R & R Bistro in Redcar and Cleveland

We went to R & R Bistro on the off chance to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We expected it to be good going by a few reviews we had read. What a fantastic place! Everything was perfect. The waiting staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The food was incredible and perfectly cooked to order. We both agreed that we can’t remember enjoying a meal in a Restaurant/Bistro as much before and we consider ourselves as very experienced foodies. We had a lovely chat with the owners and they are lovely. We fully intend on making a trip to R & R Bistro our monthly treat. Thank you all.

My husband and I are in the area for a wedding. We were looking for somewhere to eat last night and stopped opposite R&R Bistro. The food and service outstanding. Very friendly atmosphere and even the owner/Chef came out to check that we were happy with the food. Definitely recommend 👌

Beautiful food, fabulous service

It was our 1st visit to R & R and we had the Sunday dinner, absolutely delicious, I had tge pork cooked beautifully n my partner had the beef again cooked beautifully, real Yorkshire puds, n there cauliflower cheese was epic, you must try thus Bistro out you won't be disappointed, lovely staff very attentive and thankyou Elaine fir taking the time to chat with us, see you guys end of this month xx

Went to experience the upstairs cocktail bar after seeing it on social media and the Food always looks amazing but never tried as yet! Upstairs is like a cocktail lounge type speak easy vibe which was good, it's like a cosy sitting area, It is very compact but beautifully done out. I Wouldn't suggest going with a group of friends I'd say it's more intimate, like a couples thing or two couples before or after dinner thing, bit pricey for cocktails but they were lovely, I felt a bit awkward going for just a drink upstairs as people eating downstairs and it felt to me like I was intruding on their meal. Staff pleasant and friendly who served us drinks, I came downstairs before my partner as he was using the facilities, I thought he was just behind me and he wasn't and it was a very windy night so I'd left the door ajar for him coming downstairs unbeknown to me he wasn't right behind me and the door blew open a bit, instead of being polite and asking me to please come back in or please close the door because of the restaurant section, I had the door rudely shut in my face and tutted at. I didn't go back in and my partner exited five minutes later, but it has kind of put me off, it's a higher end eatery I respect that and people were eating, but cocktails are £12 so we did spend money and still a paying customer. A shame really as IV heard the food is amazing but I'm slightly put off and felt uncomfortable. Staff who served us in the upstairs bar were brilliant though and the venue though small beautifully decorated and done out, ideal for a romantic date night or meal for two couples etc.

A fantastic place. Ate Sunday lunch here. The food was amazing. Staff was very welcoming and made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing meal. Certainly get what you pay for and far far more . Staff was superb..nothing was too much trouble.. Definitely found a gem here.. will be back most definitely

I can not recommend this restaurant enough it absolutely fantastic. Food and service are second to none. I highly ,highly ,highly recommend you eat here. The stakes and food, and hospitality are famous as far as Darlington .Enjoy

Had an absolutely fantastic meal here. Loved everything about it. We had 2 courses and both were amazing.

Family, friendly genuinely nice people. And food to rival top class restaurants. If you like wonderful food. Eat here.

Had a lovely meal here tonight - date night special - very nice filler steak and half lobster. Cheese board was to die for!

5* every time! Have eaten here many times. The quality is always amazing. A very varied menu offering fish dishes, meat and vegetarian options. A beautiful little gem on Skelton High St. A very friendly and welcoming atmosphere with a Motown vibe. Great staff who go above and beyond. Highly recommended.

Lovely food, nicely presented and friendly staff.

We just had the most amazing dinner at R&R Bistro, it was clear to see and taste the love and passion that went into every plate of food. The star was the seafood platter but every dish we had was amazing. One of the best meals we have eaten.

Another fantastic night at R & R bistro, the quality of the food is exceptional, great wine & gorgeous cocktails. The bistro is owned and ran by generations of the same family who are all so welcoming. Thank you again for another excellent night

The best restaurant in Skelton for fish. Absolutely amazing food, presentation and service. If this place was anywhere else in the country it would be Michelin Star. If you're in the area this little diamond in the rough should be top of your list of restaurants to sample! Gastronomic decedance!
