Rasoi Cottage in Redditch

How does this place have good reviews? First time ordering from here and I had high hopes based on the reviews. Food was absolutely awful, it was nothing but onions, no sauce or flavour. Ended up with food poisoning! It would have been cheaper and safer for me to chew on an onion. Awful. Just really awful. Save your money and avoid this place I beg you.

I have been on the look out for a new, local Indian takeaway place and so glad I discovered Rasoi! It's always a gamble when trying somewhere new but it was a gamble that paid off. The location is great, just outside of the busy town centre, plenty of parking in a relatively quiet place and very easy to find. The guy that served me was really friendly and service was super speedy! The food though, is the main reason for me taking the time to write this review. The rice was fluffy, well separated and packed full of flavour. The chicken pathia was absolutely sublime. Often, I have been disappointed by other places for creating their pathia too sweet, with no spice. Rasoi Cottage have kept the promise a pathia should offer - a kick of spice after the sweet/sour. The chicken was also tender and plentiful. The naan too, I couldn't fault. The price is also reasonable and the food is worth every penny. Looking forward to going again.

Always great service and great food

First time having a curry from here after it had been recommended to me, i literally couldn’t fault it, quick delivery, food arrived hot and was absolutely beautiful

Special Thanks to the owner of this lovely restaurant to let us eat in. We came to help someone move in evesham and there were very few indian restaurants nearby. The food here was super delicious and they even served us CHAI. Wishing u guys the very best and once again thanks to all the staff for their amazing service.

Friendly staffs and a great authentic food

Tried ripping me off. The meal was priced at £24 I gave the delivery guy £40 and he gave me £6 change and walked off until I quickly noticed and went back to his car. Do you think I didn’t do maths at school!! On top of that rather than knock my front door or call my phone the delivery driver decides to open my back garden gate and just walk in. Very rude and inappropriate.

I’m sorry, it’s with a heavy heart that I have to say this was the worst curry that I have ever had from you guys….i ordered for myself and a friend so was at a different address x

From the moment I clicked order (I’m not from the area) I had a phone call checking I had the right place. And confirmed the order. On pick up. I waited in the car and the food was brought out with a smile. Great service all round and by far the best curry in Redditch!!

Having had great food previously, we were really looking forward to our takeaway. Unfortunately, tonight, it was a little disappointing pakora batter had no crunch, they were just soft, only 3 bajhi instead of the advertised 4 so two of us had to share, although all the sauces in the mains were nice, everyone's chicken was a little tough. Food was overall fine, just not as good as on previous visits.

Great service, always with a smile. The whole family enjoys the tikka masala and special rice 😊 love too that they'll tailor the spice level to your liking on request meaning our last chicken bhuna was cooked to perfection. And for the veggie lovers the sag paneer is spot on. Kudos to the friendly staff who work there. Ps. We don't use the delivery apps we always phone for a collection.

Do NOT order delivery. Ordered at 18.11 with an hour wait via food hub. At 19.20 we phoned asking where the food was and were told he had left a couple of minutes previously. 2 hours later and the food hasn't arrived. You don't expect to wait 2 hours to eat a takeaway with your children. This has also happened on a previous occasion that I hoped was a one off and the order was also incorrect. Shame, because we didn't mind the food but the delivery needs to be improved if you want to keep customers. A few free poppadoms and 2.72 off your order doesn't cut it.

First time using this place , not the best but not the worst. , won’t be rushing back. Cracking keema and garlic Naan to be fair but curry very average.(chicken chilli garlic)

Nicest balti I have ever had and portion sizes are amazing. Lovely service from the owners. Highly recommend and this is my new go to curry hose.

Rasoi cottage is an amazing place the food is fabulous the staff are very friendly and professional

We ordered just before 6pm, the food took 1.5hrs to be dispatched - the delivery driver then had a puncture which added an extra 30 mins, so a 2 hr wait in total. Naan breads were missing, I was offered a credit which I refused and am still waiting for the manager to call back to arrange a refund. The kids enjoyed the chicken korma but the rest of the food was very bland for adults. Really disappointed.

