Exceptional Was passing through Newcastle and hadn't been here in a couple years ish . Glad I called .just how I remembered it powerful food very tasty indeed freidnly staff .keep up the good work lads

When you see a huge queue outside a pizza place, you know it has to be good. It honestly didn't disappoint.

Order here every week since 2 years. And there is no way I order in other place! Lovely staff very good food. Sometimes might be a bit busy, but you can order online and you don't have to wait.

The best pizza in Newcastle and friendly staff. When is busy, need to wait a bit longer, but is no problem to me. We will be back again and again 🙂

This was (sadly) the best restaurant we found on our Northern Ireland trip. The pizza was delicious, and the side salad was divine and much needed. Great place for vegetarians.

Turned up at 7pm on the Twelfth and decided to order to go, 2x pasta with Italian sausage, 1x chicken pasta, pizza and cheesy garlic bread. 30mins they said.. Ok, no probs, they are busy, wait in car, 30mins later.. Another 20mins please.. Sorry! Sigh.. But OK. Finally get order, they add a pizza for free to order as a sorry for wait. OK, get home., S* gets his chicken pasta so no tantrums, A* gets her pizza, but only one Italian sausage pasta for us, SIGH.. Shared the pasta (which was lovely) and pizza between us, honestly, too tired to make a fuss and drive all the way back and wait for a new one to be made.

Called in as a walk in sit down. We both ordered a Hawaiian pizza and coke. The smell of cooked pizza in the wood fired oven was lovely. The staff were really friendly and the quality of the food is excellent. Would happily return and recommend.

Takes your order then takes your money but refuses your order and keeps your money disgusting service all because you live at a property where they refuse to deliver to the previous occupant new tenants and you stole my money were rude on the phone and hung up ill be contacting trading standards. Ever heard of stealing well you stole my money

Great pizza. Website was easy to use to order and the customisation feature was great. Garlic fries were unreal! Food was ready quickly. Couldn’t fault it

Really tasty veggie pizza, and the side of fries were the best chips I've enjoyed in a long time - so much so that I was scolded by my better half that the pizza was getting cold!

We have eaten in the dining area before, but decided we wanted a takeout this evening. Ordered hours ahead via the website and specified a time. The place was queued out the door when I arrived. I politely enquired if I could pop in to check if my pre-order was ready. Others were outside waiting on tables and takeouts. Inside they said two minutes, and sure enough it was given to me promptly and freshly made (not made earlier and sitting waiting for hours-my worry when ordering) The food was really delicious. Pizzas, wings and chips (skinny and not-so-skinny). It was very accurate to what we ordered and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back in the near future, and use the online order service again. Very smooth process and excellent an dinner.

I love good food. And what you can expect @ Piccolo Kitchen is The Greatest! I live a while away from Newcastle but it sooo worth it!Bear in mind they do takeaway so you can always grab a box of goodness & take with you for a stroll along the coast.

With 6 in our group ranging from teens to 70 year olds it can sometimes be hard to keep everyone happy but the pizza and pasta from here make everyone smile. Lovely!

Decent quality Pizza one of the most tasty Pizza based around ,Italian sausage and Anchovies toppings a favourite, use Piccolo regular would recommend.

Decided at short notice to try the Piccolo online ordering service. Worked a treat. 6 of us had 3 different pizzas and everyone enjoyed their food. Well flavoured and dressed with fresh (not limp and insipid) vegetables.

This is discrimination and will be contacting food standards placed an order for delivery to be phoned back by the company to be told that refuse to deliver to where I live discrimination action and will be taken this further with health standards.

Order online still have not changed their chunky chips which they do not do anymore but charge for them

We ordered 11 take away pizzas for a family soirée and were delighted with the service and the pizzas. Great family time - thanks Piccolo Kitchen.

