We had a lovely Easter evening at this place!! The food here is absolutely delicious! We only had good comments about the food. My wife had the Classic Lasagne and the Mozzarella caramelised onion garlic bread, while I had the Garlic Tiger Prawns and Chicken Romana, which is my favourite. There is a genuine concern for the visitors by the staff. They were cool and attentive 👍 Also very neat and tidy place and we will definitely visit again

Staff and always really lovely and very helpful. Food is really good and arrived quickly. It's a shame it's always so dead in there, last two times we've been there by ourselves mostly other than one other table

When we went there was only one person serving. People started to leave after long waiting. The food was cold and the portions really small. We paid £70 for 2 adults and 2 kids.

Had a group Xmas meal there, staff were very accommodating when we sought a different table set-up. My Peri Peri Chicken Penne would have benefited from a bit more chicken.

This was a great meal with excellent service to boot. Our waitress, Lisa, was fab. This old work mate reunion was made all the better for her engaging manner and super service. The food was classic P.E. ; decent, fresh and very tasty. One thing to avoid is the side salad. Total rip off price wise, it consisted of a few leaves and a couple of tomatoes for nearly £5. The main reason it’s 4 star and not 5 for me is that the restaurant itself looks tired and in need of a refurb.

Wildwood has gone downhill. The employees are incompetent and lazy. They take orders which they can't fulfill, they are rude over the phone and unapologetic. Always exceeding the initial delivery time (by 40 minutes today). The food is delicious so the kitchen staff isn't the issue.

I’ve been coming to the restaurant since it opened about 2017, the food is always good, service good too. I can never quite figure out why the place is not more popular as it’s a very good mean at a good price considering the town and the food offer available here. They have a strong range of gluten free dishes and while it’s probably. It quite busy enough for the owners, it’s good in the sense that patrons get good service, good food and it’s not too noisy.

Booked a table for 22 of us including 12 kids, two large tables in a separate area at the back had been set aside which was ideal. Lisa provided faultless service and we all left happy and well fed. Would definitely book again for a large group.

The food is hit & miss ,I had Risotto which was very bland Chicken & Asparagus, so was a little disappointed and some dishes are very overpriced.

Very pleasant dining experience, we had booked a table in advance and we were shown to our table immediately, the service was very good without the waitresses bothering us, the food was excellently presented and it tasted beautiful whilst being competitively priced, very impressed and will try to go again when we are next in the area.

Came on mothers day and service was great. There were plenty of gluten free options to choose from (for starter and main) which was great for myself and we all had an enjoyable meal.

Unfortunately it was very quiet when we went so the atmosphere was a bit meh. But service was great and thr food was nice.

Yes I know it’s a chain but the quality of food does vary from restaurant to restaurant! We booked our table for 5.15 as we were heading out to the local theatre afterwards. I had the padana pizza which was the tastiest one I’ve had out of the branches I have visited, my friend had the vegetarian cannelloni which she really enjoyed! We didn’t have dessert as we were too stuffed! It got very busy towards the end of our visit. There were a couple of issues. One was with one of the drinks and the other with the bill in that the app had not taken off the cost of the free dough balls. However both these issues were dealt with by our lovely server Lisa, without fuss or question 👍 Lisa was attentive, helpful and very pleasant. We had a nice evening

Brentwood's Pizza Express has been part of the town for almost 30yrs and is still one of the best places to eat locally. The staff are great and the layout is perfect for birthday parties and gatherings. We love it and can only hope locals continue to support it and keep it open.

Came here as a casual lunch with my mum. It was quite busy but a table was found for us straight away which was fine. Frosty and cold service though. I ordered the vegan zucca leggara and my mum ordered the american pizza. Both came quite quickly, the lady then went on to say ‘are you actually vegan’ and luckily I’m not, I’m vegetarian because they had smothered my pizza and salad with salad dressing that is not vegan friendly. My pizza was tasteless and the crust was undercooked. I had to ask for salt and pepper and the lady went, it’s quite tasteless isn’t it, do you want some chilli, I don’t like spicy food so opted not to have extra chilli. My mums american pizza was also undercooked but because we just wanted to eat and get on with our day, we ate what we could and paid. Cold service, mediocre food and it doesn’t look great that the waitress knew the pizza was good. Also if you have vegan options, make sure the chef is keeping it vegan. Probably won’t be returning here.

We had come here for a Christmas meal for a group of us who go out once a year. My wife and I arrived 20 mins before the booking. We were left hanging around the doorway for a few minutes, by waiting staff determined to not catch our eye. Finally:“Table for two?”“No, we’re here for the big group booking”“That table’s not till 8 o’clock”.“Okay”Big pause.“Would you like to wait at the table?”As opposed to what, I wondered? Standing in the doorway for another twenty minutes?So, rather underwhelmed by the unsmiling welcome, we were escorted to the featureless corridor/back room where the tables were set up. A row of those uncomfortable tables for two which nobody can get their legs under, due to all the ironmongery. This part of the restaurant had air-con blasting frigid air all over us. I kept my jacket on. At least six other members of the party kept their overcoats on. Apparently, the air-con couldn’t be turned off in that part of the restaurant. Which made me wonder... it’s late December... why have the air-con on at all? Most of us are coping perfectly well at home without blasting our rooms with icy air. Most of us, I dare say, have the heating on. Not Pizza Express! To be fair, one of the more senior members of staff did his best to move the tables out of the cold, but it really did become like sitting in a corridor, then.Next up, the warm beer. Pizza Express are a pretty poor show when it comes to beer. Someone asked for a pale ale. “We have Thatcher’s” – a cider! – was the response. Anyway, all the beers they had were at room temperature. “Problem with the fridge”. Why not leave them out the back, it’s cold enough outside? Next person, "Lemonade, please", to be greeted with "We're out of Sprite".Many of us, including me and my wife, had been asked to pre-order food a few days earlier. Surely that would make things easier? No. Our order was forgotten, and we ended up eating 90 minutes after the booking time, after all our friends had finished. Everyone who had pizza commented that theirs was cold. “At least ours will be nice and hot”, I thought, freshly-cooked and all that. No. Wrong again. Both of our pizzas were lukewarm. Then out came prosecco for most of the party. In wine glasses. They’d run out of flutes. And the restaurant wasn't even busy; half-empty, in fact.Then, the pudding course. We didn’t have one, but the same problem happened again to others; pre-orders were forgotten about, had to be reminded, and some people’s puddings arrived when others were being swept away, having been finished some time. And don’t get me started about empty bottles being left on tables...Honestly, I hate to write a bad review. So far, I never have. But this was awful on every level. Everything that could be bad was bad. The welcome, the service, the food, the drinks, the temperature... awful. And yet Pizza Express down the road in Billericay is pretty good. They suffer from serving lukewarm pizza too; but the welcome, the service, the atmosphere, the temperature... all so much better.I will definitely not be returning to the Brentwood branch of my own free will.

