Pizza Hut in Stevenage

I have visited this Pizza Hut several times in the last month for their “Bluffets”. They currently offer unlimited pizzas served to your table when ordering through the app, alongside a pasta dish and the sals of your choice. The pizzas are small but cooked fresh and hot!! On one occasion they ran out of the deep pan option after ordering which was annoying as I have never been a fan of thin base and therefore our lunch was not as enjoyable. However, staff here are lovely and hospitable. They work extremely hard attending to everyone’s requests with the new buffet system. Last week we were served by a waitress with red hair (who previously worked at the leisure park Hut) and she was just brilliant and an absolute asset to this branch, which made our dining experience even better. I hadn’t returned to this specific restaurant in years as the other hut would always be my go to as I felt the standards were much higher but this one has definitely improved over time.

Thought I’d give this place another go after my experience just under a year ago (review underneath). - the price for the buffet advertised outside was wrong - they refused to keep it going past 3 pm. We just walked out. Once burned, twice shy. Never, ever again will I visit that Pizza Hut.

Took my two boys for lunch here today, received fantastic old school customer service from a young man called Cameron and another young chap (blonde hair, didn't get his name) - really couldn't do enough for us and it was reassuring for me to see both of them adhering to COVID19 safety regulations.

Came here for my brothers 13th birthday. Upon arriving we were shortly seated to our table with menus. After deciding what we were having we sat there for 20mins waiting for someone to take our order as this is what happens in every other pizza hut we had been to but there was not one member or staff in site for a long time. We then managed to speak to a lady who was slowly cleaning a big table which had been sat there messy for quite some time and she informs us that it is order at bar which would have been nice to know when we were seated but hey ho... pizza came out quite quick which was good but seeing as it is fresh it tasted quite flavourless and could have had a frozen pizza from asda which would have tasted better. We then had deserts and i had asked them to bring out the cake which i had given them as it was a birthday and they literally just did that... bought out the cake with lit candles. Couldnt even be bothered to sing which isnt that hard and would have made the experience better. Staff need to learn a bit of customer service as most the time we were there everyone was literally hiding out back having a giggle. Definitely will not be coming back or recommending...

My family visited during peak time (5:30pm on a Saturday) for my daughters 5th birthday. The salad cart was basically empty, the ladies toilet were out of order, men’s & disabled were unacceptably filthy. I had to take a four year old to a shop to find a clean toilet during a storm!! The food was below average and completely overpriced, especially the starters!! The portions were tiny for the price!! No response from customer service within 24 hours. Definitely not somewhere I would return to.

The visit started badly with no welcome and being told off for sitting at a table god forbid you want to buy pizza and a fizzy drink. Well all fizzy drinks were out of stock and various toppings were out of stock but to fair to the cook he did offer alternatives then alternatives to those as these were also out. I was given a non vegetarian pizza the restaurant should be on top of the vegetarian and allergy issues. The salad counter left a lot to be desired and the restaurant was not very clean Service was very slow over half an hour for coffee and tea. I suggest you visit another restaurant on the retail park until Pizza Hut up’s it’s game.

No refillable drinks as machine had broken down, some pizza toppings unavailable, stuff missing from salad bar, and pizzas so drowned in tomato sauce that the very sparse servings of cheese and toppings slid off when tried to cut up. On plus side, staff were very nice, and food arrived pretty quickly and was well cooked.