The food is cooked to a brilliant standard and the service is good they don't take too long preparing your food I love this place

They no longer have a restaurant and only do take away. We have never had a bad meal from this place. Highly recommended

Chappati and Naan were hard! Chips were soggy and poppadoms were also stale. Bryani and Pakora were tasty.

Unfortunately as a regular customer, after tonight we will not return here. Placing an order at 6.30pm, with ETA of 7.30pm. Food arriving at 20.41. Politely called the restaurant twice to ask what is going on with our order to be told 10mins and waiting another 40mins. Delivery arrived and the driver didn’t even apologise and when i expressed how disappointed i was with the customer service we’ve received today he said “ok” no apology or compensation. We have enjoyed food from here for a while, but customer service is equally important and for that, we won’t return. Maybe practise looking after customers for future reference.

1st time delivery, very good value for money food excellent and delivered on time. Will order again, and probably book to dine in soon. Plus king prawns were king prawns, and not just one or two.

If it’s value for money you want, then this is the place to go. The food and service is great. Staff are friendly and are happy to assist if required. I have tried several places but the rasoi always comes out as number 1. Well done 👏👏

You can’t go wrong here for Saturday night curry.. Very tasty and not as expensive as some others in Redditch. Plus you get free popadoms bit of sauce and onion salad. Portion sizes are generous I had a chicken dish plenty of chicken and very tender..

I’m thinking this is the best Indian food around. Been a regular (Friday evening collect) for some months now. The menu is vast and offers loads of choices. This week I have had friends up from Somerset and relatives from Zurich to stay. We had a great selection of food to enjoy. Our friends and relatives thought it was the best Indian food they have had. The staff are so helpful and will happily give advice on their dishes. Great food, and great staff.

What can I say ?? Ordered a takeaway from the Rasoi for visiting friends and family and to say it was amazing is an understatement. The food is to die for , a little wait for food from time of order but as I am a believer "good things come to those who wait " and we weren't disappointed Service , taste and price were all first class

I tried to book a table as we had heard about this place many times. However they closed the restaurant in 2020. Only does online food, so it can’t be your no. 1 in Redditch as a restaurant. Also their website doesn’t mention the fact they are closed to diners…..

At last an Indian Restaurant that tastes authentic . Was weaned onto curries in the Balti Triangle. Since moving to REDDITCH almost 40 years ago , most curries taste and look like lumpy gravy covered in unblended spices. Recently recommended to me the Rasoli Cottage...

Really nice food and they worked really hard to ensure that one of the meals was gluten free and bagged separately (their suggestion) to avoid cross contamination. Very friendly and always so helpful.

Had a takeaway after reading the reviews. Chicken dupiaza and plain naan. The dupiaza was so disappointing it was tasteless no spice to it and chicken dry and tough.

After reviewing peoples experiences at the Rasoi Cottage we decided to order the chicken and mushroom balti, garlic naan and pilau riceWhat we didn't expect is how tasteless both our dishes were, very watery, and the chicken was over cooked and added in after. Even the naan bread was doughy lacking any resemblance of a decent garlic naan, the rice was poor and not the normal vibrant colourful pilau rice should be.Our overall experience was extremely dissapointing after spending over £30.00 and 45 minutes late !!!Originally from B,ham, perhaps we have been spoilt:)

I ordered from Rasoi cottage but through Deliveroo, I wish I hadn’t now, I should have gone to them direct because Deliveroo had me waiting for 1hr and 20 minutes for my order, then cancelled it without telling me. I called Rasoi and explained what had happened, the customer service they gave me was amazing, they offered to use their own driver to deliver my food and they offered it to me half price, not only that but they added a few extras to the meal as well! Outstanding, really made my day. Thank you Ru and the Rasoi family
