Prezzo in Ipswich

The tone of the experience was set from the outset with no greetings, just one word "allergies?". Made us feel like a number. The back half of the restaurant was being used for a first aid event, however the front half was available with most tables free. The waiter offered us the table directly next to the entrance, a small table in an awkward location. We said we wanted to be seated in a different location which we were but seemed to annoy the waiter. He immediately asked us if we wanted to order drinks, we had not seen the menu and literally just sat down. After asking for some time, he then sent over a different waiter to take the order. We were happy to see meatballs back on the menu so ordered them as starters and ordered spaghetti bolognaise and penne with creamy chicken with mushrooms. At best the food quality was average. The bolognaise could easily have been a ready meal from a supermarket. The creamy chicken was better but quite bland. Overall the whole experience was expensive, unfriendly, low quality in service and food and once home our digestion suffered from the low quality. We have been to other Prezzos in the past such as Norwich and Witham and the experience at these locations was much better. Unlikely to be returning.

I had a three course meal with my friend and it was fantastic. Drink - strawberry lemonade, non-alcoholic, delicious Starter - calamari, cooked perfectly and came with a very tasty dip Mains salad - best I've ever had. Full of a variety of fresh ingredients, including avocado. Chicken was cooked perfectly, and the crispy bacon was lovely. Pudding was a seasonal cheesecake that came with cream and berries. I will definitely be back, thank you.

Great meal, fabulous service. Visited before the theatre and the food was so good. I had the meatball starter and a Caesar salad. Both amazing. Mum had the crab and prawn ravioli. Can't praise this restaurant enough. Staff are wonderful.

Had a lovely meal in here Friday night with 10 year old and husband. Pre booked a table for 6.15. Arrived at a very busy restaurant. Drinks came within good time, but our starter took over 35 minutes to arrive. Eventually, our mains came, and my pasta was stone cold all the way through. Waited such a long time to receive I was beyond hungry and didn't want to send baklck and wait even longer. Last minute decision for lunch for 4 before leaving Ipswitch. Choice of seating & we were quickly settled down. Staff were attentive & we ordered 4 different meals which all came as ordered. Wine by the glass & Prosecco were very palatable.

Always a safe bet but nothing too exciting. I always enjoy the 1/2 pizza and salad. A good selection of drinks too. Can be a bit pricy

My wife and I were late in getting from an appointment, so decided on the spur of the moment to go to prezzos, good choice, nice friendly welcome, good well cooked food,and the restaurant was warm and comfortable, will revisit soon.

Consistently good food, well presented and attentive staff, one of the best prezzo's experienced. It's quite open plan so i would suggest it nicest to sit in a booth or along the side of the room.