Two parents, three young children sat on a table in the corner at the front of the restaurant. I, as a lone customer, was placed on the table next to them. The behaviour of this family was absolutely horrifying. Two of the children, whom I hate to say were filthy (not the children's fault), were being allowed to shriek at the top of their voices without a word from either of the parents. I know children sometimes do this but any decent parent would put a stop to it after a while instead of allowing it to continue in such an uncivilised manner for the entire time. When one of the children, after getting bored of throwing pizza crusts on the floor, decided to dump an entire plate of crisps on the floor (which had just been fetched by the grunting father) I expected one of the parents to say something. To my surprise, not only was nothing said, they both watched the child do it. It is not for me to tell parents how to discipline their children and I wouldn't ever dream of doing so. It's that the discipline with this family was non-existent. I saw the mother of another family, also with three children (who were extremely well behaved might I add) sitting near-by, look over in horror at their behaviour and saw her say something to her partner who shook his head and shrugged his shoulders in disbelief. As a roughly one thousand review contributor on TripAdvisor, it is rare for me to give less than four stars and an even bigger rarity for me to give a terrible rating of just one. My reasons for the terrible rating, based on my experience, are as follows: - Despite members of staff watching this family, management failed to act. Whether this was on purpose, was out of fear of the families reaction, or simply due to incompetence, I am unaware. - A smiling young man kept appearing with a broom and a dustpan on a long handle to sweep up bits of food that were being thrown on the floor. I had ordered the buffet and the pizza had run out, so I was sitting at my table waiting for the pizza to be replenished. On one of the occasions when this young man appeared to clear up food from the floor, I asked him if the pizza on the buffet had been replenished, to which he replied "yeah, probably" and walked off. I'd expected him to say something like "one moment, I'll check for you" as he was walking off and then come back and let me know but he didn't. I'm sure he didn't mean to be but he came accross as rude. - The buffet pizza, despite the restaurant being fairly busy, was like cardboard. Tasteless, undercooked underneath and overcooked on the top. Assuming that a busy buffet would mean a high turnover of food meaning it's a bit fresher than perhaps a less-busy buffet, I was surprised to find that the fresh pizza appearing on the buffet also tasted like it had been under a hot lamp for some time. I've eaten buffet pizza at pizza hut many times before (I used to work in St Peter's Street, St Albans many moons ago!) and never had this issue with fresh pizza. Whilst the staff cannot be held accountable for the behaviour of a few feral humans, they can for failing to act. A terrible experience from start to finish.

Staff friendly and efficient and the food was really good. Restaurant clean and tidy and I was impressed with the meticulous way the staff dealt with a broken glass. They searched a very large are just to be certain. Only thing I wasn't happy with was the new idea of going up to the counter to order your good rather than table service. Assume this a corporate decision so not this restaurants fault

Just picked up a takeaway & was told to collect in 20 minutes. Arrived at the restaurant 20 minutes later & was told that my pizzas were in the oven and it wouldn’t be long. Another 25 minutes later I finally get my pizzas. Make the 5 minute drive home and everything is stone cold!!! Absolutely disgraceful!! Would have complained there and then but the guy who got his order just before me was speaking to the manager but was basically being told about that it could take 20 minutes or 45 minutes - nothing they can do about it!!! What?!?!?! Ridiculous!!! Will not return!!!

the service was awfully slow and took ages to get our food. the food was tasty however not exactly worth the long wait. not the best i've been to but not the worst. with enough improvement on service and speed it would be much greater than before.

Came here for the buffet on a sunday afternoon, different ordering system to usual at this pizza hut (we usually go to the one at the leisure park). You are taken to your table then you have to place your order at the front, help yourself to cutlery, plates and sauces. When we arrived the table next to us had not be cleared from the previous customers (although a staff member had started by leaving a spray bottle and cloth on the table and aborted mission). The salad bar was all fresh, although there didn't seem to be as much selection but didn't matter too much. The pizzas were all hot and tasty but did take a while to be replaced once empty, so a bit of a wait for more. There was only a small amount of the bolognese pasta which was never refilled but the cheesy pasta was very nice. The other table next to us was cleared fairly quickly after the customers left but the other one mentioned earlier still wasn't when we left. Not too sure what was wrong with this one?! Would recommend this pizza hut for food, not so much for service though.

A different set up to other pizza huts I've visited, with order and pay counter then self service. You collect your own cutlery and sauces etc. Friendly staff although there is notmuch interaction with no table service if you have the buffet. Buffet was well stocked and tasty. Refill drinks machine had cloudy water apart from that all ok Would definitely visit again as its good value for money

Normally go the Pizza Hut on the leisure part but while out shopping thought it would be worth a visit. We were seated quickly and the staff were friendly. The restaurant is self service for ordering like Nando’s. The salad bar is not managed well with it looking untidy and not very full. The pizza was nice and arrived prompt. The decor has been updated, but the toilets do not match the restaurant while clean very dated and feel like an old B&Q warehouse feel. Could do with looking at water machine looks cloudy and warm?

