Red Café at Old Trafford in Trafford

An ok place, normal food, and way overpriced. We paid a fortune to watch a game and bought The Red Cafe package but it was disappointing.

Have been there twice now. Had lunch here last month and breakfast in November last year. Both meals were nice and good sized portions. Service was good and the prices not too bad. You get discount if you have an official club membership too. The decor and theming is very good , love the chair designs! Will definitely return.

Café is divided in two with a place for eating and a place for drinks and snacks. You can watch Man U. matches live. Friendly workers.

We visited the Red Cafe last Saturday having pre booked a table on line and requested to be seated by a window. Upon arrival we were promptly taken to our table which met with our request. From this point the service by the various members of staff that attended our table was perfect. They were all courteous and very efficient in attending to all our requests. The food was absolutely delicious and generous in portion size. I would also like to say many thanks to Jane McDonagh, the Red Cafe Supervisor, who visited our table during our stay to make sure everything was satisfactory which it was. We will definitely be returning at some point in the future

After doing the museum and stadium tour which was excellent we had a very disappointing meal in the red cafe. Sorry, united, I love this club, but the food here was very poor for what you pay. We had the garlic bread and halloumi starters to share which to be fair was the best part of the meal, but the fish & chips had to be the worst fish & chips we have ever had...very greasy and the chips were not chunky as advertised. There must have been a table spoon of mushy peas, and the hot chocolate was almost half a mug(in a very smart mug, though) All in all we were very disappointed with the quality of food and couldn't help thinking that it's such a shame for all the foreign visiters leaving here thinking this is the standard of one of our national dishes. Not good enough!

The service was slow even when the place was almost empty. No one was stationed at front desk and there was a queue there because of it. I stood there for a good 5 minutes and went in by myself because I was so confused if anyone was coming. After going in I realised I didn’t take the menu so I went to the front desk to take it and that was when someone finally noticed me. I was told to stand outside again, but this time, a queue had formed because nobody was there to get them to the table in the first place. Quite funny because I was already seated somewhere and my stuff was all there so I had to redo that process over again 😂 After being seated, I overheard that the table the next to me had waited for an hour for their food till they missed their tour timings. Luckily the management slotted them into the next available time-slot.

Disappointing Experience with Employee Ali I recently visited [Red Cafe] and had an unfortunate experience with an employee named Ali. He was very rude and arrogant he made me feel unwelcome. It’s disheartening to encounter such poor customer service, especially when I was excited to shop at this establishment.

We booked the Gameday hospitality package at red Café, and were pleasantly surprised by the amazing experience. Both Ella and Mimi went out of their way to ensure that we had everything we needed and enjoyed every moment of our time there. We had a full lunch with appetizer and dessert. The food was delicious hot and serve very quickly. The atmosphere was fun entertainment was engaging. Overall I would highly recommend this experience to anyone coming to old Trafford to see the game.

After we went through museum & stadium tour then we come here. The places are for real fans atmosphere. Food portion are so big but don’t expected too much for the taste which for me feel below standard. There are Fish tips left in my fish and that show the quality for this dish.

We attended the stadium tour and then decided to have lunch at the Red Cafe. The food was delicious and the servings were also a very good size. The service at the cafe was excellent, Ali looked after us very well and he went the extra mile to make our visit enjoyable.

Ali and Jamal provided excellent service and made us feel at home- really happy with the offering of Halal food and would come to eat here again

Do not eat here! My fish and chips smelt like it had been cooked in acetone. We also got pizza and it was tasteless and stodgy. Very poor experience over all. We did the tour afterwards and it was excellent.

If there’s more than five star i would give them, the manager of the cafe was so helpful, they took into consideration that am a muslim and wearing Hijab 🧕 first they brought to our attention that the fish and chips batters has beer in it and she checked if they can make it with no beer and they managed to do it. We Visited the Red Cafe today (Sunday)and had a fantastic experience thanks to Ali our waiter. He was so helpful and friendly the food was fabulous we had the breakfast and all at a reasonable price but a big shout out for Ali he made it so much better.Excellent service 10/10 Ali we will definitely be coming back.

We made a family visit to the red cafe 04/05/2024 at about 11:15am and an incident occured while returning to our seat. While allowing my daughter to slide across the seat, I was stood in the isle and after the waiter impatiently said 'excuse me' he then proceeded to shove me in the back in order to get past. I challenged the waiter who then denied he'd done anything. This is typical passive aggressive behaviour when somebody acts inappropriately and then pretends it didn't occur once they're confronted. Normal behaviour would be have been to wait 2 seconds for me to move. A complaint was made to the manager and again the waiter appeared from the kitchen and raised his voice across the restaurant in an argumentative and aggressive way. The waiter eventually gave a disgruntled half-apology which was not accepted. I appreciate this waiter was 17/18, untrained and inexperienced but there is no excuse for this behaviour in what is a global, family-orientated football club cafe. The manager who can't control his staff, suggested the staff member would be sent home, but I have no confidence any action would be taken and they'll be keen to minimise the general awareness of this type of incident in their restaurant. This is the worst experience ever had in any type of hospitality, and we won't ever be visiting the Red Cafe again.

