Riverdale Barn is an awesome venue for weddings. It has a unique charm that we don't think you can find anywhere else in Northern Ireland. We'd highly recommend River Barn and we can't wait to photograph another wedding here in the future! @HoneyAndTheMoonPhotography

Attended a wedding there and it was absolutely fantastic. Area is beautiful. Able to collect the car in the morning. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

This is the most beautiful place for a wedding. Our daughter had her wedding here and it was such an amazing place. Everything from the ceremony room to the reception room to the stunning grounds was on point. The owners should be very proud because they organised a brilliant day. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. All of these added together made for a fantastic day

We attended a humanist wedding ceremony and reception in glorious sunshine. The venue was idyllic with plenty of space. The meal was a delicious hog roast though as usual at such venues the bar was expensive. The band was excellent.

My niece had her wedding here a couple of weeks ago. She had tried to book from a year ago and they are fully booked each weekend. The setting is gorgeous. One large room with an open fire for the wedding with pretty chairs, beautifully laid out for the ceremont, could have seated over 100 easily. Then a covered area between that barn and the dining barn, beside a small bar. Drinks were a little pricey though. Outside by the lake for photos was idyllic. There is a separate bathroom for the bridal party. Just could not have been better. Next morning David and his crew had tidied up so that it was easy to pick up everything within half an hour. That's why they are booked all year! I would suggest heaters in the covered area between the two barns. Gonna be cold for winter weddings...

All the staff were friendly polite and nothing was too much trouble. The Barn was clean and warm, maybe a few more toilets,. The meal was lovely and a bbq in the evening.

Attended a wedding at the Riverdale recently and it could not have been better. Staff were excellent and very attentive. Venue is very picturesque and there are plenty of photo opportunities. The option of sweet appetizers was an interesting start and the cup of tea a life saver. It was going to be a long day!! Some complaints about the price of drinks but you could get a pint of lager of beer for less than £4.00. Cheaper than the south of England. Hog roast for the meal was just right with the plenty of salads and vegetable to accompany the main. Good selection of puddings. All brought together in a tastefully decorated room. Later there was a buffet which most people needed after dancing to 'Hair of the Dawg'. By the way, the band were brilliant and got everyone on their feet. Let's not forget the DJ who had the unenviable job of following the band. He got the music right and we all danced until 1.15!! Can't comment on the price as was a guest but it is good value from a guests point of view.

What a beautiful venue. It was perfect from start to finish. Food was lovely. Staff were fantastic. And scenery was outstanding.

We hosted our wedding at Riverdale Barn just over a week ago, it was a dream day in a dream location. Thank you to Susie for dealing with any queries along the way and thank you to Davy for creating such a fantastic venue and for being a perfect host on the day! We used posh nosh as our caterers and the combination was amazing.

I was DJ'ing at this venue for a Wedding,it was my first time playing at the venue. On arrival I was stunned by how beautiful it was and how quirky it was for a wedding. On entering the barn I met David who owns the premises,one of life's gentlemen. He provided us with dinner whilst we waited for the guests to fish their meal. A hog roast amongst a range of other meats where on offer,salads etc it really was an amazing spread of food. The many guests I had spoke to had said how delicious the food was and how the service was top class. Thanks to David and his team and I look forward to my next visit.

I can only hope Oonagh Mulholland sees this! We booked our wedding here over a year ago! Since then oonagh has been nothing short of abysmal! Truly terrible customer service ranging from not knowing we had even paid a deposit/not having a clue about the details of our wedding despite writing them down/not replying to emails for months at a time/not showing up to appointments and basically not giving two hoots about the wedding! The cherry on the cake came just a few months till our wedding when I get an email stating her and the caterers no longer work with riverdale and the only advice she could give was to hire new caterers. Having only told the owner of the barn hours before we got this uncaring email. Never in my life have I ever came in contact with a woman that needs a personality transplant as much as this woman! It can only be a good thing that she is no longer working with the barn! Hopefully the new wedding coordinator will bring a bit of fresh air to the barn..but let's faced it anyone would be better than this woman. The reason for the three stars is that the owner of the barn Davy has been great in the process and actually takes an interest in his business and has assured me he is working on things!

