This is an awful place to eat, the quality of the food is poor and it is overpriced for what you receive. We had booked for lunch as we were going to a matinee performance at the theatre. The tomato salad was not available as they had no tomatoes, there was only one cheesecake and a limited choice of other desserts. The Caesar salad was basically some lettuce, a few bits of chicken and a few croutons, there was no dressing and not an anchovy in sight. The lasagne was cold and despite being sent back did not improve the temperature. The rocket salad side dish was just a few leaves of rocket, no dressing and a barely noticeable dusting of Parmesan. The desert was basically a scoop of ice cream with a few tiny marshmallows and chocolate bits. We all left hungry. The only redeeming part of the experience was that the waitress was very nice, welcoming and apologetic.

Wish I had read other reviews before going. Booked here for pre theatre lunch as it seemed easiest. There is a food court in the shopping centre which might have been better and would have been just as easy. I ordered a mozzarella salad and what arrived was actually a starter dish which included some mozzarella (worked this out when I got home!). I said 'shouldn't this have tomato' and the waitress took it away and added a couple of cherry tomatoes to the plate. I then noticed the absence of basil but the waitress never came anywhere near us again and time was getting short so I gave up and ate what I had. Charged full price for wrong dish. Chaotic as mentioned in other reviews. Husbands pizza was OK although no mushrooms available.

The restaurant is situated within the theatre, so ideal to eat before the performance (so we thought!). Hugely disappointed! Booked for 5.45pm, but an issue to get in (theatre does not open until after 6pm). The 2 lads serving looked hugely disinterested and indeed, proved, it was about 25 mins later we were asked if we would like a drink and if we wanted to order. The food arrived shortly after 7pm (so just time to eat that before the 7.30 performance time), so ‘bad luck’ if you wanted desert or coffee. At the point the food was delivered we were informed one of the main courses wasn’t available! Bit late to order anything else! To be fair, the pizzas were nice, but for the price, it seems it would’ve been better to order and just ‘rent’ us the seating area! Good job the show was great which saved the evening.

Slow service, not a big area just two waiters. Order taken then approached again by the other waiter!! So not that well organised. Dough balls were small, hard and not appetising. Pizzas - generous with the cheese but the dough was awful, under cooked. Disappointing visit. No, didn't complain about the food as if that's what they serve, that's what they serve. Just not to our liking. Off to Pizza Express next time when going to the theatre!!

Noticeably tasted different from previous visits sadly for the worst! If not for the foyer location I would have given it naught. Shen Yun however is a different story a show stopper!

We didn’t know there was a pizza restaurant so we just asked if we could be seated when we saw it. We were worried that we didn’t have enough time to eat but the food came quickly. We really enjoyed it and the kids menu was just right. Staff were nice, chatty and really took care of us. Next time we will definitely book in advance !!!!

My second visit, it apparently has a new manager and I certainly saw the difference, Great pizza, great service. Love the Burrata! Makes eating in time for the show so easy. Would be great if it was moved back out the front where it used to be

Awful! Food was mediocre at best. No lasagne, no lemon cheesecake, no doughballs. Only saved from getting no stars by the smiley staff. Whoever pays their wages should pay them double. If it wasn’t for them we’d have walked out.

Absolutely useless. We turned up 15 minutes early at 17:30 and they said they were not ready, we went back at 17:50 and the same door staff weren't sure if we could go in, however we were let in and directed to a table for 2, there were 3 of us! Once I pointed that out we sat down and our orders were not taken until 18:30, that was after having to tell them my name 3 times to 3 different people. At 19:00, we were then told that the chef was overworked and that we would not be getting any food. In fact they managed to serve a table of 10 (wrongly) and another couple who ordered after us. I mean they literally only do pizzas (because there was no lasange). I wish I had read previous comments prior to booking. I expect now I'll have to fight for a full refund although they promised they have our name and refunds will be given. Couldn't organise a drink in a brewery if their lives depended on it.

