Picnics is a surprising diamond in the rough, drawing the local workforce like moths to a flame. It has a good range of solid food with daily changing specials, you must try its classic spicy chicken wraps on the first visit then come back go try the rest. All servings are bursting at the seams and if theres not something on the board but is feasible to make, all you need to do is ask. I am always left satisfied and exit with a smile and a ful belly.

Went up there for a quick brunch being intrigued by a long queue standing on the street. Having tested the food in this takeaway cafe I am no longer wondering that people do not mind queueing. Quality of food being served up there is really high and portion sizes are decent. It's definitely one of these places worth checking for a very reasonably priced takeaway breakfast, brunch or lunch.

Cost me £2 for a hot filled roll and a coffee. Both were delicious! Couldn’t recommend more. And the coffee was a very decent size too!

A superb breakfast and lunch takeaway, Picnics has a little something whoever you are, with their beasting doubler breakfast butties at £2 a pop it's unbelievable value; you won't need to eat much else for the rest of the day. Lunch is a whole new ballgame in there with Spicy Beef and Spicy Chicken burgers, a variety of amazing curries, perfected macaroni cheese and lasagne all of which you will not be able to finish not to mention their locally famous Spicy Chicken Wraps which also stretch the waistline. For people that can't handle a full meal for lunch there are still perfectly cooked baked potatoes, large soft filled rolls and daily homemade soup. The special thing about Picnics is they prepare everything themselves on the day they sell it. Don't forget - if you visit Picnics make sure to pick up a slice of cake made in store by Mr Mos Homebaking.

A variety of amazing homemade Scottish food at cheap prices. Good for a quick bite or a proper takeaway. Their pizza is the best (try one with tuna, sweetcorn and red onion) along with delicious cakes starting at 80p per piece. The people working there own the place so the quality of food and service is always high.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the first class lunch served to us at the Wednesday Lunch Club in The Gift Tree Corstorphine. Started with a delicious Amuse Bouche. Followed with cheese and broccoli quiche. Served with baked potato and coleslaw. Pudding was a scrumptious berry crumble with custard. Together with a hot drink. Excellent value!

This is a church cafe run by volunteers. It says it is an outreach cafe and an asset to the community - but this is hardly the case when the prices are off putting and more expensive than most cafes run as businesses. A very poor cappuccino cost £3.40 and my baked potato was nearly £8. It is set up in a church hall and the volunteers are pleasant but not exactly efficient (my baked potato was left on an adjacent table until I asked where it was). All the members of our table had their food delivered at different times so some were finished before others had started (we ordered together).

Me sorprendió mucho encontrar jugo de caña de azúcar fresco en Edimburgo. Me encantó el servicio! ¡Excelente producto y buen falafel vegano también! Lo recomiendo encarecidamente.
