Lively terrace in the heart of Duke of York square, Chelsea . It’s very good location to meet for drinks and enjoy nibbles or lunch or dinner . This restaurant serves delicious Italian ffood and has an excellent wine list . The staff are friendly and polite .

Really terrible service. The staff are very sweet, but I had to endlessly ask for the wine (took 20 minutes and was warm), ice for the wine (never arrived until I actually got up to go inside), to take our order etc. etc. It's an attractive spot, but I was embarrassed bringing a guest here.

Very poor. Aperol Spritz absolutely dreaful as well as epxensive (and it's not complicated!) and food only average. Service was OK. I would not recommend this place.

Excellent staff, authentic Italian food and a really warm attentive service. It felt like being on holiday! It was my boyfriend’s birthday and they made such an effort to make it a special lunch for him. The ragu was particularly delicious. We will be back!

I booked here for a reunion of old friends and it was a great decision. They were so helpful and gave us a large table outside . We all had a wonderful time. Good food and good friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Ready for a trip to this splendid "Bacaro" in the heart of Chelsie? The talented chef at Polpo brings fantastic and unforgettable food from the Veneto region right to your table. On the menu you can find tasty northern Italian plates and traditional “cicheti” such as stuffed olives, focaccia and crocchette. The food here won’t fail to delight your senses!

We had a great meal at Polpo near Duke of York Square. The restaurant was also pet friendly. Food was great and service was friendly. Look forward to return in the future.

Had a lovely meal at Polpo whilst out exploring Chelsea. The restaurant is cosy with a good variety of Italian tapas. Portion sizes are very generous, and so we were full quite quick. The server was helpful from the start though and suggested cancelling some later if it was too much, as food comes out staggered. We ordered truffle croquettes, bread and aioli, spaghetti and meatballs, zucchini fries, garlic king prawns and a pizza. We couldn’t manage a pizza and cancelled this, but everything we had was lovely. My favourite were the croquettes, and the zucchini fries which are so light and yummy. My only feedback would be that although the garlic prawns were tasty, I didn’t like they weren’t unshelled or deveined, which meant we had to take the tract out and faff with that. Other than this a lovely meal overall.

Popped in here on a rainy night, it was close to our hotel. We shared a couple of things off the cichetti menu-stuffed fried olives and truffle potato croquettes-small portions but good. We shared a nice fresh leaf salad, she had meatballs and I had pumpkin ravioli with sage and a bit of chili sauce, all good, not big portions but enough and tasty.

This is the most amazing small Italian restaurant in Chelsea, London. Absolutely amazing food and the best people attending to your wishes and needs! I highly recommend this place, and will certainly come back again. One tip: don’t be tardy with making a reservation, because they’re usually fully booked!

Although the food was OK, the service was quite poor and the staff a bit miserable. A shame since it's well located just off the Kings Road.

This is one of the spots you come across accidently and fall in love. Great open public space . Food is excellent and so is the service. No problem to sit there for a couple of hours just relaxing. The menu consist of small dishes-those we tasted were not of the usual kind.

I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. The food was all cold when it arrived so we had to send it back. Bearing in mind we were eating outside food needs to be hot when it arrives. Quite mediocre and overpriced - £8.50 for four roast potatoes which I could do much better myself!

Enjoyable pre-theatre supper. Relaxed atmosphere. Cheerful and responsive service. Appealing selection of tasty sharing dishes, and interesting wine list, at reasonable prices.

Nice food, attentive service staff ... however experience was spoilt by the rude Manager. Was sitting outside and wife when in to find the ladies. Was told off rudely by Manager repeatedly for coming in to find the ladies, assuming I suppose, that we were outsiders, not guest ... or maybe it was because we were Asians, not white 🤔!!!

We were here for dinner on our way back from an interesting and somewhat exhausting day. The service was absolutely fabulous and the food matched the service. We all ordered the same main and we shared three starters. Every dish exceeded our expectations. So much so that we will return there tonight for dinner.

Love Polpo Soho but Chelsea was very disappointing. Average food some of which was lukewarm and service wasn’t great. I think this was because we booked a later table (8.45) on a cold, wet Saturday night and the staff wanted to go home so it felt really rushed. Also the restaurant was freezing because the door was kept open. Will keep going to Soho but wouldn’t return to Chelsea.

Come Here for a Meal- attentive service in a lovely location with great food. Fried olives, Frito misto, courgette fries, tiramisu, Verdichio & Fernet Branca. Perfection!