Since it's not our first time we took a chance on the King and I show We walk -in and in Luck! I had the Diavola this time and the Boss had the Bianca. Dare I say the quality of the Pizza's served here is unmatched It's cheesy it's mint tasty. so I couldn't understand the nega comments featured of late as it does not reflect the whole experienced we both had. Pizza Al Teatro deserves more accolades definitely

We went for pre-show dinner last night and it was really awful, sadly. The pre- show menu is limited anyway but as we arrived we were immediately told that the burrata starter and main were off as they had no burrata. Not a problem so we sat down. We ordered a pizza each for our main courses and then dessert, but we were then told the lemon cheesecake was also not available. With only three desserts on the menu this limited our options but we changed to the ice cream sundae. The waitresses seemed somewhat confused about which orders were going to which table and one brought out two pizzas and took them to another table where a lady said this is not my pizza, I ordered mushrooms on it. I heard her say these look like grapes on this one. I looked over and said no, they will be olives and I think that’s for my Mother but the waitress took it back to the kitchen only to bring it out again a few minutes later and give it to my Mother. The other table waited for a second pizza but the lady who was waiting for mushrooms on hers waited and waited whilst her family tucked in. One if the two waitresses then brought the charcuterie pizzas out for my husband and I. I looked at the ‘olives’ on all of the pizzas and ate one - they were indeed grapes! I called the waitress over and said these are grapes not olives and she said you were told that they would be grapes because we have no olives. I said we were not told that but you can’t replace olives with grapes. She shrugged her shoulders and took the pizzas away again and some minutes later brought them back out minus the sweet grapes. Needless to say, the pizzas were now pretty cold but as we were running out of time before the show was due to start soon, we ate the cold pizzas. The waitress then brought out the ice cream sundaes. The vanilla ice cream was so powdery we could not eat it and the chocolate ice cream was frozen solid so we left it. To add insult to injury, I had paid in advance for this two course meal, so there was no whiff of getting a discount for a terrible meal for three that cost £75.00. It was like eating out in England in the seventies, just more expensive! We won’t be back sadly but what a shame for Woking when you have a captive theatre and cinema audience. How can you go so wrong with pizza and ice cream?

What a disappointment! A planned leisurely meal pre show was anything but… Firstly, there are only max 20 covers ( 18 on this visit ) and we arrived, having booked, at 18.10. Drinks arrived promptly but we were informed that 1 of the 3 starters was unavailable. Our cold starter ( delicious by the way ) took 40 mins to arrived…remember there are only 18 covers…and then we were told that they had run out of dough so only one of us could have the pizza ordered…my partner had to switch to a chicken Caesar salad. The mains arrived ( again food delicious) but no cutlery…they had run out! 2 forks eventually Materialised and I then pointed out that there were spare on the 1 unused table! How on Earth can you offer a limited service …both covers and menu and then run out within first 10 mins?? Such a shame as food and staff were good but set up leaves a lot to be desired. At least the show was stress free! Sadly we shall be finding alternative eating arrangements for our next theatre visit.

We arrived for a pre-theatre meal at 6:30pm allowing plenty of time, we thought, before the show started at 8pm. First I was served with a warm beer. They apologized and eventually found a cold one in the other bar. When I later ordered a second beer they hadn't had the foresight to put some in the fridge so I had to go without. We ordered pizza, there was nothing else on the menu, not even a token pasta dish or lasagne for anyone who didn't want a pizza. Their menu is not available on the internet so this came as a surprise to us. The Bianca pizza was mainly ricotta cheese but the texture didn't seem quite right, it certainly wasn't nice. The Verdura pizza was not very nice either being totally overwhelmed by far too much cheese. Our pizzas took a very very long time to arrive and despite allowing 90 minutes for dinner we didn't have time for dessert before the show started. However I think we were lucky! The adjacent table were informed that they were not going to get their dinner because the chef was having problems making pizza. If they can't actually make pizza then maybe they should consider their options.
