got a tray of sloppy onions and peppers, that I can only assume were previously cooked and re-heated for my order. Dry and gristly chicken was on top. The salsa was ok, but the sour cream had curdled. The Jambolya was ok, but did not have much meat in it, and the wet fries were alot smaller than I remember them being. Overall, very disappointing and I will be steering clear from now on. (Shame Casa loco don't do takeaways).

Not so good. Been a while since been here but tonight 4 meals completely lacking in spicy description. Lacking also in japelenos which were meant to be 3 of our meals. Enchildas a real disappointment. Tasted like chicken and baked beans cause that's exactly all that was in it.

Ordered a meal for two that should have been £35 by their own menu on their own website got there to collect and they tried to charge me £39.90 rip off tried to blame just eat when it's from their own website that is wrong

Just popped in on a drive by, excellent service, food served within 10 minutes, a chimichanga and enchilada with curly fries! Very tasty. Huge amount. Can recommend.

We're actually quite lucky to have a mexican takeaway like this in town. Friends who visit me from other places always comment on how good this place is. Portion sizes are good and everything is always overloaded with cheese and meat which is exactly what I look for.

Great food and great service for a good value. Ordered as soon as they opened for collection and the order was ready within 15 mins. Gave it 4 stars on the basis that the burrito I had could do with a lot more filling but was still tasty!

if you are after a quick takeaway with reasonable food then here is great...it will never win awards but its good food in normally 10-15 min.....people working there very friendly and always remember me so i dont need to tell them what i am collecting, which makes a nice change :)

Your better off getting a ready meal. Terrible quality, poor flavour, very basic meals. Had a chimichanga, looked like a 3 day old greggs pasty.

This take away is generally very good and on my most recent visit the staff were friendly and the service very quick. They only take cash which is a shame.

This a regular for us as a family - it has a great menu, the food is always quick to come out and the portion sizes are ideal. It is nice to have a Mexican option for a takeaway and we've enjoy the food and service every time we order from here.

Eaten here quite literally since the week it opened, as it's 10 seconds walk from where we live. As a result we have ordered food from here regularly, have gone through pretty much everything on the menu, and can truthfully say in the years of eating here we've never received bad food or bad customer serviceFood is always piping hot, Curly fries are too die for and it's not too expensive either.Is it the most authentic Mexican food i've ever eaten? No.But the food has always been good, staff have always been friendly and you cannot fault the portions nor the delivery times.

have been getting takeaway from here for years...never seem to get same ingredients in the same dish and levels of spice vary..might depend on the chef perhaps. i still go back as its different to other takeaways perhaps ill try another meal, but i do like the chicken arroz when its done properly

Would not deliver as we were a mile outside town, but still 3 miles closer to the shop than Long Lawford where they will deliver. So I collected the greasy bland rubbish they serve and now I'm 18 quid down, got a trail of grease leading through my house and an empty belly. Is Rojin Spanish for 'snipe'?

We regularly get takeaway from here. Very good food, good value. Not really much more I can say. Trying to make it up to 100 characters.

We occasionally get a takeaway and our recent experience was OK. We made a telephone order. The food was prepared quickly and was piping hot.They don't take cards which can be inconvenient, especially if you forget.I will use them again.

I am really shocked to see such negative comments about Rojin. We have been a customer for many years and have never had a bad meal!.. the food is lush, delivered to your do too for a tiny fee.... its so nice to have something other than chinese/indian.... Really lovely food. Give it a whirl!! :)
