Edit: no longer a veggie pret unfortunately, so there is no longer as much choice. Original review: So many delicious food options, I was spoiled for choice. I wish more of these sandwiches and rolls appeared in the regular prets as they don’t have many vegan options now.

I was very disappointed having walked all the way there from Piccadilly to find a normal Pret A Manager as when I searched it up I was looking for the Veggie Pret and it showed up as it was there in my search results and pictures then when I went in to look for vegan options they were very poor on their selection

They do not offer real cups, just takeaway disposable nightmares with plastic lids. That tells me they don't give a damn about conservation, on any level. My expensive (but tasty) cheese toastie was presented whole: unsliced. I took it back to ask for it to be cut in half. They're not allowed to because of "contamination". What a disgrace. Cut your damn sandwiches & wash the knife if you must, but put the customer first. Will not return.

Wonderful having a Veggie Pret in Manchester, I wish they had them in more places. Good selection of vegan food and baked goods I tried the vegan brownie which was really nice and fudgy. Looking forward to trying the pastries next time.

I come to the Deansgate Pret several times a week, as they have vegan options and is generally quick and convenient. Today however I have been sat here for more than half an hour - 8am to 8.35am - waiting for them to bring the food out, and the food shelves are still mostly empty. Ironic when you think that ‘pret a manger’ translates into ‘ready to eat’.

Eugghhhh I wish Pret would stop toying with the Veggie Pret Concept! It falls flat every time. I don't get why a Standard Pret can get the Veggie/Vegan options right but then a Dedicated "Veggie" Pret get's it so wrong. The Product avaliblity is terrible, and is it me that things the stuff here is more expensive than the Same stuff at the Pret in Cross street? Pret get message your standard Prets are doing the Veg stuff right and gives me the option to Omni when I so choose.

I visited their store in Deansgate several times and from something named “Veg Pret A Manger” I would have expected to find at least some vegan croissants, but I was completely wrong! Their vegan chocolate croissants are never in stock and if you ask why they will respond these are so popular and sell-out fast. A common sense business would simply bake more to meet the demand, keep decent prices and increase their profit, but they prefer disappointing customers, increase prices and lose money. Their customer service couldn’t be more useless as they are unable to resolve any query. I’ve been unable to access my Pret account for a while and they have no clue how to fix this (I’ve been promised a fix within 24-48 hours but still nothing). There’re so many businesses selling croissants so I won’t bother purchasing anything from them (assuming they had something in stock!) If you’re intolerant to some foods or vegan, don’t waste your time visiting them as you won’t find anything to eat there!

Best service around and yummy fresh food. Amazingly friendly and helpful staff especially Colm who goes above and beyond. We r not even vegetarian but food is excellent.

Lovely vegetarian place to grab a quick bite for lunch. So many vegetarian options to choose from. The sandwich were all delicious and their salad too. The mac and cheese was a bit bland and underseasoned. Love their choc mousse. Wish there were more Veggie Pret a Manger around Manchester

we came in Pret Deansgate. My LG got free babycino two days in a row. Thanks to Colm. He is so friendly and he even remember us.

It's a Pret, what can you say? The food is ok, more convenient than exceptional, the price is always a little high for what is a sandwich though and the selection likes variety. That said, this is the first time I saw a Pret vegetarian outlet, so there was initially a novelty factor, but that soon wore off. Over thirty pounds for three sandwiches and soups... and no coffee/ drinks. There is not much difference to a sit-down cafe or budget restaurant in pricing.

Although it's the veggie Pret, there were only dairy-based pre-made milkshakes available to buy in their fridges.

Called in for a coffee & snack service was OK. Nothing special the products were ok.

Hi! I want to give a shout-out to the guys working at Veggie Pret Deansgate in Manchester. Not only I LOVE the vegan bakery and the coffee, but their amazing customer service is outstanding every single time! I visit the shop on a daily basis as I’m local (and vegan), and they never fail. I’ve never seen an upset customer or a missing item. Literally the best Pret ever been since I moved from London. Also would like to thank Alberto as he’s a very nice guy and deal with a very professional manner! Thank you guys, keep up the good work!

Always a staple for a quick on the go lunch, you can go in as a vegan knowing you can eat at least half of what's on the menu. Staff are always lovely.

Bit of a shame that they do offer products containing milk and eggs, but as a veggie place this is to be expected. I’ve been over to Veggie Pret a few times to try and pick up their egg-less cress sandwich because it was a favourite of my girlfriend’s before we went vegan. Every time it was sold out, which must be testament to its popularity! The actual sandwich was good, albeit a bit underseasoned. When tofu is used to mimic egg, you can’t really put in too much kala namak and this could have done with a bit more. Tasted quite tofu-y.

Great cafe in an ideal position: opposite Kendal's and close to St Anne's square. Fast efficient service, coffee is excellent and a great array of snack/meals. The place is spotlessly clean and the toilet facility is limited but so so clean. They are also dog friendly. Give this place a try.

