Quayside Brechin in Angus

Good fish and chips. Had the haggis and Stornaway black pudding fritters to share as a starter which was lovely. Two medium fish suppers, one starter, two small cokes and two small sparking water drinks were £35.00.

Not very good at all in any respect. Soggy Fish Horrible batter And Chips that just were not Chips Quite expensive for Brechin Pull your socks up people or you will go bust very quickly.

Phone order - single breaded smoked haddock with tartare sauce £7.60. I didn’t ask for salt, vinegar or sauce on it. Big fish, crunchy breadcrumbs but couldn’t eat it all as it was SO salty, felt my arteries narrowing eating it. I expect a smoked haddock to be a wee bit salty but not this much. Whether the lad decided to add salt himself, I don’t know, the order was made up when I went to collect. I didn’t ask for salt, but won’t be having again! Tartare sauce looked good, couldn’t taste it for the SALTY fish. 25 minutes till order was ready despite 3 staff on the shop floor & no takeaway customers. £7.60, in the bin, disappointing

The Quayside opened under new management in the last 12 months, it provides top quality food at very reasonable prices. We had the Jumbo fish supper, a top quality haddock cooked in a thin, crisp batter and stacks of good quality chips. Definitely a place to visit if you are passing through for a fantastic friendly eating experience.

Five of us visited on Wednesday. Warm welcome, fast service, delicious food in generous portions. Place was immaculate and really nicely laid out. Will definitely go again and would recommend. Well done!

Great deal, £5 for curry , rice and chips, it’s was lovely. Fish curry was very good, loads of large prawns and salmon.

My friend and I enjoyed a lovely evening here tonight. We went for the Curry night special, both curries were delicious, good portion sizes, tasty naan bread too. We also enjoyed our sticky toffee pudding and a lovely glass of wine. All excellent value for money and great service too. I also enjoyed a delicious fish and chip lunch with my family here a few months ago, my young children loved it, great children's menu. The decor is also really nice, give this place a try!

Our takeaway meals were ok but the chips were all very small and a high proportion were scraps. Portion size would have been fine if the majority of chips hadn't been inedible.

Just love this restaurant. Never disappointed. Fabulous food and excellent service. The chicken wings special were devine. ❤️❤️❤️

Just back from here - one word AMAZING!! We booked our table and arrived early - lovely welcome - no fuss or problems about being half an hour early. We both had the same - garlic bread as a starter followed by fish & chips. So tasty - the helpings are very generous! Staff lovely & service 5 star We will definitely be back very soon !

After having previous nice takeaway meals we had 3 fish suppers on Friday 4th March. Well the Battered fish was very crispy but unfortunately the fish was non existent. it was overcooked or not coated properly. Worst fish supper ever.

Went for a meal yesterday and it was excellent. The breaded mushrooms were particularly nice. The fish was lovely and fresh and batter was very crispy and light. We have also had a couple of takeaways and they have been equally as good. Give it a try, you won’t disappointed.

First tried the Stornoway Black Pudding Fritters when they first opened, Delicious, Got 3 Whole slices of Black Pudding in Batter and some Sweet Chili Sauce and a bit of Salad approx £1.40 per slice, went back last night again to get the Black Pudding Fritters, and this time it was only 2 Slices of Black Pudding cut into Half's, so Approx £2.10 PER SLICE..!!!!! Absolute RIP OFF, i wont be going back.. i see the plates going up to the Restaurant and they are Brimming Full it seems like the Take Away is the Poor Cousin now and they are more interested in the Restaurant.. I wont be going back anytime soon..!!!!

Takeaway meal for 5. Great service and quick but that’s where it stopped. Portion size was small, greasy and expensive. Heard great reviews from the restaurant but as for as takeaway is concerned we certainly won’t be back.

Excellent meal at Quayside Brechin. The food was fantastic. Calamari was devine and the battered fish superb. The service and customer care was excellent, chatty, attentive staff, we couldn’t fault it really! Will definitely be back 😍
