What a great place, Views across the golf course, and very peaceful. Warm welcome from all staff, including Tony Tobin. The food was very tasty. great birthday treat.

Having read the various online reviews about how wonderful the Ranmore was, we were really looking forward to going there. But having been to the restaurant then revisiting the reviews, most of them seem to be about Sunday lunch at £36 for 3 courses and how excellent it was. Now the cynical in me was wondering how many of these reviews are from Reigate Heath Golf Club members, with a discount like most golf club members get, making sure their restaurant gets a high profile to support it. So we arrived at 19.30 hrs on a Friday night, it was dark and there were no outside lights to guide us across from the parking to the golf club. For the ladies in high heels walking across a dirt driveway this doesn’t start your evening off well. So up the narrow staircase we went into a pleasant restaurant. But rather odd as there are still glass Covid screens in place, not very nice. We overlooked the plastic flowers and the battery lights that were only turned on at the 4 table bookings on that Friday night. So a total of 10 people booked on a Friday night, diners are obviously voting with their feet! We had 3 courses, both started with the Lobster, Salmon and White Crabmeat Scotch Egg at £14.00, then my better half had the Tender Roast Fillet of Lamb £33, while I had the Pan Roasted Halibut £32 and to finish we had 2 desserts, washed down with only 3 glasses of house wine and no coffees. The service was friendly, but not very elegant. The bill came to £176! The food was ok, nothing special, but not worth £176. Ridiculously expensive; we wouldn’t go there again and more importantly if anyone asked us we wouldn’t recommend going there either.

I used to visit the dining room in Reigate a lot. Since it closed there have been few fine dining restaurants to match it. I am so glad I have found Ranmore ! I booked last minute on a Saturday night and loved the food. We even ordered 2 starters. Lovely location, delicious food. Attentive staff. All 5 stars. .

I visited this restaurant at Reigate Heath Golf Club for Sunday lunch and was blown away by the unexpectedly high quality of its food. The chef has a very good name and reputation. The fried torpedo prawns were delicious, and the roast beef was tender, tasty and plentiful. At £28 for two courses it may be pricier than pub grub down the local, but the views, decor, presentation, staff and food quality make the this a fine dining experience as opposed to just an eating experience.

2nd visit to this wonderful place food and service was fantastic ...if you havnt tried it you must ...Great value. Great setting.

We have had a wonderful family lunch for 8 today and our expectations were exceeded. From the warm welcome by the wonderful waiting staff to the food which was not only very tasty and beautifully presented but generous portions for such fine dining. So happy to have found this gem!

We were a party of 13 including some vegetarians and vegans. The staff were extremely helpful and so everyone got what they wanted. I had chickpea+ croquette, followed by roast lamb both of which were delicious. As others have mentioned the views are stunning even on a very wet day(even better when the sun came out). Lovely ambience and attentive staff.

We booked for an adult family Sunday lunchtime meal and we were really pleased with our choice of venue. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Staff were really helpful and views from the restaurant were fabulous. Prices were extremely reasonable given the quality and ambiance. Will definitely return.

This is fine dining at its best! Outstanding flavours and presentation with sensibly sized portions. The scallops were incredible as was the halibut whilst the other dishes of family were equally as brilliant. Mouthwatering desserts finished the meal. The service was excellent, attentive but not overpowering. We were informed before our reservation that we were the only booking on that evening but this didnt spoil the birthday celebration. High end pricing but worth every penny.!

We have tried Sunday lunch at various places near where we live, so Dorking, Mickelham, Ashtead and Leatherhead - Ranmore restaurant beats them all. Superb setting, lovely staff and amazing food.

Ranmore is one of our favourite restaurants we have always had wonderful attentive service and superb food. We visited for Sunday Lunch and as usual were not disappointed. Ranmore is in a fabulous location with fantastic views and we were blessed with great weather. If you are going to go soon be aware there is a diversion in place in the road leading to the club so allow extra time. The Sunday lunch is very good value too the quality of the food is outstanding and there is never any rush so you can relax and really enjoy your meal. The Scallops were especially delicious we will return.

Second visit and just as good as the first. Delicious food and great personal service. It’s great to have a quality restaurant offering a personal fine dining experience in Reigate. It may be tucked away above a golf club, but don’t let that deceive you, you won’t be disappointed.

We were so pleased to have decided to celebrate with friends at Ranmores at Reigate Heath Golf Club. Their 2/3 course Xmas Menu is terrific. The Escalope of Turkey dish is a delight although all other choices are equally mouth watering. Great to find a restaurant that is definitely a ‘step up’ in quality from all other local establishments.

Thank you for a wonderful start to our Christmas celebrations. Our group throughly enjoyed our Christmas lunch at Ranmore. All our selections were absolutely delicious & excellent value. The Turkey was perfect, only hope I come anywhere close to replicating it on Christmas Day! All the courses were amazing but I must say Ranmore always excels with its desserts, so often a bit of a tired selection of the same old same old at other restaurants but not here. The orange & pistachio sponge was divine, light, moist & packed with flavour, save some space for pud! As ever the service was exceptional & it was lovely to visit during the day to take full advantage of the beautiful views.

Friends suggested we try Ranmore a few weeks back. It was a lovely thought to get dressed up and try somewhere new but oh dear ….. We arrived in a large, unmade up, dark car park without any lighting. Us ladies jumped out of the car in our high heels only to stumble from rock to rock under our feet in a dark very uneven, undulating car park to a path. Once on the path there was no signage as to the way in and we ended up around the back of the clubhouse asking a young man who was sitting out there smoking. He directed us to the door in. Once inside, yet again there was no signage as to where Ranmore was located and we ended up walking around the downstairs of a mediocre golf club. Eventually we tried a set of stairs and found the restaurant at the top. By this time we were all somewhat exhausted and less enchanted than we had been at the start. Once inside the restaurant, everyone was extremely polite, efficient and helpful. The food was very good. We had looked at the menus prior to arriving so knew it was going to be expensive but hadn’t bargained on £10.50 for a dessert that was no more than two balls of sorbet with a couple of squares of white chocolate and some fancy decorative dribbles and very expensive wines. All in all we all came away feeling very disappointed and slightly ripped off by our sub standard experience. Such a shame as the restaurant staff were so lovely.