We were at a wedding here yesterday and the price of alcohol was extortionate. One of the barmen just counted the price in his head and came up with a figure of £40. Same round of drinks later from another was £34. Heard others talking about the cost as well. Wedding meal was beautiful but you need to keep check on how much you are charged for alcohol

We organised a viewing of the barn as a potential wedding venue but Oonagh failed to show. The owner was luckily there but was unaware he was supposed to show us around and he couldn't tell us any info. He said we should have emailed any qs. They did not give us any faith that they could smoothly organise a wedding.

My sister recently got engaged and contacted the staff at Riverdale Barn by email to request a brochure, now bare in mind the wedding will be in October so we are in a hurry to book a venue!! When she contacted them by email there was no response after 4 days, with the time crunch in mind she contacted the team by phone to request the brochure again but was greeted by an abrupt answer of 'just email us' and was then informed they were busy. I work within an industry that is continually busy too but any customer is potential business and being rude and abrupt is not acceptable. I'm not saying avoid the barn because I'm sure its lovely but just approach with caution or make sure to use your trusty crystal ball before calling...you wouldn't want to annoy them.

We held our wedding reception in Riverdale Barn and it was amazing! Throughout the preparations, nothing was too much trouble and Oonagh and Davy were so accommodating. The barns and the outdoor areas are stunning and make wonderful backdrops for photos especially the stepping stones and waterwheel! The food prepared by Diane and co was fantastic and got rave reviews from all our guests. They went above and beyond by getting dairy free ice cream for our little nephew, which was much appreciated! I could wax lyrical about our experience at Riverdale (and have done on many occasions since). I just want to now be invited to a wedding there so I can enjoy it all over again!!

My fiancé and I are planning our wedding from England. We found photos of this venue online and thought that we had found our perfect venue. We contacted the barn to arrange a viewing, making it clear that we were coming from England for this. After multiple emails we arranged a convenient time. However, at arriving at the farm we initially found it empty. Then the owner came but was unaware that he should be showing us around - the wedding coordinator had failed to tell him! It was lucky he happened to be there at all. When we did get in we found a smelly, empty barn. The man did not know the answer to any questions and told us we should have emailed them. He could tell us no information and said we should have emailed to ask for the brochure with details. If they had a wedding 2 days later as he said he did, surely they should have told us to come then so we could see it all done up nicely. If these people can not arrange a viewing I don't think anyone would want them organising their wedding. Certainly not us.

Enjoyed a wedding meal here recently. Quaint surroundings with plenty of space to walk around and enjoy the scenery. Meal was very good and service etc very good also. Well done to all concerned.

I attended a wedding here yesterday. Not knowing what to expect but having read the previous review I was quite excited to see the venue. It did not disappoint in fact it went far and beyond expectations. The venue itself is beautiful. Really well looked after and clean. The toilets were immaculate with little extra touches like Nivea deodorant, body spray, tissues, painkillers etc. The ambience was fabulous. Now the food. I cannot describe how impressed I was with the food. It was possibly one of the nicest meals I have had out never mind at a large wedding! 5/5 is the only possible score for the riverdale barn. Well done to all the staff who put so much effort into such a great place

Never heard of The Riverdale Barn when the wedding invitation arrived. Its about 20 minutes from Belfast and not far from Lurgan town and Lough Neagh.We attended the wedding yesterday and I have to say the venue is unique and visually stunning with landscaped gardens, a pond and stream running through it. Among its woods the is even an area to hold the wedding ceremony, but alas with the uncertain weather conditions yesterday Sara & Michael wisely chose to be married in one of the barns.The venue is made up of a series of restored barns which exude an abundance of rustic charm, A fantastic choice to hold a wedding. The Riverdale staff were very friendly and ultra helpful. The food was very nice indeed as was the late night BBQ. The only thing this place needs is on site accommodation. Cant wait to re visit.
