Took over 2 hours for food to arrive - this is 1 hour and 10 minutes later than scheduled. Pizza Express informed us that there were no drivers available for a long time.

Visited on a quieter evening, so the service we got was really good and quick. We didn't have to wait long at all for our food, which was really delicious. The new peach drink that was on the menu was really tasty and sweet! It's a bit on the pricey side, but there were definitely no complaints from our standpoint.

Pizza in edible, hardly any cheese on just tomato sauce.

We called in, myself and my son, today for lunch. Cheese dough balls and olives to start. Pizza and Calzone, couple of scrummy puds and drinks. Everything was tasty, service was bang on, just the right level of attention, flying through this because I really want to focus in on one thing. To the Chef behind the counter... I bow down to you with my hands in the air! Now I have had way too many Calzones to own to! But Never .. I repeat Never anywhere even close to this. It arrived as this pillow, cooked to perfect colour and sprinkled with just the right amount of cheese. As I cut into it I realised just how thin she had managed to get the dough so it didn't overwhelm the contents, the second half retained it's pillow like shape, zero flop, it didn't go soggy at all but was not like cardboard, still was soft to bite into. This is now the standard to which I will measure all future Calzones, Thank you all for a wonderful lunch and siting us under the aircon which we really appreciated today xx

Even though I politely asked in the notes for it to be hot and fresh as it was for a special meal. Nice delivery drivers but unfortunately it was all cold on arrival, and had to be heated bit by bit in our airfryer as our oven is broken (hence why we needed it hot)

the large pizzas base was as thin as a sheet of paper,and im not even exaggerating. I don't think it was 30 grams of cheese on all 3 pizzas in total. the large pizza was so thin that even if the delivery was made on time, the pizza was cold as ice. first time when i order pizza from here and most likely the last time. i WOULDN'T recommend ever, avoid getting ripped off.

The Calzone was very nice and they accommodated my request for no chillies in it !

We had ordered a take out from Pizza Express and were shocked when opening our little containers. We paid £28 and received a tiny pizza, a minute portion of garlic mushrooms and a dough ball dish resembling the size of grapes. We will never visit again! The service was the only good experience and was fast and friendly. The dough balls were extremely small, much smaller than I have ever had eating in, and half were not edible as they seemed undercooked inside. The gluten free vegan pizza was dry with one !!, yes one measly little cherry tomato on it. Although gluten free pizza bases can be tricky, this was brittle and tasteless, more like an overly toasted thin flat bread. The size of it ridiculous. For the garlic mushrooms, you had to find them with a magnifying glass, it was just a bit of sauce at the bottom of a very small carton.

Always good value in good surroundings, food is available for any taste and they cater for allergies if you ask the staff, they will tell you which don't contain particular items. Would definitely return again

There were only a handful of tables occupied; we were seated promptly and ordered within 5 mins, starter came and was such a let down. We ordered chilli garlic prawns and there was only about 4 prawns there and they’d been sliced in half ? To look like more, I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️ but there was only 4 prawns and it was around £9! Shocking value. Then we waited for over half an hour for our mains, 2 pizzas. There was around 3 or 4 chefs in the kitchen, only us another couple of tables waiting to eat. Half an hour for 2 pizzas is ridiculous. No one seemed bothered that it was taking so long. 1 starter, 2 pizzas and 2 drink £50!! I won’t be returning. Pizza express need to sort it out because that experience was abysmal. Gave more than 1 star because the pizzas were ok.

placed an order Christmas eve, arrived on time but pizza was cold. also sent me big empty paper bag that should have contained halloumi bites I ordered. absolute joke considering how expensive it was for 2 items.

Was slightly late but can see this was due to the restaurant not driver as he left and got here quickly. Pizza small for price and not much flavour there was a part in the middle that had no topping and halloumi felt soggy. Not the worst but wouldnt order again

The pizza is barely 10 inches at a price that i would call expensive for a large pizza, it was pretty much cold by the time it got here, laterally nothing to it, barely any cheese

The food was stone cold! The chicken was like rubber! The butter dip was just a blob of butter in a pot. This was my first and last time ordering.

The app shows me delivered but i didn’t receive the food.i ordered again and paid again,because I’m hungry. That is absolutely not good.