Hubby and I called in hear on Thursday evening. We ordered a Margarita with olives and a portion of fries. The place was quite busy with a couple of families but we were able to get a seat. I did notice when our order was ready the guy called out the order and we went up to collect it however they brought the next families order over to them. Anyway, the pizza and fries arrived. The pizza was OK, nothing great and noticed there wasn't much cheese or, sauce or olives on the pizza, definitely could have done with more on the actual pizza as it was dry and a bit much taste. To be fair the fries were good. This was our first visit and if the pizza had have been better quality I would definitely return again but was disappointed that the pizza wasn't good so don't think I would go back anytime soon.

Good for families or casual eats at night. Some tables to sit at but you may have to wait during busy periods. We shared three pizzas and two cokes and it came to about £28. I’d go back.

Hear so many good things about this place but none could be further from the truth, sat down and I noticed there was a few families there which was nice then I noticed 3 families had dogs sitting with them, and the children were feeding them on the floor so I finally got past it and ordered my pizza, which I looked forward to on my 1st trip to Newcastle and it was horrible, burnt crust were it had what I can only describe as an air bubble, and very little toppings, was thinking of actually asking for more cheese but I thought I wont because everyone around me seemed happy, but the food is hideous and the chips were undercooked and my wife had a burger which was pink in the middle we just left, i don't think anyone should allow animals in to any establishment that's serves food and thinking the health officer should be called to this horrible place, which I think I should do everyone a favour and call myself this place should not be opened

I went here a hike and I was so disappointed. First of all it took absolutely forever, it finally came out and the chicken pizza which I ordered looked to be sausage instead. On closer inspection it was chicken, but it was as if someone had went and ate the chicken given all the scraps and rotten bits to the place and they shoved it on my pizza. The chicken was so fatty and there was also a lack of cheese. I took it back as I couldn’t eat it at all and the boss gave me a margarita instead although no refund for the fact I paid more for chicken. The staff were so rude and dirty looked me. Everyone in the place agreed that they had a cheek to call what was on my pizza chicken. I would not recommend this place to anyone

We ordered online and the delivery came 20 minutes late because they were busy on a Saturday evening. The pizzas are wood fire cooked and are delicious! The cheesy fries were full on flavour too. When I tried to ring their phone they did not answer and it went to voicemail or it was engaged. However one of the staff members did call my mobile to warn me that they were running late but had got our order. The staff were lovely and friendly. It was reasonable priced too, actually probably quite cheap of the quality you got. I would recommend and return if I was in the area.

Wow been a regular here for over a year and just had the pizza for the first time .Omg amazing the taste the base . Wow delicious the garlic bread also lovely too

The food is delicious but if you want to get a takeaway delivered they never answer their phones. But apart from that it is excellent!

Amazing pizzas. The taste is beautiful. Chips were stunning. Cooked to perfection and crispy. Really cheap. 2 x pizza chip and cheesy garlic bread with 3 drinks just over £20. Highly recommend

Fantastic food, pizza, chicken wings, chips etc. Very affordable and great you can sit in if you are lucky to get a seat.

As a very regular once a week visitor here we decided to try a differnt night and a differnt meal done a went for the slightly spicy meatballs on a bed of chunky chips...

I go to Piccolo's regularly and usually I am happy with what I get. I have gotten around that any meat topping isn't a good idea, the quality is pretty poor, but I have also noticed the busier they are they worse the quality seems to become.

My family and I wanted a quick place to eat that wasn't formal and this was perfect place to eat. Lasagne from here is as good as we've tasted and the Pizzas are A1.

I'm a regular customer here and love the food but was very upset at my last visit.

I order the wrong pizza by mistake and by the time I realized it was already done but they didn’t hesitate to change it for me at no extra costs. Can’t say enough for them doing it and how fast they make it happen practically no waiting also it tasted great

Newcastle County Down has become a great town for good food at any time of day. Pizza, burgers, coffee shops, cafés and restaurants line the Promenade, with a myriad of choice to satisfy any taste. We happened upon a fantastic pizzeria, right in the middle of Main Street, called Piccolo Kitchen.

