Cashier (dark curly hair) was not just passively grumpy but actively rude. Slammed croissants into bags before taking the next customer. While waiting for our coffee order (no names taken) chaos ensued as somebody took the wrong order, throwing everyone out of kilter. Said cashier seemed to be in charge but no effort was made to sort this out, she was just shouting at customers behind us that “that’s not yours”. Food itself was awful, barely warm soggy croissants, coffee was poor. Seating outside was crammed together, with spilled coffee all over the floor. As we had backpacks we ended up with them on the table. Never again!

The staff here are incredibly rude. This has happened on more than one occasion so it's not a one off. They give one word answers if you are lucky, do not say please or thank you. I asked today why the toilets were not opened....the reply from a girl with dark hair and a blue bobble was a blunt because this is when we close them. The closing time is 4pm yet you have no use of a toilet from 2.30pm? Disgusting attitude when I politely asked to use the accessible toilet and the girl looked as if it was a chore to get the key and opened the door with a huff. Pret....train your staff in customer service. Absolutely shocking to have this attitude from staff at the gateway to the capital city of Wales.

Omnia (sorry, I don't know if I've spelt that right) was brilliant. As well as serving us our drinks, I saw her mend a table, turing it upside down and mending the legs on it ! and when she heard us saying the loos were awful, she immediately cleaned them all up! What a hard worker :-)

Absolutely wonderful customer service from a friendly, efficient, and professional team coupled with great coffee, pastries, and sandwiches as well as the location opposite the main railway station in Cardiff you could not ask for a better place for lunch. Highly recommended

Its strange how the reviews so far have been bad. I've been in this Pret a few times as it does food, coffee and it's very close to the train station and where I work. It has plug sockets, water stations and you get to hear many languages and accents if you sit in, from those arriving from the station. It's been not exceptional but what I needed at the time from a coffee shop. That being said, my last experience was exceptional. I had had a tough week and I walked in the Pret to wait out time. The two people there, one was called Magdalena, I forget the other person's name (sorry 😞) They were so friendly and asked what I wanted. When I said I didn't know, they asked questions to see what I would possibly like. They gave me an caramel iced mocha to try. The Ice Mocha was great in itself but the greater part, was knowing that effort had gone into making the experience great, even if it was just me getting a coffee. I went back in to grab a water afterwards to thank them. In short: Not a bad place to go. Staff are lovely and it has facilities. Just keep in mind it is by a station so there will be busy/noisy spells

Staff rude and tables dirty, ordered “one flat white and one oat milk flat white”, serve condescendingly goes “so two flat white..” so I confirmed “no, one of them is oat milk” and he replies “that’s still two flat whites” as if I’m thick, Of course I was just confirming! Massive attitude problem, barked at me for being a fraction of a second late collecting drink, quite the jobsworth as refusing customers the use of toilets without receipt code whilst simultaneously not offering receipts at till..for something that was ‘just grabbing a quick coffee’ was unpleasant and quite jarring. Staff need retraining here. Napkins would be helpful as well to clean up after the cup I was given disintegrated with the coffee running everywhere.

Second visit this month. First one ok ish. so returned. What a mistake! Too many staff with no one being responsible. Dirty and cluttered indoors. Seating an absolute mess. No sweetness available so coffee left on table. Dirty tables and not cleaned. Seemed to be plenty of staff. Not returning. Try the St.David’s centre branch.

Ordered two pizzas and fries through Uber Eats with a Buy 1, Get 1 free offer on the pizzas. Order came to a little under £15 excluding the £2.50 service fee. The order was cancelled and no reason was given. If my order was not good enough for Detroit Dough, I hope this review and rating is.

quizás el peor restaurante de comida rápida en el que he estado. El domingo por la mañana temprano y el servicio era horrible confuso y pérdida de tiempo. solo había 2 clientes frente a mí con 6 empleados, incluido el gerente en la parte de atrás.