9 January thought we’d have a nice salad and pizza in Pizza Hut. What a disappointment, salad was very limited looked limp and lifeless. Pizza was tepid and very quickly lost what heat it had. Just one member of staff on tables and door. She was wearing a t shirt and sweatshirt the air was on cold obviously as she was working hard the cold air was on to keep her cool, leaving what few customers there where still wearing there coats while eating. Most of us were frozen. Don’t use the toilets they are digusting, look at the vents there solid with dust. No toilet paper, the plug holes are thick brown I’d hate to think what germs you could catch! I’m a housekeeper. This place needs basic cleaning.

Popped in with family for lunch. Firstly we we greeted by a member of staff who said he would need to check a table was available. He then seated us, grunted and walked off. We waited, not realising that you no longer get served at the table and need to go up to the counter to order. It would have been nice that when we were seated if it had been explained to us about the change of service. Upon choosing our meals we went up to the counter to order. The lady serving was grumpy and sarcastic, obviously wishing she was somewhere else. We paid collected our drinks and went to the salad bar. The salad looked as though it had been out for far too long, with selections from one pot mixed into others. Bits of food had also dropped onto the floor. Dare I mention the toilets? I held my breath whilst in there and luckily had tissue on me as the toilet roll was soaking wet and torn. The floor was sticky, disgusting.

Went in to this restaurant for a change as we normally go to the one in the leisure park which I’ve never had a problem with and seated in a small 2 people table, it was cold being seated near the door everytime someone opened the door a big gust of cold came in.....didn’t help it was snowing outside so cold wind was ten times worse.

In the Pizza Hut on the Roaring Meg Retail Park they have recently updated the decor and changed the way you order.

This place is tucked away on the roaring meg retail park so it's quieter than the other one in the leisure park. Would say its pretty much a family place - lots of people with young children. Small for a Pizza Hut but comfy and the usual array of soft seating and booths etc. They have gone for a waitress-less style in terms of taking your order, and lots of the food is help yourself (presumably to keep staff numbers down), so you go up to the till to order your food or help yourself when it comes to dessert or salad. There are usually deals for families and the pizzas are pretty bog standard. It's kind of what you expect. Not bad but not something to remember. Good when you just want a meal out without fuss or hassle.

This used to be a lovely restaurant however not been here in a few years and weren't impressed. Flies around the salad bar, most salad bits were empty. Food on the floor. Pizza was tasty tho. Staff un-friendly and not dressed very smart!!! Much prefer the roaring Meg so will eat there next time

Ok came in just before 3pm. The time is 15:58 as I write this and still no pizza. One staff member has been busy chatting to what appears to be a table of other staff / managers. Leaving one other staff member to do every thing else. Clearly customers are not important here.

Era da tanti anni che non mettevano più piede in un Pizza hut. Ci siamo tornati per superare il pregiudizio che ormai avevamo in noi ma ne siamo usciti di nuovo delusi. La formula è interessante, puoi mangiare quanta pizza e quante proposte vuoi di pasta, verdure, cous cous, salse ecc ecc.

Welcoming, easy going, fast service, tasty food - everything you'd hope from a pizza place. Prices weren't cheap but we did use a taste card which made a huge difference - would definitely use it again.

Very noisy, paid for Pepsi refills as there are many flavours to try - I love Cherry. When they brought it out told me they don’t have the drink machine so just regular Pepsi in my glass. Ask if I want a refill.

Took my granddaughter for the buffet when she was on half term, the place was nearly full and had to wait for a table. Eventually sat down, after our drinks order was taken, we proceeded to the displayed pizza/pasta area only to find our favourite pizza had ran out, we asked a member of staff who informed us that it was presently being cooked. we selected other fillings plus salad and started to eat as our granddaughter was hungry.

Chose the buffet but none of the pizzas were labelled and had to ask what some of the toppings/flavours were. Sauce spoons were engraved on the handles with the flavour but it certainly was not obvious and I wouldn't think to look there! The pizzas were tasty but the experience was not one I'd be excited to do again in a hurry. The place seemed rather tired and old fashioned although it was reasonably priced for a quick lunch after shopping

Arrived for a spot of lunch with my wife, only to be informed that the buffet wasnt available and there where no chips as they had run out (pizza and chip restaurant with no chips how bazarre) humoured the waiter by ordering a large sharing pizza and salads. Eventually found a clean bowl and selected from the minimilistic salad choice. When the pizza arrived i was handed a filthy greasy plate, 3 further attempts before i received a clean one. Is it any wonder i was violently sick for the remainder of the day.

