Plough Inn in Rhondda Cynon Taf

I am visiting local pubs to rate the Guinness, first up The Plough in Aberaman. It gets served a lot here which is a positive start, the glass was clean and the bar lady took her time with pulling the pint. So far so good. After it settled the head was thick and creamy, it survived the tilt test which is important to me and when finished the rings of froth on the inside of the glass were defined nicely. As good as it comes locally I'm guessing. By the way it tasted very nice. 4.5 out of 5.

Pub 12/13 of our Golden Mile! A huge let down for our penultimate pub of the night. The room just seemed extremely bare. But the biggest let down was the bar man. He genuinely seemed like he didn’t want to be there and talked with incredibly poor attitude. Only thing saving this from a 1* was my first taste of blood orange cider on draught instead of a can. Absolutely delicious! Also the last we saw of one of the boys as he headed home. Drink up, let’s boo boo!

We were there for a party, so obviously that helped, but the atmosphere was great, the drinks were a reasonable price, and the bar staff were fantastic. Great night :)

Carling not to great, nice pint of Coors light. Atmosphere very good, music available if you want to pay. All in all good night for a weekday.

Was a really nice place to drink before lockdown but has been recently refurbished to look alot more upmarket, landlady and staff are always friendly and service is always quick and done with a smile. Drinks are always cold and full of life. Hopefully the carvery will reopen soon as their food was delicious. Overall, if you want a quiet drink, game of pool and a smile behind the bar i highly recommend the plough inn

Absolutely loved our stay. Fantastic atmosphere in bar and our room was spotless. Nothing was too much trouble. Definitely going to stay here again.