Due to one male employee, the restaurant is remembered as the worst. His rude attitude towards foreign guests, mocking their English proficiency, and openly laughing with other patrons was extremely discourteous. While the other female staff were kind… it’s truly disappointing. It tarnished the image of the entire Manchester area. As a long-time supporter of Manchester United, visiting the restaurant was a first-hand disappointment, turning cherished memories into the worst experiences. It seems the restaurant staff are in dire need of retraining. It’s unbelievable to have such disrespectful employees in a restaurant within the top club…

Food was nice at a decent price, the staff were very friendly, food was served in around 20 minutes, staff provided pictures and pencils for children to colour and the kids loved sitting in the Ronaldo chair.

We took our children today for my sons birthday, the staff were amazing, especially Peter. He went above and beyond to make the occasion special for my son. The food was really good and I would highly recommend. Thank you Peter for helping make my little boys birthday a day he'll never forget

Extremely poor management, non apologetic for delaying us >30mins to even acknowledge that our order was not given to us, we had to follow up. This is after we had clearly mentioned we have a tour soon and they promised it would take about 15mins for a chips and fried chicken order. People around us were all served pizzas and repeat orders despite arriving way after us. Expected better from them. Won’t recommend.

Visited on a non-game day. The portions were quite large. Had the club sandwich which was good, chicken slightly on the dry side. The service was attentive and friendly, although there were on two tables in the cafe. Would be happy to go again

Our first time here for breakfast, Ali looked after us. He was very friendly, attentive and made sure we were well looked after. The vegetarian breakfast was hearty and reasonably priced. Will be coming back to try the lunch menu 👍🏽

Our second time here and it didn't disappoint, Kenneth took very good care of us and so did Ali and the rest of the team, the food arrived quickly and tasted great. The staff were very attentive and polite, we will be back again soon, thank you so much for a wonderful dining experience. Beating Fulham was a nice finish to the afternoon (plenty of screens to keep an eye on the game).

Angel was great , food yesterday's roasts ,veg was almost soup more liquid than al dente. Chocolate fountain dark bitter chocolate 🍫 my son was not amused. Questioned by a random member of staff . Fish and chip portion looks huge but this is the worse fish and chip I have eaten in my life. The fish is tasteless and oily. It’s just as bad as Eric Ten Haag this season LOL

Most staff friendly enough. Food came out fairly fast but had to ask for children's menu (we had a child in a pushchair with us), the drinks menu (there were just a few drinks on the main menu) and then crayons to use with kids menu. A bit frustrating that we kept having to ask for things and that they weren't offered. The child's portion was huge.

Cafe is nice place to get a quick bite to eat and drink while waiting for your tour to start. Place is clean and tidy and staff are polite and friendly.

This was great it was less expensive than I thought I came into contact with 5 members of staff 4 of them was pleasant and helpful one not so much but they might of been having a bad day

While the hotel football was excellent, the cafe at the stadium was extremely disappointing. We were asked if we had a reservation and then asked to come back after 15 mins....when we could see plenty of empty tables. After we spent time sitting outside we came back.....same number of tables empty....same questions asked...and when we mentioned that we were asked to come back in 15 mins.....we were seated. Food was ok. Wrap, soup and salad were fine..however the chickpea and sweet potato curry had EXACTLY 2 chickpeas. But what sealed this score.....there was no silverware provided...and when we asked for it....what was provided was dirty soiled silverware. Definitely upset after the great stadium tour and wonderful stay at the hotel.

So you're going to pay for the name. Because you're eating inside old Trafford the price reflects that, with £15 for a chicken burger and chips. More than you'd pay on the high street unless you are going to go to somewhere like a nandos.

Pathetic is not a word for the manager. The one who is grey jersey lacks humility and customer service. instead of accepting the fault, he blames the customer for the wobbling table and coffee spilling Preset menu for tour some things were excluded which was not informed there is communication

Porridge was massive and toast and jam was good, coffee was lovely to thanks!

The breakfast was top class, wish they could call it the fergie scots breakfast with a toast imprint of himself.