Wait for a booked table. Took ahes for waiter to come over to us. Salad area messy and disgusting. Toilets were filthy and after telling a waiter they said its dirty cause of kids...well done so because of that boone should clean it.avoid

My partner and I arrived and had to wait 5 minutes before being seen to to be seated - which is normal but the restaurant was empty.I ordered a bottomless glass which I was told I couldn't fill myself as they didn't have the facilities - again that's fine, but I never got to see my server until the bill finally arrived so ended up paying £3 for a glass of coke...The pizza was hot, tasty and was replaced regularly.Sadly after one too many poor visits to this establishment we won't be returning, the staff are not attentive and the customer service is awful.

Went with a group of adults and children. The staff looked like they were all from school. Not one adult or resemblance of an adult. The food was as expected but the service was no where near. Plates were left on the table and had to be asked to be removed. I askedbto speak to the Manager and she was really apologetic and offered to reduce our bill by 50% and free dessert. If only the staff were like her there wouldn't be a problem.

Ich habe auf einer Ferienreise durch England in Stevenage Stop gemacht und einen Abend hier gegessen. Feine Pizza, schnell und heiss serviert. Mr. ROSSF. macht einen super Job, top motiviert, aufgestellt, einfach gut!!! Genug Parkplätze und eine sichere Gegend. Mir und meinen kids hats gefallen, gerne wieder.

Our server Kayleigh was amazing, I came to the establishment with my partner and she made us feel very welcome! She gave personal recommendations and was very friendly! By far the best member of staff here!Connor skelsey

This was our first time at this place and we had a tasty meal and excellent service. Waiter was friendly and professional. Salad bar has plenty to choose from and is good value for money. We will be going back and recommend this place.

We have not visited a pizza Hut for many years. However we were pleasantly surprised. Our young child enjoyed childrens meal. We had a sharing pizza which was excellent. Overall good value for money. The decor is a bit worn and toilets are tired. Good customer service even when staff are busy.

Popped into pizza hut for something to eat I haven't been there for a while. We were seated straightaway had to wait ages to see a waitress even though the place was nearly empty. Eventually we got served but I noticed customers were being told there would be a long wait and yet the place was empty.the place itself has no atmosphere and is covered in cobwebs over the top of food.The food itself is still good shame it is looking so dated.

We went here tonight for our sons 6th birthday. I must say the customer service we received was absolutely brilliant. The two waiters were efficient, quick and making sure everything was ok. They also made our sons birthday more special by blowing up some balloons and giving it to him and his brothers. Would 100% return. The restaurant was also very clean.

Lovely pizzas, buffet deal is good. Shame there is always a huge queue though. Could be a bit expensive at times.

Have been here several times for the lunchtime buffet and have nothing but praise for my visits. There always seems to be a great choice of pizzas compared to some other branches. Have been on busy and quiet days and been very impressed. The staff are efficient and helpful.

I didn't go for most people would order. No salad, no pizza. I just had 2 starters and a juice drink. That was enough for me that night. Both starters were large portions though :)

I like the selection of buffet pizzas and pastas, the kids love the ice cream factory and they do actually have salad when they are there! The milkshakes are good as well in the milkshake glasses!

Unfortunately didn't get to eat here. Arrived at 6pm midweek to a half full restaurant. We were told we were welcome to look at the menu, but the waitress informed us that she wouldn't get to us to take our order for at least 30 minutes as she had four other tables to serve and she was on her own. She looked incredibly stressed out, and gave a huge sigh as she passed another table who asked for their bill. Incredibly bad planning by management when 1200+ away football fans are travelling to a venue about 200 metres away and very unfair on the young member of staff.

My son, his wife, 4 young children and myself and my husband went to Pizza Hut for my sons birthday. My son chose 4 children's meals for the children which was good value for money. My son, his wife and myself and my husband chose a large pizza to share. We chose the large meat feast pizza with BBQ, I do like pizza but this was horrible, could not taste anything on the pizza only the BBQ sauce. The service was very good, a bit milatry, but a little bit over the top, she was a nice young lady, though.

