Pumpkin Cafe in Wigan

Great staff especially Susan, she's an absolute angel 😁. Quick, friendly service with a smile and great coffee, can't rate any higher. Pumpkin does need a Facebook page though, you're missing out on more social presence. Just a suggestion. P.s, Susan deserves a raise, yeah I said it lol

I've been coming here every morning for over 6 years and two things have never changed. The coffee is always great and so are the staff. This is hands down the best Pumpkin cafe in the UK, nothing against the others, just this one has Susan 😁. She's an absolute sweetheart, always has a smile on her face and loves to have a laugh. She's the extra kick with your coffee that you didn't know you needed lol

Nice wee buffet shop on platform 4, great coffee served by Sue! Small but just what you need to grab a coffee & a snack before catching your train. £4 for a large americano, not bad in comparison to other larger chains - you can get coffee & a bacon butty for £5 in the mornings 👍

A little haven! We were changing trains at Wigan on our way down to the NEC... very early very rushed and very tired! So it was so nice to jump into the Pumpkin and have a chilled 10mins... staff were great, place was very welcoming and clean, lovely little spot! 🙌

Always a nice coffee but the opening times need updating 🙂 I travel through on a Thursday around 16:30 - 17:00 and it’s not been open then for a bit now

This has long been a vital and convenient stop off point before catching trains. The staff, @Kudos to Sue, are friendly, nice practical layout and best of all a place to get a newspaper or magazine for a long ride. What a mistake to stop stocking news and current affairs. Please bring those back, we need them. Thank you, Sarah.

Sue was very attentive to her customers and kept spirits high with all the cancellations and delays shes a credit to her employers at the pumpkin cafe Wigan train station very satisfied customer Jane made my travel a lot easier x

I stopped for a bacon butty & latte & it was very tasty & the latte much nicer than overpriced & too strong Costa's! The lady serving offered me a bargain meal deal for £5.30! She was friendly & welcoming & makes great coffee 😊

I had the coffee and Bacon Barm, and Bacon Barm was not good. But Coffee was ok

Lovely little shop on wigan North Western platform. The lady is super cute, cheery and polite. She made an excellent oat milk hazelnut hot chocolate and was super kind. Lovely drink and lovely lady :)

Way to expensive- £5 for a pre package cheese and pickle sandwich in fridge. Marking up products due to its location, Shame.

Sorry but £6 for a regular black coffee and a cup of PG Tips tea is insane. I can get a decent sized breakfast for that price.

Just been in for a coffee with my husband and honestly i loved every moment the layout of the cafe made me nostalgic about my childhood... i ordered two hazlenut oat milk mocha 😋 as myself n my husband are quite picky 😆 and honestly it was a superb coffee as a Starbucks ssv i love to make comparisons and i was sooooo happy... Lovely conversation with Susan Ashworth the team member who served us .... Keep up the excellent work and the coffee flowing 👌 👍

Had a lovely late morning Frappe at Pumpkin Cafe on Platform 4, Wigan North Western. Prices reasonable for a train station. Frappe was excellent, not too sweet or too strong, just a perfect frappe.

Pumpkin Cafe, is a small cafe on platform 4, friendly and reasonable prices, it was a life saver with the nearly two hour train delay

Only came in for a cup of tea but everyone was friendly the service was great! By John and david!

The staff are always very lovely and helpful. Never had a wrong order and always seem to work well during rushes. Come here almost everyday and wouldn't charge that at all 😊

Hi guys. I'm at Wigan North Western Station and just bought a very nice coffee from the Pumpkin. However a lady walked passed and split it, so I went back to the Pumpkin and mentioned this and they gave me a free coffee. And I would like to say many thanks for this.

Regular visitor to pumpkin, do a decent coffee

Poor coffee. Staff are ok but could be a lot better. The front door doesn't shut so in winter it's freezing. I'm pretty sure the floor hasn't been replaced in 20 years and even though it probably gets cleaned daily it looks awful. The advantage they have is that their customers have nowhere else to go so why bother!

Expensive and simultaneously rubbish. £2.40 for a cup of tea. This is Wigan not Chelsea. Maybe they should spend some of their profits on a door that actually closes so you don't freeze to death when you're sat inside and a decent mop to clean the floor.

Miserable looking staff, not much interaction with customers. Acceptable coffee and tea but not the same standard as other well known chains. The place does not look the cleanest and sometimes smells quite bad. I guess that is due to the customers as well.

Might as well have thrown my £3 down the drain as that’s what I did with that awful awful coffee.
