Been here a quite a few times. Great Spam Fritters on a Muffin! Also love the fact they do Chips & Gravy/Curry in a foil takeaway container. This makes it worth while as it doesnt soak into the foam containers. Only thing i wish they would do is cook the chips a bit longer until they actually change colour. They look pale (ones without gravy/curry on) when really should be a nice golden yellow/brown. Another minute or two in the oil would make the chips better plus not have the odd undercooked chips.

This place has got very expensive and paying two pounds for half cooked chips is out of order this used to be a top chippy but has gone down hill so much since after lockdown and different ppl running it. In reply to the owner reply I received....I haven't got a problem paying £2 for chips but these weren't cooked and still raw in the middle hence my comment two pounds for half cooked chips as in raw

They have a very tasty delicacies, and the waiting time is also very considerate taking in mind the demand always at the eatery

Just ring up to complain and the lady told me she hasn't sold my girlfriend this food since changed of hands this chippy has gone down hill fast

Decent local chippy, the food is good but can suffer at certain times, place is quite clean and staff are friendly, I don't think that you need to rush over but if you live in the area it's a decent place to eat.

Communication is next to none! asked for chips,cheese and beans!! the cheese had clearly gone off tasted like sour milk, To which the staff responded 'they wouldn't know if the cheese was off as they didn't make it?!' and then proceeded to just give me my money back despite the fact i still needed something to eat!! then got totally ignored so walked out of the shop and threw the sour cheese and chips in the bin! whats to be expected from a 1* food hygiene takeaway!

New to this chippy I always oder chilli and garlic King prawn .. and now on my 4th time ordering this dish I'm am genuinely amazed how fresh the King Prawns are which I have not found in ANY OTHER CHINESE chippy over a lot of years .. absolutely excellent .. 5 stars..

Called in last night and even thou it was busy we didn’t have to wait long for our food to be cooked.The chips were great! Nice golden colour and cooked fresh. Our Chinese dishes were really tasty as well esp the salt n pepper ribs! Proper meaty they were. Lovely friendly service from the lady behind the counter. Think this might be our new local Chinese . Roll on Saturday night 😋

First visit here tonight after walking past a few times. Very friendly staff, good portion sizes and very reasonable prices. Tea for two for under £7, very happy. Will gladly return and be a regular customer. Hidden gem on the outskirts of the town centre. Delivery available as well.

Very efficient food was nice and hot, the staff very friendly and the lady that served us even gave us a lift home because we couldn't get a taxi .didnt get her name but the lady with the bichons was so lovely and ty xxx

Ordered tonight a portion of chips and a salt n pepper chips. 7pm. Sadly what we received was cold. For just shy of £4 I expected better. Completely get that it was busy but how difficult is serving hot, fresh food? Won’t be returning. 2/10 —————— Response 7/2/2022 Thanks for replying. As mentioned in my review, the food I received wasn’t piping hot or fresh. So, I disagree with the reply about every food being fresh and piping hot. One recommendation is to definitely focus on getting the food but right instead of pushing out as many orders in the shortest amount of time. That way instances like this wouldn’t occur.

Best Chinese food in oldham, been going here a while now and never had a bad word to say about the food. the staff are really nice and very helpful.

Since the new owners, this place has gone downhill I've had to come home and make my own gravy and put my food in microwave,,the ladys are rude overpriced and snach money out of your hand won't be coming here again I've tried a few times I'll spend my money elsewhere thanks

Currie's/ Curry sauce are good. Chilli chicken is great dish. Chips are good when fresh. Most dishes are good but Beef Curry and Rice 🍚 is my personal favourite 😋

It's ok any port in a storm . It's clean ' there is no interaction with the Vietnamese owners who smile politely now and again . We've all got our favourites and if you can't get to yours for what ever reason then try this one .

A couple of years ago: Portion sizes are good but chips are usually underdone (white and soggy) for my tastes but acceptable when covered in curry or gravy. Fish is poor. It is watery and thin (actually seems like mush) rather than chunky and flakey. Batter is poor too. Heavy rather than light and bubbly. The fish in the picture on this page was definitely not from this chippy. If this was the standard fish from here, I would be a regular. Chinese food is good, just wish the fish and chips were better as because of this, this chippy is a last resort option for me and I only go if I'm desperate. Female staff are good. I'm never sure if the male staff have understood me. Update August 2018: I thought I would try again given the response to my original review. Unfortunately nothing has changed. The chips are still limp white mush. This is nothing to do with using fresh oil. They are poor quality potatoes not being cooked for long enough. I can make chips with fresh oil that are golden brown with a great crispy shell. Why can't you? Despite the claim, the fish was not cooked to order and was no different to any I had previously. The batter was still poor. If you would like to know what a real Fish&Chips should look and taste like, take yourself along to Levers on Albion Street (opposite Iceland). Not always perfect but more often than not, a great chunky, flaky piece of fish in a crisp batter with good well cooked chips.

We have PT's chippy every friday for dinner cant fault them at all. Salt and pepper chicken pieces are MEGA!