It never fails to amaze me pleasant staff lots of pizza free flowing 7up a few minor complaints not many puddings and no pumpkin seeds with the salad

Pre-booked so got seated immediately Food – Ordered 2 large pizza’s to split between 4 adults & 2 x separate kids meals, the small healthy salad bowl can be fill up as often as you want. We had a lot of pizza left at the end to take home in a ‘take-away’ box - ALL VERY GOODThe drinks (beer) are expensive, coke is unlimited refills - although you can always order a jug of tap water, which is served with ice and FREEKids had a serve yourself ice-cream desert, which is also UNLIMITED Atmosphere – Clean and tidy - Mostly seating are circular booths, looks a bit dated nowadays and a bit tricky if someone wants to get out – OKService – Waitress was friendly, worked hard and deserved the tip at end – VERY GOOD Give tips in cash as it seems that pizza hut retains 30% of any tip you give on plastic - What a liberty! (all my tip goes to the waiting staff, not towards a fancy yacht!) Price Range – Good value – you get another voucher with your receipt and the chance to win a cash prize on completing a survey (but you will probably ‘drown’ under the 1000 other emails you get sent!) Overall - Recommended

This was a post-Christmas / New Year Shopping trip; for me it was going to be Brunch as I'd skipped breakfast :-)A very warm and pleasant greeting at the entrance and very quickly shown to our table. We elected for the Buffet lunch; no sooner than we had got the Pizza and trimmings our coffee was delivered to our table with the Garlic Bread side order. Pizza Hut was full to capacity but even so the service was excellent; our Server Ellie, checked back a couple of times to make sure we had everything we wanted and I can honestly say we did.I have no doubt that I/we will go back to the same Pizza Hut when we are on another Retail Therapy excursion in Stevenage.Well done everyone, especially Ellie

Rude staff got a normal pizza instead of requested stuffed crust, dirty sticky floors where drinks have spilt and not be cleaned under our seats, staff to busy gossiping to each other poor for a pizza hut refuse to go there and highly un recommend

Visited on a busy Tuesday evening, the restaurant was mainly filled by football supporters about to visit the nearby ground. The usual Pizza Hut fare is well presented, and even though under pressure, the staff were friendly and efficient

If you want pizza hut go to the roaring meg friendly service unlike here. Rude staff buffet pizza cold. No waiter attention large stuffed crust crust was given with wrong toppings staff rude and it's freezing and filthy in there. Staff seem untrained and not poliet at all. Will never return to this branch.

waited an hour for pizza that then arrived cold. restaurant absolutely freezing. manager non-existent. should have known to avoid... rubbish and will not be back again

Went for lunch with my mum. The only fault was the salad bar didnt have much choice. But considering i wasnt there for the salad it didnt bother me. The gluten free pizzas are the best at pizza hut. Really nice and fresh. Defo recommend. Wish they would do gluten free pasta tho.

We visited here as a birthday request from an 8 year old and although he thoroughly enjoyed it me and my partner were not impressed. after a look at the menu we picked two of the £13.95 option for one starter, one pizza and a bottomless drink, and the childrens pizza, drink and ice cream factory. Everything was basically what you expect from pizza hut, but its nowhere near as nice as i remember and there are much nicer places doing things at a more reasonable price. Starters were ok, adult pizzas were typical pizzas, nothing special free Salad bar was nice, although there were plenty of duplicate dishes eg two cucumber troughs, two tomato two lettuce etc so it looks more than is actually there. Then my partners sons pizza arrived and it looked like something from a frozen bargain shop. there was barely four pieces of pepperoni on it, it looked mega greasy and tiny. Bottomless drinks we thought was a nice touch . . . until we tried them, the machine you get them from dispenses about twenty different flavor drinks from one single spout so you get a taste of whatever the person before you had and i suspect they have the mix wrong as it tasted very syrupy and flat.i would not visit a pizza hut again after this experience as there are other much nicer pizza restaurants available for a similar or lower price.