Visited this place today and ate in. Super tasting fresh pizza made to order. Friendly staff. Would recommend and come back. Thanks for a great feed.

Really great place. Only criticism would be no recycling bin for all the cans of drink/plastic bottles they sell. Very good staff so hopefully they will see this and get a green bin in pronto!

We've visited this pizzeria a few times now and every time the pizzas are great. You can watch them being made, or watch the passers by while you wait. Pizzas are made fresh, and baked in their wood fired oven. Staff have always been friendly, and helpful. The only failing I've noticed is that they don't clear tables quickly - but they are busy if they need an excuse :-) Excellent pizzas!

Wow this wood fired pizza place is an absolute treasure in the midst of Newcastle high street, there’s plenty of food competition on this street, but this wins hands down!

Recently visited this restaurant with my family. We had a family day out with our daughter and walking on the main street we looked at each other because as we felt something in the air...It was so delightful we couldnt miss it. A warm atmosphere with lovely ambience with a touch of Italian impression welcomed us. The menu is pretty straight forward. Options for vegetarians, for meat lovers, for kids, seafood dishes. Simply great!! I went up to the counter to order. In about 20 mins we have received those beautiful and FRESH pizzas. Every bit of it looked and tasted amazing. Huge portions. Me and my wife were fighting with the last bites but it was so delicious that we didnt want to waste it. The wee one has ate everything too. The fries were great...greag selection of sauces and we got a comolimentary portion of garlic sauce. The only thing that I would suggest to extend the selection of soft drinks..we have been happy with our coke and blackcurrant for the wee one but we could have gone for something else.

Was in here last week for take out pizza and was very impressed! We stopped by in the evening time while the restaurant was quite busy although the takeaway was quiet enough. The menu covers a lot yet still manages to be short and sweet- I went for an classic margarita pizza which is £7. There is an area for waiting on takeout which is brilliant and as well as that the restaurant has wooden knives and forks sitting with the napkins so that if you want to take out your food and sit on the promenade while eating you can!

Lovely casual diner - pizza is delicious, great lasagne too. We always go to Piccolo for pizza and wok box for Chinese food on our trips to Newcastle. Staff very friendly - although they are working flat out! You don't need to book - mostly pizza to go but just a few casual tables well worth waiting for! A family favourite.

This place is loved by us all & visited at least once a month! Quick service & extremely tasty food pulls always us back! However what a massive disappointment this evening has been... ok we understand it's mothers day & the place was busy with people eating in & takeout. We decided we would take out & eat in the car to people watch... went to order & were told they have no chips!! Got over that quickly & ordered 3 items..... we stood & stood & stood.... families came in & ordered sit in food & others carry outs we still stood with a good view to the cooking stations we observed our chicken wings & goujons go onto boards & under heat lamps ... we still stood ... after a time I approached the young girl to ask if they forgot about us to be told no 5 minutes... they took the food from under the heat lamps & scraped into 2 boxes bagged it & said that's you now.... NO it's not what about the pizza... feeling annoyed have stood for 35/40 mins to be handed only some of the order & cold at that I took a fefund & left.... shame I have to say reluctant to go back now...

We stopped in for a quick informal lunch. The pizza was great, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. I particularly liked the booth tables. Would go again.

This pizza place is a real gem. We're a family of 3 and were well fed for £20. The food was delicious and the service was good too. The only downside is there are no toilets but there wouldn't be room for any as it's a small diner anyway.

Food is fantastic. Had pizza & BBQ wings. Quality was brilliant, staff were very attentive and helpful. Restaurant was very clean, comfortable & modern. Great selection on the menu with create your own option. Sad to have found this on our last night. Will be back!

We have been twice now with our two young girls. Nice environment ,great tasting pizza and good value .. Worth a visit .