The staff are always excellent and very attentive and welcoming to our child as well as us. The pizzas are always perfect as is all the food. A firm family favourite and thought here is much choice personally we say best in Brentwood.

Quick bite to eat Saturday evening - got to love a pizza express voucher.

After swerving the local wetherspoons (which has got a bit scruffy) we popped in for lunch, I had dough balls followed by an american classic pizza & my partner had caesar salad followed by pizza with a salad centre.

Rude waitress. Threw food at us, no eye contact, no conversation. Very disappointed. One waitress showed us how it should be done. A slight glimmer in a very poor pizza express. Small and cafe like.

We’ve eaten in here loads, typically with Tesco vouchers. We were just reflecting how every time, the food is good but far better, the staff are always so wonderful and welcoming. My daughter is always treated like a princess and fussed over and we’re so grateful for the lovely mid week treat. Can’t speak highly enough of the place!

I would never expect high end dining from a Pizza Express, I do expect good service, good food and a bubbly ambience. We got the first, but were lacking in the second and third.

I went to this restaurant last Friday with my son, daughter-in-law and two grandsons we were served by a very cheerful and helpful waitress called Lisa. My grandsons ordered dough balls which they really enjoyed we all had different pizzas and every one was well cooked and very tasty. We finished with coffee and desserts and the boys had brownies which they have decided are the best ones they have had. The staff are very friendly which makes the atmosphere great and all the customers seemed to be enjoying their evening. Would recommend to everyone I know.

My daughter booked for 6pm on a Tuesday. She telephoned and asked in advance if. We could take a birthday cake for our 7 year old granddaughter's birthday. Was told it would be fine. On arrival we were seated with no problem, very nice lady. We secretly gave the cake to one of the serving staff who took it.

Had a really lovely lunch using our Tesco club card points. Three courses each was lovely and service was very prompt and polite. Will definitely return.

Last night I experienced Pizza Express in Brentwood. What a tacky restaurant. The meet and greet was joke, the woman just looked blankly at me when I quoted the name who had booked the table. Staff were surly everything was a fuss. The food was good and came quick once ordered. Access for disabled people is non existent! How in 2018 are companies allowed to operate with no ground floor toilet facilities? Access to the toilets was up an ancient iron helicular staircase which was very dangerous. The toilets are gross very small and dirty. Needless to say I want be returning!

I was at a loss as to what & where to eat last night. My fiance and I couldn't decide. Brentwood has many places to choose from, and we decided on Pizza Express. Haven't been to a Pizza Express for ages and was extremely pleased on the choice we made. We were never rushed or left unattended. The starters & main were great and the selection of both food & drink top draw. I had the Leggara Padana for main. Loved it. Too full for dessert, so we'll have to return. Left very unsatisfied with first experience. While eating our sides and pizzas we saw an offer displayed on the small leaflets on the table, it included instructions of signing up, asking a member of staff for the table number and pay by app. Naturally, we showed the member of staff the leaflet and asked him for the table number as said on the leaflet, and asked him how it works. Clearly this shows we were interested on the offer, we asked the man and he said he would check for us, then as it says on the instructions we paid using the app. The staff never got back to us to update us, we waited for about 20 mins for our pizza that we claimed but never got. We humbly asked the staff again and he said "you paid on the app? Then, it's finished." As customers we found that answer outrageous, it was blunt and rude. It was also upsetting that he didn't even bother to at least tell us, until we asked. If we didn't ask, we would've waited for much longer. We explained that we asked him about the offer and he bluntly responded "I can't do anything about it. It's finished." This led to an argument as the staff was rude in tone and claimed we never told him we were interested in the offer, he also tried twisting our words saying we only asked for the table number, when we clearly showed him the leaflet with the offer and asked how the process worked. We ended up leaving but very disheartened at the disgusting response of the staff. Guys it was a very bad experience and unforgettable. Don't take your family to that place otherwise you can experience bad things too.

I came here with some friends on a Sunday so the restaurant wasn’t busy at all really. Our waiter was lovely took our drink and starter orders promptly. We had dough balls to start which tasted good- although not hard to get wrong really. Our mains were good as well as dessert except they had run out of one of our desserts which I would’ve expected had it been busy but never mind I suppose. We had a good time except for the constant staring and rude faces from the waitress working. It put a little bit of a dampener on our evening as we felt whatever we did or laughed at we had eyes staring at our heads. Maybe she was having a bad day but it really made us uncomfortable.
