Food was ordered and arrived quickly. While waiting the chef was seen to be vaping in the kitchen and blowing vapour out over the front counter. When the food arrived Same chef was seen placing some stuff in the bin and then use hands to press down. Then used his foot. After doing this he continued to cook chips. Without washing hands. Overall food was tasty however as you would expect this tainted the experience.

After being let down by a badly run chippy in Dungannon where the staff have zero manners I rang Rainbow at 4.20pm and asked when they closed and if we could sit in. The man on the phone said they closed at 5.00pm but to come over and he would get us sorted. We arrived at 4.45pm and the place was buzzing. We sad down, ordered our food and had a fabulous meal, the fish supper was to die for, great. Best of all was the service, some contrast from Landis, top quality, that’s our new Christmas Eve chipper… thanks.

I always stop at the Rainbow on my way to Dublin and it never disappoints. Huge portions, unbelievable homemade chips and the best value sit in menu you will ever come across. Can’t wait to be able to sit in again. Steak baguettes are out of this world, as are the chicken wraps. Not your average chippy that’s for sure.

Brought my friend out to cheer her up and I ordered a small sliced chicken supper which I've had before so had specially requested the small one, when I enjoyed my small sliced chicken supper but my friend cut into her fish supper to which the grease ran out of the batter, she tried her best to eat the fish and the chips did look recooked, she barely ate hers upon notifying a memeber of staff she acknowledged this and was very polite , we went to pay and I handed in £20 to pay for my own and got £10 back and queried a small sliced supper to which the young man said didn't you get a drink but to me it looks like there was no difference in price, my friend went to pay for hers and one older lady asked what was wrong with her food and my friend explained it was greasy and oily and the lady pulled a face and turned and walked away and another older lady kept pulling faces and just replied don't charge her, we won't be back it was only customer feed back and a bit politeness to a paying customer would go a long way

Stopped here for bereakfast before crossing border and we were glad we did. Very busy but this did not impact on service. Order taken quickly and piping hot breakfast served in no time. It was delicious and incredibly cheap. I read the review about someone thinking £8 a head was steep but expected 5* star surroundings. Its a cafe, of course she was going to smell food cooking on entering, what did she want, pot pourri!. They must have ordered a lot of food for it to be £8 a head as prices were very low! We feel the service was right up there and it was so reasonably priced. No frills but very clean, efficient staff and so good we stopped there a few days later on our return for our breakfast again. I particularly loved the big pot of tea and it was a great cuppa. Why do so many places have one teabag floating around, not the Rainbow. I would recommend stiopping her for the breakfast, the bacon and eggs are amazing.

Travelling to Dublin and was looking to eat before crossing over the border. Found this amazing little cafe! The staff were so friendly, went over and above offering kids a jug of juice etc and were very friendly. Food was beautiful, chips chipped from fresh potatoes and exceptionally reasonable. Cafe was packed at all times but staff were fully in control and spoke volumes how busy it was. Will now make a point of stopping here anytime we pass through. Thanks X

Went in for a bite to eat this evening. Greeted at door by a cloudy haze of chip oil and grease. Wouldn't take an asthma sufferer to walk in. Severely over priced for 2 adult meals and a child's meal. Nearly £25. Over £8 a head. Ended up throwing all our clothes straight into washing machine when we got home. You would have thought we had just worked an 8hr shift in a chippy.

Dropped in to break a long journey. Hadn’t much sterling so we ordered carefully and the waitress gave us a scone on the house. Scones and milky coffee were just delicious and if passing again will stop!

Visited the hidden treasure yesterday but it would appear that the locals are well aware of it judging by the busy lunch service. Even given this we were served quickly and opted for the mini grill as both of us were hungry but did not feel up to the gut busting mixed grill. At eight pounds the food was well cooked and extremely tasty with home made chips to die for. The only unfortunate part was not being able to finish all in front of me but my husband soon assisted. Friendly staff and I will certainly be back.

Stopped here for coffee and scone on the way to Galway. It has a small car park outside and offers take out as well as seated. They is a small bar inside and the restaurant is a good size. The scones here are well recommended but a little expensive. Staff could be a little more friendly