This experience was amazing, especially because it was my first time at Old Trafford. The food was good but the service was what was best, our waiter was amazing because he kept refilling our plates and drinks even without asking. The free compensation with the matchday program, scarf and beanie was amazing. When they brought in a special guest who had played from united in the past, we had Stuart Pearson for the pre-game one, he was amazing and he came to each table offering a chat, autograph and photos. He was a great guy. They also brought out the mascot Fred the red, and they did a raffle and a quiz. After the game they refilled our drinks and brought out Shrimp, spring rolls, pie and some cake...all were amazing. They had another guest who played for united which was keeper Alex Stepney who was also a great guy. This experience was amazing and I'd recommend this to anyone for their first time at ot

We had a lovely experience at the café. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind, going out of their way to accommodate my fussy wife, who's veggie. We got the meal included in the stadium tour, and even though it didn't include the whole menu of the café, it had a good bunch of choices that were definitely worth more than the price we paid. I recommend the place!

I've given this an overall score of 3 stars & this was basically because of the staff ,who were very nice.However,the cafe itself had no atmosphere & looked very 'tired' & the food was totally overpriced.Won't be returning.

Cafe was quite as early morning. Well set out, friendly staff and good service. Just had a coffee and cake.

If you don't like MUFC you are not going to like this place, but my 6yr old does and he did. The food was tasty and hot and the service was prompt and very pleasant.

As big Red we typically visit here annually for a birthday treat and it's always been top class and a hidden gem. If you think about all of the match day chefs on hand, going on a non match day means the food is fantastic. Unfortunately on our last visit the service was mid-table. We were forgotten about after the main meal was served. The refillable drink may as well not been advertised as such and I had to interrupt staff talking to ask for the children's ice cream and again when we were finished and wanted to pay. Also please update Rashfords chair number to number 10.

Incredible hospitality from all team, especially from manager Ali! We visited this cafe with my friends yesterday for the breakfast, and left the place fulfilled with great feelings!

Staff amazing very friendly so helpful nothing was too much trouble. Can tell they actually want to be there and provide a good service to customers. Went above and beyond just serving; made conversation and made the experience brilliant all round great end to the tour. Even got complimentary coffee as we were freezing . Walked in for brunch, staff in the main restaurant really friendly. We ordered a starter, which came along with our main meals. - wasn’t great as they are such large portions and would have preferably had this separately. We then decided to grab some cookies from the front counter to take away, we had to wait while there was three members of staff at this counter, one which said there will be someone with us as soon as possible whereas the other two people were standing chatting. Finally someone came over and asked us what we’d like, they never listened properly and was not really happy about serving us. Other than that, was good to experience the stadium and can say we have been there.

A must-go for all football fans. There were not much customers in breakfast time, because visitors usually dash to the museum then the cafe. You can avoid the crowd and enjoy the food without pressure if you go early. Food was hot and delicious.

Ended up here after searching around for somewhere to charge my phone I was struggling and then Jane (sorry if I spelt that wrong) stepped in and saved the day , she helped me charge my phone in time for my tour around the stadium with my son , then we went for a meal at the cafe and she arranged a table with a charging port so I could use my phone for sat nav to use to get home after the meal , the meal was very nice and the other staff were great too but Jane went above and beyond to make mine and my sons experience unforgettable and I can’t thank her enough what a legend ! Brilliant experience and would recommend ,me and my son can’t thank you enough ! .Carl and josh .

Very long wait time. Alot of staff but not much organisation and the food was mediocre for the price. Woman on the door was fantastic though really good with my 4 year old who was having a good old tantrum

Really bad experience. They kept us waiting for an hour. The servers were incredibly rude. Didn’t even apologise for the delay. In the end, we had to leave as we were getting late for a train.

Unfortunately they closes to early that I couldn’t get a table for coffee and food around 3:30pm. But the coffee and service was good, can’t complain.

Good quality food with views of the outside of Old Trafford.

Considering how busy this cafe is, the customer service is outstanding! We were seated, shortly after our order was taken, drinks were with us within the next 5 mins and we had our meal around 20 minutes later. Really enjoyed our meal, Loved every minute at Manchester will definitely come for lunch in the red cafe when we are up next :D Da aiwn staff .

Had my birthday dinner there today, waiter was fabulous, I am celiac gluten free he was amazing and guided us through the menu options, the food was top class. After dinner he bought over a gluten free cake strawberrys and cherry’s with a lit candle for my birthday what a lovely touch made my day ❤️

Wandered in for a sit down and a coffee after doing the museum tour. Nice ambience for Manchester United fans, with nostalgic artwork and decor all over the place. Coffee was ok, kids enjoyed their hot chocolate. Servers were friendly enough. They made an extra hot chocolate by accident and then disposed of it, which seemed a bit wasteful to me. I didn't try anything else on the menu as it was just a brief stop to rest our legs. I did see a few people having a beer, so it has a licensed bar.
