Pepe's Piri Piri - Greenwich in Greenwich

I ordered Paneer Rice from Pepe's Piri Piri (Greenwich) but received chicken instead. As a vegetarian from a Hindu family, this mistake deeply hurt my religious sentiments. When I contacted the store, they denied any error despite clear evidence. Very disappointed with their response and lack of accountability. This is especially disheartening because a year ago, I left a positive review praising the wide range of vegetarian options, the excellent taste, reasonable prices, and generous portions. This recent experience has completely changed my perception of this place.

I've been eating at various Pepe's locations around London for the best part of a decade now, and they very rarely disappoint, the Greenwich location is no exception, and is probably one of the best around. The staff are friendly, the shop is clean, and the food is always fresh and piping hot. Don't expect to get your food instantly, it'll usually take 5-10 minutes, but it's always well worth it! The chips are always deliciously crispy without being greasy, and the chicken always tasted delicious. Certainly tastes a lot better than a certain well known peri peri chicken chain!

This shop was amazing at the start But has gone down hill day by day for the last few months Also they are frauds - because the drink manager does not work they are charging every1 for a lunch meal and giving them a can of Pepsi bearing in mind that can of Pepsi doesn’t fill a lunch cup The food has totally gone down hill Also you ask for things and you get totally different Absolutely disgusting now This was the best chicken shop in Greenwich but now not so great !!!! 😡😡😡😡

Good food. There were concerns about bringing food from next door, but they made a kind exception and allowed my family of 11 to eat together. Thank you!

I visited the store on Wednesday 25th around 7pm, and it was very busy when I walked in. I have been coming to this PEPES to get food for a couple of months now and I really enjoy it as I heard it is a great place to eat. There was a girl at the till she looked new to me (she was wearing glasses) as I had never seen her through the months I was coming to eat here (sorry don’t know her name). The girl that was at the till she was very respective and very friendly. The customer service she provided I couldn’t believe it, I had never seen someone give such excellent customer service. She was talking to me and asking how I was, I was very happy because all the times I have been there no one had asked me this but this girl on the till did. I would like to say that the food was very very delicious I ordered a chicken XL meal and chicken and rice box both hot. The taste was very mouth watering. The till girl made the atmosphere look very lively. When she was taking my ordered I felt at ease and respected. She has a really lovely character. I had a spoon missing in my chicken and rice and I asked her and she was very polite and told me I will give that to you right away. It was so busy and she was making sure all the customers were getting everything they wanted which made me really happy because she was providing the best customer service ever. All I want to say is don’t let go of this girl she has a very bright future at PEPES. Thank you. I will be recommending your PEPES to all my friends with such lovely customer service. Thank you. I read a review not far undermine that said this place is better than nando's and to be honest, i couldn't agree more. Definitely worth a visit if your passing by.

I've ordered a few things from here and the food has always been great, and on time. I would recommend if you have not already been.

Just ordered a 1/4 pounder cheese burger with an extra pattie and fries from this establishment. Now, im a huge foodie, eaten lots of different foods around the UK and abroad. Burger fan too, and know a good burger when i eat one. But. From this establishment the burger meat is a cheap low quality basic burger, very similar to something you'd buy in the supermarket (but you wouldn't buy it twice). It's virtually tasteless, texture isn't great, and it was dry, not juicy and flavoursome at all. The crown of the burger bun was completely dry too, no sauce or coating to add flavour, when considering there were x2 burgers patties in the bun, only 1 slice of cheese was found "underneath the bottom of the two burger patties" with a bit mushy looking lettuce and onion in some kind of white-ish looking sauce. And it WASN'T generous or decent sized piece of cheese. The chips were tasteless and i dont think they were fresh, from experience when chips that aren't fresh start to cool ... they become hard. Or, it may be that it's simply a cheap chip. This is the kind of low quality food that you'd expect to buy from a run of the mill takeaway late night after a night out on the drink for just a fiver. The food is shockingly poor quality, and over priced. The owners of this business should be ashamed of serving up such low quality food at a price of £10.50 for a cheese burger and fries. Im leaving this blunt and honest review because i'm tired of ordering food that appears to look good, but turns out to be typically over price garbage. These types of establishments think is acceptable to serve up low grade food. Its NOT acceptable. Lastly, if there was a option to give zero stars in the review, this takeaway has a achieved just that,

10/10 would recommend. I ordered the peri fries and wings and they were amazing. Nicely flavoured and seasoned well. Great for the price would 100% recommend to others.

My friends and I are regular lunchtime attendants at Pepe's. Friendly staff, great selection of meals and chicken marinades are all extremely flavorsome. I always mix it up everytime and I'm never disappointed.

I order from Pepe’s at least twice a week and even more during lockdown. It’s great food at fair prices and has me looking forward to dinner every time!

I prefer coming to Pepe’s to eat compared to the average chicken shop , the food is always fresh and the flavours are amazing! The staff are friendly and helpful, with great customer service. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cheeky takeout!

I highly recommend visiting this franchise of Pepe's the staff are very friendly, welcoming and provided brilliant customer service. This was my first time visiting Pepe's and the staff were very willing to explain the menu and the most popular choices. I ordered the chicken & cheese quesadilla, fries and mozzarella sticks, my mouth was watering when it all arrived at the table and upon the first bite I knew I was in for a treat! I highly recommend the combo I ordered, especially the Chicken & cheese quesadilla which was succulent and fresh. After an amazing first experience at Pepe's I now visited again twice and have recommended Pepe's Greenwich to all my friends and family!

Amazing food and good staff, it's very similar to nandos but the flavour of the food is so much better and for the value you pay it's a bargain! i normally skip a meal during the day if i know i am going pepes just so i can double up on my order too

Came in a couple months back. Ordered £20 worth of food, was given a few small wings and when I got home and phoned them the girl who answered the phone was very rude and gobby. Clearly 0 customer service training. They did not give me my refund.

Driest chicken I’ve ever had, it wouldn’t go down my throat. cheesecake arrived solid frozen. And this is my third time ordering from here. How it has such a high rating is beyond me. I definitely won’t be ordering ever again. ACTUALLY DISGUSTING.

Food came very late. Unprofessional staff. Didn’t feel sorry that it was late. Foodwise 7/10. The driver said he is the manager himself so i asked him to deduct the delivery charge as it was quite late than they said but didn’t care at all.
