Pizza Express in Doncaster

Sorry but not been here for a good few months thought it give it a try for something different but what a shame £197 4 of us with no difference to a fast food place, staff were good and trying to upsell as most do but everything has got smaller, the pizza was smaller than before, the layout wasn’t like before as massively cut costs to the point it’s what’s quick and cheap. The experience i thought they can’t be bothered any longer ether Sorry but at that price it’s a weeks shopping for nothing more then having a take away as something extra, this place just didn’t work no wonder people don’t go back Yes I am in business myself but work out the costs pizza and drinks around £25 person, that’s with profit at £100 but almost £200 for similar to McDonald is just greed We won’t be back again sorry it’s just not worth it, better to have a party at home As a level 8 guide in Google this is one place for a night out I wouldn’t recommend

Ordered a takeaway to be delivered. Three items Ordered, one was missing. Called and got the whole " sorry, it's been so manic, I've hardly any staff " story. You had to count to three.....

Didn’t have big expectations but the place exceeded them. Calamari was fresh and tasty, pizzas were delicious and Mac and cheese were also very tasty was nicely surprised by it all. Tiramisu was okay a little dry, however the honeycomb cheesecake was really lovely.Will definitely come back:) the 3course offer is definitely worth it.

I wanted to congratulate the team at Doncaster PizzaExpress. The service was friendly, Josh the manager was excellent, very attentive to everyone in the restaurant and the pizza was perfect thank you Dan. We were visiting to introduce my Australian in-laws to PizzaExpress and it was a perfect visit.

Pizza was nice enough, wings were nice as well, no complaints there. HOWEVER. They list drinks as "requiring a bottle opener" and a price of £3.30 suggested it was a large glass bottle. What I received was a normal can of coca cola. for £3.30 which is an absolute rip off. I've never known a company mislead customers so much, it's disgusting.

Excellent quality, hot and fresh pizza. The Padana is always delicious and never greasy. With the bundle deal, I can get a calamari and a pizza which gives me, basically three meals for 15 quid.

1 pizza fine. The gluten free pizza was a mess with all ingredients on one side of the pizza. Clearly no pride taken

Garlic bread tasted like a donut with cheese, mushroom dish was inedible, and carbonara was tasteless overall I’d never order from here again complete waste of money and left hungry as unable to get food provided

First disappointing experience. Order arrived stone cold! Took over 20 minutes from food collected to delivered and driver sat outside another restaurant for over 10 mins. Food would have been lovely but just super cold.

Just had a lovely meal at the Doncaster branch at the dome, food was great. And even tho their were only 3 staff on, with the restaurant bursting at the seams they managed to keep calm and get the food out hot and very tasty. The 2 ladies and the chef deserve a medal. If not a pay rise.

Took over 2 hours for food to arrive - this is 1 hour and 10 minutes later than scheduled. Pizza Express informed us that there were no drivers available for a long time.

Visited on a quieter evening, so the service we got was really good and quick. We didn't have to wait long at all for our food, which was really delicious. The new peach drink that was on the menu was really tasty and sweet! It's a bit on the pricey side, but there were definitely no complaints from our standpoint.

Pizza in edible, hardly any cheese on just tomato sauce.

We called in, myself and my son, today for lunch. Cheese dough balls and olives to start. Pizza and Calzone, couple of scrummy puds and drinks. Everything was tasty, service was bang on, just the right level of attention, flying through this because I really want to focus in on one thing. To the Chef behind the counter... I bow down to you with my hands in the air! Now I have had way too many Calzones to own to! But Never .. I repeat Never anywhere even close to this. It arrived as this pillow, cooked to perfect colour and sprinkled with just the right amount of cheese. As I cut into it I realised just how thin she had managed to get the dough so it didn't overwhelm the contents, the second half retained it's pillow like shape, zero flop, it didn't go soggy at all but was not like cardboard, still was soft to bite into. This is now the standard to which I will measure all future Calzones, Thank you all for a wonderful lunch and siting us under the aircon which we really appreciated today xx

Even though I politely asked in the notes for it to be hot and fresh as it was for a special meal. Nice delivery drivers but unfortunately it was all cold on arrival, and had to be heated bit by bit in our airfryer as our oven is broken (hence why we needed it hot)

the large pizzas base was as thin as a sheet of paper,and im not even exaggerating. I don't think it was 30 grams of cheese on all 3 pizzas in total. the large pizza was so thin that even if the delivery was made on time, the pizza was cold as ice. first time when i order pizza from here and most likely the last time. i WOULDN'T recommend ever, avoid getting ripped off.

The Calzone was very nice and they accommodated my request for no chillies in it !