3 of us came to this restaurant, had to wait 15 minutes for a table which is fine but the waiter was so rude, for the table after 15 minutes, was basically left to it, went for the buffet, once we had already got food a waiter arrived and took down what we got! On the hot buffet there was 2-3 pizzas out tops at a time and hardly any of each, none were labelled or said which were vegetarian or not, I ate the salad bar was the easiest option. The drinks you serve yourself, the cups all had sticky fingerprints on so I had to hunt out a clean one. Good variety of drinks. The restaurant was packed I was seated so close to another table I had to get out of my seat to let the woman out!

Been here a few times over the years and never had a problem. Staff have been very friendly and never have had to wait crazy amounts of time for my food to get delivered. The food has been nice and hot, can't fault it. Would of been a 5 if it wasn't so expensive.

Very disappointed by seeing pizza being thrown onto a plate by children and then they put it back.We went for a friend's Birthday (6 of us) and we booked a table for lunchtime buffet. The plates were cold, and the buffet wasn't a buffet because we had these really rude children who took all the pizza and then played with it before placing it back. The staff did nothing to change the food that children played with and they basically stayed there until someone picked it up and ate it or they were cold and covered with finger prints. The selection of pizza's at the buffet wasn't particularly great. The counters were messy with tomato sauce/melted cheese/crumbs everywhere. I guess the bad experience was probably due to the lack of care/manners/attention from parents.When fresh pizza was served up, people swooped in and snatched them instantly... not a very nice atmosphere with children and adults a like fighting for food!

Craved a pizza hut pizza in the week & havent been there for years. On my order there was a cheese allergy on one of the pizzas, whilst waiting for our order the manager apoligised and said we would have to wait a few more minutes as the pizza was made correctly but was cut with the cheese knife so had to be remade. This really impressed me.The pizzas tasted fresh and reminded me of my childhood! Also I was ordering bit separate and the manager showed me a deal where I saved money.Staff we very helpful and jolly.TOP MARKS PIZZA HUT!

I hadn't eaten at a Pizza Hut for years - being on a diet most of the time - to which pizza is not friendly.However it was a birthday so I had to go...It was ok.Seated quickly.Staff very polite - but bowls for salad, and drinks took quite a while to turn up - not sure why as the place was virtually empty.They have some reasonable deals on in the afternoon - quite cheap.Pizza Hut has never been my favourite pizza - and this visit did nothing to change that. It was OK. Edible. Nothing wrong with it - but I won't be breaking my diet any time soon to go back.

Yes, that is right - 'Rated 1 star because you can't rate zero!'. After watching a film at Cineworld we decided to venture to eat at Pizza Hut on a Friday night; a party of 5. We were asked to wait and they'll have a table ready for us, that's fair enough as we didn't book but what wasn't fair was waiting 10 minutes without any news - we had to ask two members of staff until we were seated.Disappointed from the offset, they put together 3 tables of two, in an awkward position where barely any of us could fit! The restaurant was only a quarter full when we arrived & we were hoping for a booth, there were 3 available! But we figured they were all booked.Menus were given after 5 minutes very abruptly with no apology, at this point we were strongly considering leaving for another restaurant such as Nando's but stuck by. Drinks orders were taking after another 10 minutes, we have now been at this establishment for 25 minutes & our drinks were only just ordered - outrageous!Waiter then assumes we're ready to order our meal without asking, we had only just looked at the menu! Nonetheless we rush an order, the pizzas arrived within 20 minutes during which we helped ourselves to a standard salad bar. Overall there were no complaints about the pizza but no praise either, very average but I guess for the price acceptable...Every time we attempted to call over a member of staff for refills, we were ignored - maybe deliberately to limit our "unlimited" drinks? We only refilled once as a result of this.Two of us ordered the "unlimited ice cream", we had to ask for bowls and what was about to happen to us was very unfortunate and disgusting. The ice cream was of an almost luminous yellow colour which we decided to ignore, upon eating a few spoonfuls we realised it was very watery & left it at that! Aching stomach afterwards, not nice!Roughly £17-£18 a head and I can hand-on-heart say that it was not worth it, waiter who neglected us throughout the evening did not return our change - expecting that we left him a tip, how ironic! Tip to the management, teach your staff some basic hospitality skills!Very disappointed with this as I have always seen Pizza Hut as a good quality, good service chain restaurant - clearly not at this branch! Will look to go elsewhere next time!