The service was terrible. I came in yesterday around 9 and stood by the till for almost 15 minutes. I only wanted to takeaway and there were tables everywhere and only 3 of them were occupied so the staff didnt look very busy. An older woman was walking around and she didnt acknowledge me, other staff were also walking around and didn’t bother with me so I left and went to nandos round the corner. Terrible staff they didnt make me feel welcome

Generally love Pizza Express but tonight’s experience in Doncaster was poor. Firstly they forgot to put onion on my pizza so I got raw onion added. I wouldn’t have highlighted this on it’s own but then at 9:59 our friends asked to order another drink while we finished our wine and we we’re told they stopped serving at 10 … I commented that it wasn’t quite 10. The waitress went to ask and we were told they stopped serving at 9:50. We were the only ones in so I guess they just wanted rid of us but we had no offer of desert and they refused to serve us before 10pm let alone 11 so I wouldn’t go back. We would have preferred them to turn us away rather than seat us and then want rid.

Lovely food, our second visit to this pizza express and we will be back. Some staff are more friendly than others but can't really grumble as it they are all good with customers from what we could see. First visit a staff member talked us through the menu and her recommendations were spot on...she new her stuff. Keep it up.

Go quite regularly, always a good atmosphere, great staff and food is excellent hats off to the young chefs the manager and the team members keep doing what you are doing and make sure the beer is cold!! 👌 we will be back

Friendly staff, good service, our server left about 5pm, she was lovely - didn’t get her name but always lovely when we go. Recommend honeycomb cheesecake! Wasn’t too busy for a Saturday at 4.30pm either ahead of going to watch a film next door. Lovely meal :)

Been out to Pizza Express for tea tonight for a special occasion and had a really nice evening. Everything we had was delicious and the pollo pesto is to die for and nice big portion. The staff were friendly and looked happy in their work. Our server (a young lady called Lois) was very helpful in going through the menu and answering our questions and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant is also very clean and had a good vibe. Already cannot wait to go back. Credit where credit is due. 5*

Overpriced, chain restaurant. Go elsewhere for more authentic flavours and cheaper prices. You hardly get any toppings here. Ashamed

I wanted to leave you guys full stars but still put a review on due to what happened. Our delivery driver (who works for justeat not pizza express) stole our food and I rang the restaurant who were very apologetic, and I had to reorder and get a refund from justeat for the first order. My husband went to collect instead.

The order came missing pepperoni on the pizza.

Delivery driver too lazy to get out of the car and walk to the front door to deliver food. Barely spoke english and expected me to go outside and walk around to find him. Useless. Why do you bother having a delivery fee if you aren't going to deliver it properly.

Pizza was only just edible, borderline burned. Chicken pieces were ok.

Had some Tesco vouchers we cashed in an this was 1 off places to go an we've never been. So thought why not. Staff were really welcoming in an arrival an all way through service. Food was really nice I don't really dig Italian but had the burnt ends pizza witch was beautiful and very filling. Kids meals are great for price. An deserts were bang on. Only gripe was nearly 4 pound for a lemonade that wasn't even half a pint off it. But was really nice. Definitely go again

I work in London each week and use many Pizza Express in central London and around Victoria, I have always had consistent service, quality of food, and really excellent between, each one of them, and to be honest faultless over the years. My wife booked a bowling session, and I Recommend using Pizza Express, given that the approach should in theory should be the same, well how wrong you can be. Pizza Express in London is mainly consistently busy, this one was at best had 12 ish customers and as many staff. We ordered and waited over 35 minutes for the food, not that express, in fact awful given the place was empty. My Pizza was cold, and the ingredients were sadly lacking. All in all a shocking experience Vs how the brand normally operates. The atmosphere was lack lustre and, well no one looked remote interested. Think needs some intervention by the external management team. Will not be visiting again. The brand in general is great, this one needs special measures!.

Date of visit - 11th Feb We had a table booked for 7:30. We arrived early and they were more than happy for us to dine early. We sat down and within minutes, me and my boyfriend knew what we would like. The waiter (Aidan) came over and we ordered. I had no idea what romana base meant and Aidan was quick to tell us. We asked for tap water and got given a bottle of water. The food was hot, fresh and tasty. By 6:15, they was getting busy. Aidan cleared our plates and we asked for the bill. Aidan was serving a big table and forgot about our bill, he rushed over with the bill, he was very apologetic. We said "We didn't mind waiting as we understand your busy" Would highly recommend going.

Me and my Mrs went for dinner food was not up to our expectations quality and quantity both. Order king prawn starter there were no king prawn at all, just serve shrimps also order wing as starter and they came cold. Very much surprised about Pizza, couldn't beleive pizza Express serve such poor quality pizza. Didn't impress at all, won't come back. Sorry
