Rabbie's in Manchester

If you are eating rice noodles, don't come here. It's really unpalatable and not authentically sweet. I don't know if it was because my hands were shaking, but there was a big piece of beef that I couldn't chew at all. I was so disappointed.

Rabbies has been a staple of wythenshawe town centres community for years now. Top quality food better then most restaurants in the area and surrounding area. Food and service is always fantastic and Rabbie and Mike take their time to get to know customers which adds that extra touch which keeps myself and lots of others coming back time and again. There business has gone from strength to strength on thr back of their top quality food and service. Wishing them continued success for years to come.

Rabbie's Thai Noodle Hut is a fantastic find for truly authentic Thai street food. Expect incredibly generous portions at prices that won't break the bank. The host is exceptionally welcoming and adds to the wonderful atmosphere. A recent addition to their menu is a noodle soup that has become so popular, people are traveling hours just to taste it! Highly Recommended!

Great place. Lovely owners/ staff. Seating is limited but never had to wait too long. Takeaway also available. Food amazing and makes me hanker for hawker food back home! Portions substantial too and great value.

The two shopkeepers are very nice people, and the daughter understands a little Chinese. The food is very tasty.

Just had the best Thai food we have had outside Thailand itself at Rabbie’s, a true hidden gem. Kind and warm service, huge portions but most importantly delicious food. At a time when the cost of eating out is becoming too expensive, the prices are so reasonable. Thanks so much - can’t wait to go again already.

As someone who’s had Hainan chicken rice in Hainan, Thailand, Hong Kong and Singapore this was undoubtedly the best i’ve ever had. Owners were super nice as well. For this price I would be coming every other day if I lived in Manchester!

A little piece of Thailand. A small, tight menu brimming with authenticity and home made hot sauce, very friendly staff, and a lovely sheltered restaurant on the street - I feel like I’m in Bangkok. And honestly, I’ve had a really miserable day where everything went wrong and eating here healed me. I live hours away and will definitely make the drive to come back. This is a true hidden gem.

I don’t usually review places however, Rabbie’s Thai deserved one! The food is absolutely amazing, wide range of menu and it’s clear to see the staff really care about what types of food you like and cater to your taste. Starting working in Wythenshawe in January and came across this gem of a place. The smell of the food draws you in from across the high street. The staff are lovely and talk you through your orders/preferences etc. The food is incredible. I haven't tried everything on the menu but have found a regular dish I really like. Keep trying to convince my partner to make the trip across the City to try this joint. Will definitely keep returning for the foreseeable and hope the business continues to thrive as it's always busy when I walk past !

The food is stunning, excellent and yummy. The hoi nam chicken rice and beef pai thai are very big, and I think every dish is suitable for two ladies.

Nice little spot for lunch, in a town centre, street food style, it can get busy, friendly staff, big portion sizes and good priced. Would definitely try again and explore the menu. I recommend the Hainan chicken rice, & prawn Tom Yum noodle soup, it was delicious!

I've been coming to rabbies for the past 3 years, I had never tried Thai food before and immediately got hooked. The service from rabbie, Mike and Taylor has always been nothing but quality, the foods the same. Your treated like a member of their family, looked after and leave feeling stuffed.

Cozy little diner with seating area. The food needs no compliments as it's made well enough it speaks own volume. Staff are friendly and happy to advise on menu choices and customization.

Absolutely awesome in every way! Ordered Hainan Chicken Rice and I must say it's the best one I've eaten in Manchester so far. It's also very close / familiar to what my Malaysian husband would make at home. The poached chicken was spot on: not under/overcooked and it was soft. The rice was seasoned well. The ginger sauce was really good too. I enjoyed the dish on its own but there are other condiment on the table to add further depth to the flavours like chilli sauce. Mega generous portion at reasonable price. Definitely will be coming back again bringing my husband along to try other dishes too. Thank you Rabbie, see you soon!