I arrived here with my husband yesterday at 2pm, we left at 3.15pm having not eaten. I'm under no illusion that Pizza Hut is a restaurant, however its one step up from other fast food eateries and they have a fresh salad bar, hence the decision to eat there. I guess what I'm trying to say here is that I hadn't set the bar particularly high in the first place. So first of all we are shown to an un-set table, waitress apologises and says she'll be back to take our drinks order in a moment. That took 15 minutes. We then ordered 2 standard pizza's from the menu, nothing fancy a margarita with mushrooms and a peperoni pizza on thin crust bases, very ordinary. They had unfortunately run out of mushrooms, not a problem standard margarita then. So just to set the environment for you, it’s not very busy I’d say 2/3 of the tables are occupied when we arrived this thinned out rapidly. 25 mins passes and two tables that came in after us are being served their Pizza’s, hummm a further 15 mins passes and we decide to leave. I pay for the drinks and leave. So my review of the Stevenage Pizza Hut eatery is this, thoroughly disappointed. Under no stretch of the imagination does it take 40 mins to cook a Pizza Hut Pizza, so what on earth were these people doing? Foraging for mushrooms to try and deliver on my original order. I highly doubt it. The excuse offered was the order in which pizzas go into the oven. Customer Service people, it’s very easy to get right but so many businesses get it so horribly wrong. Whatever the reason for the delay, tell your customer what’s going on, or send over a free cup of tea or something and don’t look surprised when people vote with their feet. What a waste of a couple of hours, shame as generally the cheap and cheerful approach of Pizza Hut hits the mark.

Service was Good, polite staff! However both my friend and i were ill overnight with severe stomach issues, we had same starters and salad (From the salad cart), different pizza's. Its hard not to make a connection. Not sure which course caused it, but would not go back! The place was not busy at the time we visited, 3+ tables occupied. Some staff seemed bored and fed up, they were keen for us to do a review.. so here it is!

Had to wait 10 mins for a table even though it wasn't that busy.. Staff just walk past you and don't even acknowledge you. Ended up seating ourselves in the end..Waitress came over and took our drinks order (we went for Buffett) went to get some pizza, came back and drinks had arrived.. Lovely. Second trip up to the hot counter and there was no pizza!? Took about ten minutes for them to bring anymore out, and when they did they didn't apologise for the wait. Had refillable drinks but weren't at any point asked if we would like another, had to go up to the till and ask for drinks and to pay the bill! Wouldn't return, very very poor service!

Staying in the Novotel, pretty much the only choice on a sunday evenng after 8pm if wishing to avoid the pricey hotel restaurant. Hurry though, because it closes at 9...

Usual Pizza Hut fair. All in all food was good. However service was very good despite being busy. Salad bar was well stocked and fresh, as was the ice cream factory area which is usually a mess in an Pizza Hut due to kids being messy. On the whole the restaurant was clean and well laid out. Only complaint if I had to really give on would be the toilets where tired. They where. Clean just a bit out dated

Food tasty and brought home what we didn't eat which was a lot. Salad bar unlimited and fresh had lovely meal and pleasant staff. Nice seating in booths and separate tables

Was out late shopping (picking up DIY stuff) and got too late to go home and cook so we thought we'd try this place. Bingo - good choice. The choices are wide, although I have to say the menu is VERY confusing but a very helpful waitress came and sat with us to explain how to work it out. We got seated immediately and were even asked for our own preference on where we would like to sit. The salad bar, which came free with our orders, was very good, all very fresh, lots of interesting choices and nice choice of toppings like chopped jalapenos, crispy onions, etc. We had one stuffed crust with seafood and one 'pizzetta' which is a lower calorie option. Both were excellent. The seafood one had a generous supply of big king prawns, cooked to perfection. The pizzetta slice was thin, crispy and absolutely delicious. The soft drink was unlimited and the waitress came over frequently to make sure we were ok and see if we needed anything else and refill our drinks. I particularly liked that the menu had plenty of options for people with dietary needs, ie vegetarian, gluten free, etc. Couldn't fault it - particularly our waitress who was lovely.

Food was fine - normal Pizza Hut food, but the service was so slow getting a table took 10mins even tho there was plenty free, and then waited ages for my order to be taken and then ages again to get the bill.Could do with a bit of a good carpet clean and toilets was really bad.

