Purple Onion Pizza & Kebab Emporium in Ards

I ordered a delivery and originally spoke with the owner who was polite and courteous. Food was delivered within a reasonable standard delivery time but a slight mis communication over the size of the bottle of coke ordered had me ringing back to correct. Imagine my shock when the phone was then answered by a extremely rude woman who continually interrupted what I was trying to communicate and actually accused me of the person being rude. I will not ever order from here again due to this. A shame for the owner as the food was perfect and he was polite as can be. Unfortunately for him I am an online reviewer and I report honestly that I fear keeping this woman in his employment will lose him custom old or new.

The two legged rat in the kitchen put me right off. Think he is actually the owner 🙄 Will not be back!

terrible customer service, app doesnt work but takes your money called to get it sorted even offered to pay again at the door then they message you saying for the hassle they will send it up for free (which i have screen shots of) then when you call to check on the order the cheek of the woman on the phone is shocking when they hang up on you then message you on facebook further to say thats not what he meant and more cheek, customer service is clearly lacking in this business and they might want to go and learn some basic maners instead of messing customers about! Also Blocks you on facebook and accuse you of lying

Order arrived incomplete. When I let them know, nothing happened not even a refund for the missing item. Disappointing and poor customer service.

Got a kebab tomorrow tonight due to usual Indian house closed, have to say, lovely, filling, no skimping, salad lovely and sauce great! Chat with lady on counter was friendly and very hospitable, I will go back and definitely recommend 😀

Ordered food through just eat, got a cheesy beano, chicken wings and a Hawain chicken burger, food was lovely, but got a Hawain beef burger by mistake, contacted purple onion and the lovely girl on the phone was very apologetic and arranged to have the chicken burger delivered to me, it came very quickly and tasted great, thankyou so much guys, will diffently order again, cheers

Food came fairly quickly, kebab looked nice and partner said his was lovely. I ordered a cheesy chip with garlic, next to no cheese and garlic sauce tasted sour. Ordered a fruit juice and drink was forgotten also. Delivery driver was lovely.

the staff that you meet are not people friendly, spend your money in a place that are welcome for the service, this place certainly is not. avoid ...

Phoned up at 23:40 for a burger and was told it would arrive as soon as possible. 00:25 i rang to say it's 45 mins getting late and how much longer should I expect. I was told it would be leaving the shop in a min. I called up again after an hour to cancel. Pretty poor service. Should be told at the beginning rough waiting time. If they said an hour or longer I would have said not to worry and called another takeaway. Won't be ordering again.

Poor hygiene, skimping on sauces and I am tired of not getting the correct order and will no longer waste my money on this takeaway!

Avoid like the plague, anytime i order a takeaway from this place,they always seem to mess it up! They'll forget your dips, give you the wrong toppings or put the wrong sauce on your pizza. Have went here for a while now but enoughs enough. To make things worsen I've seen them out smoking then going back in and making your pizza up, wiping the worktops down with an old dusty cloth, hygiene is shocking, see for yourself! I'll not be back!

I generally order via just eat for delivery but they're starting to use their own app now. Foods always generally been good, and I haven't ever felt disappointed afterwards, so I'd not hesitate to recommend

The best kebabs around. Reasonable price and the portion size is massive. Well worth the money and staff are friendly

Food was warm in delivery but honestly it all ended up in the bin I'd have been better making a pot noodle food was just as bad fake and greasy all out of a packet nothing fresh made nothing nice:

Purple Onion is a decent takeout but it suffers from being near to a number of better options. I haven't been captivated by its food, but I know I can rely on it if I'm passing by.

Full of Taste, My step son had a cheesy chip and was very impressed in the use of Pizza Cheese on the chip.

We ordered our delivery on just eat half plain pizza half meat feast and a few sides.we waited an hour for a delivery only to receive a full meat feast. We rang to inform the takeaway of the mistake explaining the plain was for our daughter, they told us they didn't do half and half ( funny because the week before that's exactly what we got!?) no apology for there mistake only to be rudely told on this occasion they would change our pizza but not our sides and it would take about 20 mins....by that point our sides would of been freezing! We will never be back here really poor service and not great food.