Terrible service. Incompetent waiter who didn’t seem to have a clue what he was doing. Drink order didn’t turn up for ages. Had to ask again and again. We tried to order a gluten free pizza with spinach and egg . Waiter started asking questions about vegetarian mozzarella which confused us. So we said no normal mozzarella is fine we just require gluten free. When the pizza turned up it was plain mozzarella and tomato so we sent it back asking for the topping we had ordered. I fear the order was put in the second time without the request for a gluten free base. No care from the original waiter who had served us. When it came out served by different waiter I checked if it was gluten free and he said hesitantly yes. No checking with the kitchen. In hindsight I should have checked again but I would not expect this sort of mistake in any restaurant. The base didn’t look as flat as the original pizza they had bought out. When I checked the bill as i feared it didn’t have gluten free anywhere. I have been suffering from stomach pains ever since. Expensive for what it was coupled with the terrible service. Will not return. I rarely write negative reviews but feel this needed to be said.

We visited the restaurant in August on a beautiful sunny evening and had a very good experience so wanted a repeat as the outdoor area is heated and is sheltered. It was like the difference between night and day as if the kitchen and serving staff had all been replaced and not for the better! The staff were huddled together having private conversations while we had to wave for attention. Two luke warm dishes had to be sent back to the kitchen - meatballs and mussells which is slightly worrying when you are reheating shellfish. The initial pizzette with tomato and mozarella was delicious and after ordering a very disappointing sausage pizza we decided to reorder the tomato and mozarella one which was completely different to the first one with different crust and cheese. I pointed this out to the waiter who just shrugged his shoulders in response. However one of the management team came over and took them all off the bill and the service charge too which i had no intention of paying anyway. She was the only member of staff who seemed to be engaging with customers.

I used to love the original Polpo in Soho, but here the quality is way below that level. Frito misto was flavourless and not crispy, pizzeta resembled a take away pizza and focaccia with mortadella uninspiring. Either I was unlucky with the choice of dishes, or the bosses from Soho need to pop round to check what is going on in this branch. A disappointment.

I attended the restaurant in Duke of York Square on Thursday afternoon and I was appalled by the complete lack of awareness of Covid-19. There was no sanitation, the staff were miserable and unhelpful and one was coughing while serving and continued to touch plates, glasses etc.! My daughter is Coeliac and there was no assistance for gluten free options whatsoever. This was our first visit to a restaurant during the pandemic and I was shocked by the apathy of the staff and more so the complete lack of hygiene. In a time when I would have thought they needed business there was no customer service or reassurance in the current situation. Just on another note I ordered a glass of wine and I have never seen such a small offering of a mediocre wine for £7.00. From a hygiene safety point of you I would not recommend attending and it is not suitable for Gluten Free. All in all a terrible experience.

Surprised to see a couple of negative reviews below - our experience on Saturday afternoon was fantastic. Food absolutely mouthwatering, everything down to the focacia bread and orange zested olives was delicious. We shared a bottle of italian white, I have forgotten the name but it was gorgeous. The Polpo in Soho is one of my favourite destinations - yes this location had a different flavour but it was definitely up to the same standards. Service was incredibly rapid - in a strange way almost too rapid, because we didn't want our experience to end! Staff friendly and incredibly efficient but not overbearing.

We did not book so had to wait about 15 minutes for a table but that was fine. Small with lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and wonderful food.

I had been to Polpo Soho some time ago, so was looking forward to tasty food. However, this was well below my expectations. The Aperol spritz was weak and flat, and my food lacked flavour. Service, though pleasant, was very slow.

Disfrutamos de un servicio muy amable y eficiente de nuestra camarera. Este restaurante tiene un ambiente animado. Está ubicado convenientemente para The Saatchi Gallery y Sloane Square.

Polpo is obviously far too important to bother with vegans. With no markings on the menu, I was handed an allergen document and told that dishes couldn't be altered. There were only 2 suitable dishes, roast potatoes and a bean crostini. They did graciously agree to remove cheese from a salad for me. With the wealth of Portugese produce at their fingertips, surely Chef Patron can invent a couple more vegan tapas offerings?

Pedí un filete de pescado a la parrilla y estaba totalmente quemado con un sabor amargo muy malo. Como pescado todos los días en diferentes restaurantes, los mejores. . . ¡Y fue el peor pez que he tenido en mi vida! ! ! ! ¡No recomiendo este restaurante, mal servicio y pérdida de dinero! ! !

Qué agradable sorpresa, nos detuvimos antes de visitar la galería Saatchi. El personal era agradable y atento, nos recibieron en la puerta. La comida y las bebidas que pedimos fueron traídas a nuestra mesa notablemente rápido. La comida era buena, con un menú adecuado. Sin duda volveremos en nuestra próxima visita a Chelsea.