Every single time I go they try to overcharge me by either putting the wrong item through the till or adding multiples of a single item. This is not a one-off mistake but multiple times with consistency, they ALWAYS make some ‘mistake’ with the till to try to charge too much. Never experience this with any other Pret. Very questionable practises going on here

Wide selection of tasty vegetarian and vegan options. Large bright corner setting with a wide variety of cool seating options - good to both takeaway or eat in. I often dine alone or with one another and seating accommodates for this. Multicultural friendly serving staff.

It's a shame that they offer dairy and egg products, but every vegan item that I tried was absolutely delicious! If every Pret was 100% plant-based then I would visit so much more often - keep creating new vegan recipes Pret!

Pastry burnt and stale.all else ok

Went to this Pret for soup, ciabatta, only to find they had no butter, similar to the one in Chester. I don't understand how a sandwich shop has no butter?! The lady that I asked told me it was because they are vegan so don't have anything that isn't considered vegan and that the 'normal' Pret's would have butter. It was a Veggie Pret and not Vegan - the fact they they sell non vegan products, you'd think she would be aware of the business she works in. Not very good for the brand and starting become a bit of a let down that Pret's in different cities don't stock correctly. Very poor effort.

Arrived which they advised was 10 mins before closing, still served and able to sit outside until they cleared up. Cold fruit drink and granola fruit mango bowl was nice.

They didn't deliver my sandwich or my my drink. I only received the constant i ordered.

Portions for the breakfast baguettes were deceptively small, they were half a baguette. Had I known better I would have ordered more food. Would recommend mixing and matching two of them.

Food was great, packaging intact. Only thing I didn't like is that I didn't know the food had arrived.. As there was no knock on the door or phone call from the driver. My housemate said "maybe they left it on the doorstep" which they had.The Lemon and Ginger was really nice and refreshing.

The VLT THE Label had been broken and it was box was open so all I was left with was Popcorn..Absolutely Shambolic.. Will report to Trading Standards and Food Standards Agency seeking a refund from just eat. Just Disgusting!! I wish i could give 0 Stars.....Only the driver was the positive in this shambolic service.

Outstanding 1) Driver was polite and friendly. 2) Food was well packed lots of Napkins. 3) Vegan Chuna Mayo Baguette was lovely especially in the sauce it had a tuna like taste... My favourite was the VLT which I would Highly recommend. The Shittake mushrooms tasted exactly like smoked bacon, similar texture and taste and the salad and malted Wheat Bread was just a delight.. I just wish they did this in a Baguette. Croissants were lovely... Overall would recommend !

Food was decent. The drinks weren’t great - the chai powder wasn’t obviously shaken/stirred properly in the milk. Instead, it was just stuck to the bottom of the cups, so the iced chai lattes didn’t have much flavour to them. This was the first time I tried an iced matcha latte and I don’t like the rice-coconut milk/water so I won’t order that again. The wrap came slightly cold but I think that’s just because the delivery driver was late over 10 minutes: The chocolate croissant and mocha muffin were really nice though.

There was no option for alternative milks so I requested in the comments section. However, my drink came with milk and I was unable to drink it. There is no way to contact Pret to discuss this without making a complaint to the Food and Saftey Board so I thought I'd leave a review - if anyone is allergic, don't risk it!

The food was fantastic, I love the chuna baguette and the croissants are as good as always. Less happy with the fact that the driver drove 10-15 minutes in the incorrect direction, then sat there idly for at least 15 minutes before I contacted support, at which point they finally headed our way. Very frustrating, not something I wanted to spend 45 minutes of my day troubleshooting.

Great to have a Pret dedicated to vegetarian options. A nice change from sorting through to find what is suitable for us vegetarians. Tasty sandwiches plus warm dishes, flavourful and healthy. Not inexpensive compared to making your own, but a nice treat plus gives you ideas for what you can make yourself, and anyways is super for a place to eat when you're out in between appointments.

Great idea, it was lovely to go somewhere and have so many more vegan options than normal. However the only option for the roll was butter, no flora or vegan spread. And no real spoon for the soup, only a biodegradable plastic one which I’m not really sure is much better than a normal plastic one.

I love their ''posh cheese sandwich''. Their home made soups are nice too

I kindly asked for a flat white, received something that resembled a filter coffee with milk. I asked for it to be changed and was met with an exchange of rude questions and statements such as, “you do not know what a flat white is” for the rude employee that served me at 9am on 21st December, please see image of a flat white from Starbucks

Tasty food, friendly and pleasant

Been here plenty of times, while quite pricy for a cafe, the food they produce is usually a delight and to have so many veggie options, safe to say you will find something you love in there. One thing I'm sad about is that the hummus and crisp vegetable wrap doesn't seem to be stocked anymore and I really enjoyed that wrap!

Loved it, mushroom bake thing I had was great, bit different from normal Pret, v busy but the staff were in control at all times.

I got served today by a gentleman named Mohamed at the till. He delivered exceptional customer service to me today. I left the store with my order really happy.