Definition of a hidden gem. Exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Freshly cooked authentic Thai food for a very reasonable price and even more generous portions. I’m often disappointed eating out, but not this time. The staff are all very friendly and they even offered me a free drink for CNY. This was my first time at Rabbie’s and I’m already looking forward to the second.

I have eaten at Rabbie’s few times a week for the past two months, and the fact that I keep going back means only one thing: the food is great , affordable and portions are quite big. The staff it’s very nice and friendly, the food is served quite quick and it’s always fresh and delicious. They have a dine in option and a takeaway option as well which makes it even better.

As close to being in Thailand as I have experienced in the UK. Friendly, caring and attentive service. Fresh ingredients, well balanced flavours. This place looks unassuming but it is not to be missed! Exceptional value for money

Had wanted to try it for a long while but due to the distance I hadn't done so till today. Ordered beef pad Thai and Hainan chicken rice. Big portions and prices were reasonable. Beef pad Thai - not greasy and tasted just right. Hainan chicken - chicken was quite tender. What I like most was the service and the owner was polite and friendly. Also because we went there early it wasn't too busy (Vs some of the overrated and busy restaurants at the city centre). Would definitely come again even though the tram journey was a bit long😅 (the shop is close to the tram stop so actually quite convenient).

Been going to Rabbi's noodle hut since it was a tiny stall in the middle of the walk several years ago, the food never disappoints and I can't help but get some whenever I'm in civic. Best staff too, so polite so lovely and food is consistently incredible.

Mixed meat noodle broth and vegetable noodle broth. Both fabulous dishes. Served traditionally on a sharing table. This is real street food at its finest. Excellent friendly service and a north that packs a punch

Me and my wife just finished shopping and we were hungry. As we walked into town from near Asda we smelled something really good. Then we found out it was this place called Rabbies! The name may not sound it but it is a Thai food stand with dine in and of course take away options. Upon entering the little shack we were met with great hospitality and a broad explanation of the menu, which was awesome because we are unfamiliar with Thai cuisine. Then we sat down and ordered our food, waited a couple of minutes (we could see the lady cooking! 😋) it was very quick to arrive to our table! The portion sizes were very generous for the price which was great, the presentation was fantastic as well, as you can see the meals looked appealing and the flavours were good too, great for British people that cannot tolerate spicy food. The spicy stuff is all on the table for who ever can! I would recommend this place to everyone who wants a warm meal in a cozy little restaurant in the middle of the town centre!

I never leave reviews, but this is wholeheartedly due. Once you've tried the food at Rabbie's noodle hut, you'll be making a regular visit. Mike & Rabbie have put so much thought and care into this humble noodle shack. You can literally taste all the goodness in their food. They use good quality meats too. The chicken isn't the type that's been artificially injected (plumped up) You can taste real chicken! The prawns are huge and juicy. The level of flavours and homemade dipping sauces are sublime. We especially purchased large ramen bowls to have at home for when we pick up Rabbies' noodle soups to take home 🍜 Nothing is ever spoiled in transit. The noodles are always thoughtfully packaged separately from the soup to avoid them going soggy. If you eat inside Rabbie's shack, it's relaxed,comfortable & cosy. There's an array of authentic sauces on the tables inside. It's like being transported to another destination. There's a good selection of soft drinks too ,which includes Jamaican ginger beer. Our favourite! Rabbie's homemade chilli sauce is a perfect accompaniment to add heat & another depth of flavour to taste. Also her homemade ginger sauce which accompanies the chicken Hai nan, or beef flank with ginger rice is delicious too. Alternatively, there's fragrant jasmine rice. The noodle soups include authentic ingredients. Mouli radish (which absorbs all the natural flavours of the soup). Meat balls, & Asian cabbage which has a lovely light crunchy texture. We alternate between regular soup & Tom Yum. Both are equally as good. You can choose your protein in each dish from Tofu, prawns, chicken, beef, pork, or choice of mixed meats. Or you can choose vegetables only. I highly recommend Pad Thai, Noodle Soup, Tom Yum noodle soup, Hai nan, beef flank with ginger rice. Chilli dipping sauce.