We hadn't been to pizza hut for years and got the opportunity to go today.It was almost full, but we still got quick service. We ha a very attentive waiter who was back giving us free refills as soon as we'd finished and came back several times during our visit to check everything was okay. We shared a half and half large, pan pizza, which worked out around £7 each. This was more than enough and cheaper than buying two regular pizzas.The salad bar was also free, which we enjoyed.Overall, the service was fantastic and the restaurant had a great atmosphere and very clean toilets. Will definately go back another time and have one of their weekday lunch time buffet deals.

I was really pleased to read in the press that Pizza Hut were now launching a gluten free pizza in their restaurants.The pizza was really delicious, thoroughly enjoyed it.The service was very good, friendly and helpful

Not a lot else to say.....Saturday night and they have run out of pizza base! Sort of ruins the experience!

A little bit of dirt doesn't hurt anyone but it was filthy. Went there for a meal after cinema and had to wait quite a long time before someone came to seat us. Took us to a table that was dirty. The floor around it was dirty. The cutlery was dirty. It was just really dirty. I'm not a clean freak by any means but there was food from the previous meal everywhere. Made me lose my appetite a little.Asked to be moved and that was done well by the staff. It wasn't even that busy. Had probably 5 tables of 2/3 max. Got seated. Floor was relatively clean. Cutlery wasn't clean so asked for new ones. Food was standard really. Was full enough from it. Value of food was okay I guess. It was just filthy. Staff were helpful enough. Would be last choice if I'm ever in the area again but wouldn't say no to going back. Could be improved.

I eat at the leisure park 3 - 4 time sper week for business reasons. Unfortunately like so many restaturants in the area, the management chose not to invest in staff numbers or training- with the result that this restaurant generally loses at least one custoemr per week,ie me. The food, if it arrives, is generly OK. The saving grace for Pizza Hut is that it is usually the emptiest of the bunch....

dry, flavourless, under topped pizzas sold at ridiculous price, that is if they havent sold out of the base that you want!! Not the place it used to be, wont bother again would rather pay for a pizza from Bollywood Balti, a third of the price and twice as nice :))

Decent buffet at lunchtime and for a reasonable price, however I do find their pizzas a little pricey for lunch? You could easily spend over £30 on starters, pizza and drinks! Would not be my first choice as a Resturamt, but is ok if we are in the area and fancy pizza!

I have always prefferred Pizza hut since a kid. There was always the lovely bases. Now, I am inclined to go here more ofter that other higher class pizza places. More for your money and I enjoy the food better. At this one on particular there aren't that many distractions whihc distract from the meal such as screaming kids. Free salad buffet. Bring it on

A post xmas meal as fed up with all the cooking. Staff were very friendly and salad bar well stocked. With Pizza hut you get very much the same whichever resturant you go to, but I have to say the staff made this one worth revisiting.

We purchased an additional bottle of wine shortly before closing and only used 1/2 a glass, we were told we could not take it with us! The reason was given that the restaurant was not licensed to sell alchohol to be taken off the premises. This is the only time that we have suffered this aspect of licensing anywhere in world?

I have never been too keen on Pizza hut but i am pleasantly surprised with the new menu deal. Kids eat free every day and the adult meals are really good.Staff explained everything and the atmosphere is good. There is another Pizza Hut on the large retail park which is not good but this one is well worth a visit.

It's Pizza Hut in a retail park, what more can I say, easy parking, pizza salad, pasta, can get busy at weekends.

I wanted to share a very unpleasant experience that I had at Pizza Hut Restaurant , Roaring Meg , Stevenage today on 06th Nov 2008.Very disappointed and disgusted with waiteress and another person probably the duty manager for the day for there very unprofessional conduct in customer service, a little bit intimidating behaviour, for giving me worse customer service experience of my life.There are a number of things which happened since we came into Pizza hut thanks to the waitress, her rushed tone and her annoyance with something and then the duty manager's incompetene in handing complaints.Please avoid that terrible place.....

I think it's a really good restaurant, except you have to wait quite long to get your food. Also, to get the bill....

It's much like any other Pizza Hut in terms of the food served - bog-standard, affordable and filling pizza. Service is fine and the restaurant is clean enough.