We had ordered a take out from Pizza Express and were shocked when opening our little containers. We paid £28 and received a tiny pizza, a minute portion of garlic mushrooms and a dough ball dish resembling the size of grapes. We will never visit again! The service was the only good experience and was fast and friendly. The dough balls were extremely small, much smaller than I have ever had eating in, and half were not edible as they seemed undercooked inside. The gluten free vegan pizza was dry with one !!, yes one measly little cherry tomato on it. Although gluten free pizza bases can be tricky, this was brittle and tasteless, more like an overly toasted thin flat bread. The size of it ridiculous. For the garlic mushrooms, you had to find them with a magnifying glass, it was just a bit of sauce at the bottom of a very small carton.

Nice atmosphere,welcoming and pleasant staff.Everything was clean. The food was very good and plenty of choice.

Always good value in good surroundings, food is available for any taste and they cater for allergies if you ask the staff, they will tell you which don't contain particular items. Would definitely return again

There were only a handful of tables occupied; we were seated promptly and ordered within 5 mins, starter came and was such a let down. We ordered chilli garlic prawns and there was only about 4 prawns there and they’d been sliced in half ? To look like more, I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️ but there was only 4 prawns and it was around £9! Shocking value. Then we waited for over half an hour for our mains, 2 pizzas. There was around 3 or 4 chefs in the kitchen, only us another couple of tables waiting to eat. Half an hour for 2 pizzas is ridiculous. No one seemed bothered that it was taking so long. 1 starter, 2 pizzas and 2 drink £50!! I won’t be returning. Pizza express need to sort it out because that experience was abysmal. Gave more than 1 star because the pizzas were ok.

placed an order Christmas eve, arrived on time but pizza was cold. also sent me big empty paper bag that should have contained halloumi bites I ordered. absolute joke considering how expensive it was for 2 items.

Was slightly late but can see this was due to the restaurant not driver as he left and got here quickly. Pizza small for price and not much flavour there was a part in the middle that had no topping and halloumi felt soggy. Not the worst but wouldnt order again

The pizza is barely 10 inches at a price that i would call expensive for a large pizza, it was pretty much cold by the time it got here, laterally nothing to it, barely any cheese

The food was stone cold! The chicken was like rubber! The butter dip was just a blob of butter in a pot. This was my first and last time ordering.

Very fresh food. Waitress was amazing. The air con was set on freezing though. We all went to get a jacket from our cars.

The app shows me delivered but i didn’t receive the food.i ordered again and paid again,because I’m hungry. That is absolutely not good.

The service was terrible. I came in yesterday around 9 and stood by the till for almost 15 minutes. I only wanted to takeaway and there were tables everywhere and only 3 of them were occupied so the staff didnt look very busy. An older woman was walking around and she didnt acknowledge me, other staff were also walking around and didn’t bother with me so I left and went to nandos round the corner. Terrible staff they didnt make me feel welcome

Generally love Pizza Express but tonight’s experience in Doncaster was poor. Firstly they forgot to put onion on my pizza so I got raw onion added. I wouldn’t have highlighted this on it’s own but then at 9:59 our friends asked to order another drink while we finished our wine and we we’re told they stopped serving at 10 … I commented that it wasn’t quite 10. The waitress went to ask and we were told they stopped serving at 9:50. We were the only ones in so I guess they just wanted rid of us but we had no offer of desert and they refused to serve us before 10pm let alone 11 so I wouldn’t go back. We would have preferred them to turn us away rather than seat us and then want rid.

Lovely food, our second visit to this pizza express and we will be back. Some staff are more friendly than others but can't really grumble as it they are all good with customers from what we could see. First visit a staff member talked us through the menu and her recommendations were spot on...she new her stuff. Keep it up.

Go quite regularly, always a good atmosphere, great staff and food is excellent hats off to the young chefs the manager and the team members keep doing what you are doing and make sure the beer is cold!! 👌 we will be back

Friendly staff, good service, our server left about 5pm, she was lovely - didn’t get her name but always lovely when we go. Recommend honeycomb cheesecake! Wasn’t too busy for a Saturday at 4.30pm either ahead of going to watch a film next door. Lovely meal :)

Been out to Pizza Express for tea tonight for a special occasion and had a really nice evening. Everything we had was delicious and the pollo pesto is to die for and nice big portion. The staff were friendly and looked happy in their work. Our server (a young lady called Lois) was very helpful in going through the menu and answering our questions and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant is also very clean and had a good vibe. Already cannot wait to go back. Credit where credit is due. 5*

Great Food, great service, the Burnt Ends Pizza is a must , nice little treat after watching a movie next door 😋
